“I don’t have a bad thing to say about Ray’s!! Being a Philly transplant, I have always been on the hunt for a solid pizza restaurant that delivers. Being one of maybe three on the island, they’ve far exceeded my expectation. The style of pizza and variety of menu reminds me of home with not only pizza, but calzones, STROMBOLI, parms, etc. After being here almost 10 years, I have finally found my go-to take out spot. Did I mention how good their specials are?? Don’t ever change!!“

“food burned. horrific service with bad attitudes. no parking at all. no bathrooms. smoke-filled place. commented on a post of theirs and this was how they replied. zero accountability and customer shaming. sir/mam, whoever you are. if you been doing this for many years, then that gives even less of an excuse to provide such poor quality food and service. you claim the locals know about you. I've been here for years and never heard your name ever mentioned once in any pizza recommendation post. Actually, never heard of you at all. EVER! Now I know why. And by the way, those paper thin slices you sell for $11 or 2 is laughable. In NYC they sold $1 slices heftier than that. One last thing. your sign on the outside states one price for your "SPECIAL" and the sign on the inside is a different price. Clearly you lack consistency and integrity with everything across the board.“

“First let me say, the pizza was delicious!! Thin, crispy crust…the kind of yumminess you get from a wood burning oven. The perfect amount of cheese, sauce, and flavor. I don’t know what it’s like normally, but it was very slow and I for sure thought that the service would have been better…it was meh. Pretty cool atmosphere, but I was sitting at the bar and I can’t say I appreciated the bartender coming on duty spraying cleaning supplies and pouring bleach while I sat there. She was most helpful in suggesting the amount and toppings. My mobility issues allowed me to go to the Lobby and receive my Pizza. Leo brought it to the desk, he was very nice, appreciative and caring. April and Leo are great employees to have, they accommodate others issues and make it happen. I am most grateful and thankful. “This morning I realized the order I placed last week for today’s activity was not the closest store to where I was. When I called to see if there was anyway that I could get my order transferred to the closer store Christine said no problem. She placed me on a short hold, called the store and made it happen. This took a big burden off of me since I was concerned about getting to her store and back in time for the short lunch period that we had. That is true customer service since she lost a sale in the process. Next time I am over that way I will definitely go to her store without any hesitation.“

“OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE and the food was DELICIOUS!!! I reached out to the Folly Rd. Marco's about having quite a few pizzas, brownies and drinks delivered to a hotel where I had a group of 28 staying. I called the store a couple times in the weeks leading up to the delivery before placing my order online. Each time I called, the person that answered the phone was so polite and helpful. On delivery day, the driver ("9694-H.M.") was on time (a few minutes early, even!) and so polite. When I asked him about the plates and napkins I had requested when I called the store to confirm my order, he had forgotten them and you could tell he felt horrible. He was so apologetic (said he sees the note about the paper products now and just missed it earlier) and offered to go back to the store and get them or go out and buy some at the store around the corner and bring them back. I asked if he'd get reimbursed for that, and he said no, but that didn't matter (I told him it did matter and we didn't need to do that). The group was already starting to come down for dinner, so I asked the hotel if there was any way they could help out (their customer service had also been stellar!). The hotel "saved the day" and was able to provide some paper plates and napkins, so all was well. I told the driver "problem solved" and no worries. I really appreciated him offering to go above and beyond.....I thought service like that was long gone. I was so impressed with this young man. About 20 minutes later, he showed up again at the hotel with a grocery bag of paper plates and napkins (even though he knew the hotel was able to find some for us). I was so impressed with his integrity! I thanked him and said we were good and maybe he could keep those in his car in case he needs them another time. So, Marco's on Folly Beach Rd........not only did you guys provide a great dinner for my group, but had it delivered by a person who is OUTSTANDING at his job!!! Thank you so much for making our evening GREAT!“
