Great little place..we had breakfast croissants one day and lunch special which was a wonderful Carolina pork bbq sandwich. They are open on Sundays for lunch one of the places on the island. He has outdoor seating and plays jazz on Sunday which added to the beautiful relaxing
If you like grouper as much as I do, you should eat lunch every day at the Island Shack Cafe and get the grouper sandwich. We were on island for 3 days and I had 3 of the best grouper sandwiches on the East Coast. Service/staff is top notch and you get to eat your lunch in the shade under a massive live oak covered in Spanish moss. When on D.I. this is the only place you should be eating lunch!!!

Tried to go today (10/27/23) and they were closed. No sign. Goggle says they were open. We’ve eaten there before and it was the best food on the island. Would love to know if they are closed for the season or just today.
