“This place far exceeded my expectations! The staff was great! The food was great! We got a bundle through Island Head tours (meals and wheels). So, I figured the food would be lousy. However, I was pleasantly surprised when the food was great!“
“We just had another outstanding dinner at Charlie’sWe came early to secure a seat at the bar. The two gentlemen who man the bar are wonderful, professional and kind. They make the experience even better. I ordered the soft shell crab that was prepared fried. I asked if the chef could sauté it and it was no problem. Absolutely delicious!! Can’t wait to return!“
“I had to pull together a reservation last minute for a large group of people (20+) Victoria was so helpful over a series of phone calls and helped me ensure a space. The location is gorgeous and the food was delicious, but the customer service was the best! Thanks so much!“
“I’m giving five stars because of Bailey! He was one of the best servers I’ve ever had! He took pictures for us was very attentive continuously refilling our glasses. He was the type of person you met and they love their job. Honestly a joy to meet him! The food was decent but I do feel the prices were a little high for the quality of the food. But the atmosphere and view definitely made up for it! We even saw dolphins while eating. I will be back!“
“This was my first time visiting this restaurant and the atmosphere was very nice.It is written based on Korean standards. The portion size is larger than expected and it is saltier than expected. It felt like it was cooked with fresh seafood, and leftover food can be taken out.We ate outside on the second floor, and the wind was blowing a bit strong, which bothered us, and the food got cold quickly. However, it was nice to be able to enjoy the food without worrying about fine dust, and the waiter provided continuous care.If you don't like pigeons, I recommend going to the terrace on the first floor rather than outside on the second floor.Parking: Parking is available right nearby, but it is not for restaurant use only. This is paid street parking.“
“I don’t often leave reviews but we had a great meal at Hudson’s last night while on vacation here in Hilton Head and I wanted to share that. Our waiter (wish I could remember his name) was truly great. He was humble and quiet but straightforward and honest with a perfect command of the entire menu including exactly where all of the seafood options were harvested and when. I tried the softshell crab prepared two ways per his recommendation. Both were excellent. I then had Mahi over risotto which he talked me into over the shrimp and grits by explaining the risotto was made by hand. It was also excellent. The drinks were good. Deserts of key lime pie and peanut butter chocolate pie didn’t disappoint either. I didn’t look at the prices frankly but it seemed in range. Everyone else’s meal was great but they didn’t really make an effort to try anything different so I think the key might be to do just that, ask the server for some ideas and then give it a shot. Hopefully you won’t be disappointed and maybe you’ll be as satisfied as I was. Good job Hudson’s! (If you are looking to give the server an attaboy we were on the front river facing section and he was the short light haired man, the other server working with him seemed equally great btw as we interacted with him as well).“
“We had a great meal at the Crazy Crab. Our server Kim was excellent. In addition to being super friendly, she was very quick and attentive through the meal. The food was prepared quickly and perfectly. Our kids don't like seafood, so we really appreciated their diverse menu. This was the perfect spot to have a meal before we set out on a sunset cruise. We always visit the Crazy Crab when we are in town.“
“We've been wanting to try Sundae Cafe for the past few years we went to Tybee and this year we (FINALLY) did! Easily the most recommended spot on the island by locals and I have no doubt why after giving it a try. Simply one of the best meals of my life! Reservations are strongly recommended by the restaurant and that isn't something to be ignored - they were packed the night we were there with no walk in availability.“
“The seafood here is truly amazing. It’s obviously extremely fresh, and it’s very well prepared. You’re probably going to have a bit of a wait to get in, but it is well worth it, I promise.Parking: While there is a free parking lot, this place is so popular it can be hard to find a space.Kid-friendliness: It’s perfectly kid friendly, they even have crayons for the kids.“
“A marvelous gem of a restaurant that has some of the best Cajun food you could hope for. Walking through the door magically transports you 600 miles East to New Orleans, you feel like walking back out the door should place you on Bourbon Street or near Jackson Square. The food is all wonderful and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I highly recommend that no matter your meal, you save room for beignets as these alone are worth the stop.Parking: The restaurant is in a stand alone building adjacent to a strip center so there are plenty of spots along the side of the building and out front of the entrance. I've never had an issue getting a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: This is a single story building with a standard ADA manual door. All tables are free standing and chairs can be moved to accommodate any style chair. Staff is extremely friendly and willing to assist if desired.“
“My family and I traveled to Hilton Head Island to vacation with friends. I made reservations for the Crazy Crab since it was listed as one of the recommended local kid-friendly restaurants by This Week on Hilton Head.Crazy Crab provides ample parking, stunning views with a fun playground for kids, and a vibrant ambiance. The menu consists of a diverse selection of local seafood and turf dishes. My fish tacos were delicious — perfectly battered with lots of flavor. I thought our server, Anya, provided good service throughout the meal for our large group. She was patient, friendly and organized. However, there were some notable drawbacks and disappointments. One of the chairs had ketchup smeared on it when we first arrived, which unfortunately got onto my friend's hands. Additionally, our other friend had shrimp with his broil which were not properly cleaned — thankfully, this was rectified by our server. To top it off, the demeanor of the hostess (possibly a manager) was less than pleasant; she came across as rude and condescending when we addressed our concerns on the placement of the baby sling for our baby’s car seat and our confusion regarding our reservation. A kind and respectful exchange and simple correction would have been more ideal and professional in our opinion, especially since various restaurants have different approaches to baby car seat placement and reservation numbers regarding infants.Despite these setbacks, the overall experience was still enjoyable, thanks to the picturesque setting and Anya's attentive service. However, due to our mixed experience, we are unlikely to return.“
“What a great little spot hubby and I came across on Tybee Island. We visited on a Friday evening after work. We were greeted as we walked in and seated promptly. Our server was attentive and had excellent recommendations. We started with the Frito Misto. It was delicious ? we also had the grilled shrimp with pickled watermelon salad (my favorite) and hubby had the AYE flounder and added shrimp. We were thoroughly pleased with our menu selections and the service. We will visit again.“
“The food was BOMB! The server (also a bartender) Derek was awesome. We got the sampler lobster (banging) Shrimp Scampi (banging), scallops (banging) lamb chops (to die for) Spinach and asparagus (amazing) scallop potatoes (bomb) mashed potatoes a little bland. Overall experience was 11 out of 10.“
“Really great spot to come and hang with a group or just a few people. We were 12 so they split us to two tables, but our service didn’t suffer for it. The servers made excellent suggestions and were accommodating. I don’t personally eat shellfish, but I’ll give it a try every once in a while. Theirs was top notch and got good reviews from the others with me who were only eating shellfish. I had the steak and it was too-notch. I would definitely send my friends and family here. They also had live music which was fun but not overwhelming for the atmosphere.“
“Top notch experience last night at Truffles Cafe. The interior of the restaurant is just gorgeous, with an upscale, sophisticated feel. In spite of that, we felt perfectly comfortable in our casual attire. Our server, while new in his role, got everything right. He was cheerful, attentive, offered great suggestions and made our experience overall a memorable one. Our drinks (Paloma and Martini) were a lovely way to start off the meal. Shortly after warm bread with garlic chive butter arrived at the table, our starter of Baked Brie followed. It was baked in a flaky, turnover-style pastry crust, dotted with Kahlua-soaked pecans, and served with toasted baguette slices. Our entrees (Crab Cake and Grilled Ahi Tuna) were delicious and cooked to perfection. We wrapped up our meal with a shared slice of Key Lime pie - a decadently scrumptious finish. All of the staff here were friendly and helpful. We could not be more pleased and would definitely visit again if we return to Hilton Head. One tip for anyone who wants to make a visit to Truffles Cafe and is NOT staying on the island. There is a $9 entrance fee at the gate to enter the island and you’ll need to be prepared to pay that to enter and visit the restaurant. Thanks so much for the lovely meal and service! Would highly recommend.“
“Ask yourself if a beautiful dining view is worth eating a less than exciting meal? If so, Benny’s is for you. Outside patio was very nice (again lovely view), server was lacking in attentiveness, menu offers a variety to accommodate fish and “meat” diners but nothing with cutting edge preparation. It was suggested to try the scallop dinner but $36 for 6 scallops on tiny mounds of farro is a bit rich for my wallet. My dining partner ordered the scallop appetizer and was less than impressed with the 3 tiny scallops on the plate. I selected the Swordfish dish but it was prepared with mahi because they didn’t have swordfish. The restaurant is new and will surely work out the kinks in the coming weeks.“
“The gumbo, the gumbo, the gumbo! Don’t judge a book by its cover. The outside of the building and location had me on pause. The inside is clean and cute! The lady that took my order was nice. The gumbo was how gumbo is supposed to taste. I’d definitely go back there if I find myself in Tybee again.“
“Best meal I have had down here yet. By a long shot…the shrimp and grits?!? Stupid good. The pimento cheese dip? Seriously. It’s just above anything else. Service was prompt. We sat outside under a large canopy/tent/umbrella. Fun vibe. Would absolutely come back again. Maybe even tomorrow…!Wheelchair accessibility: Not bad. They have a side gate to get in which is a bit gentler ramp than the one on the main entrance.“
“Celeste is one of our favorite restaurants when visiting from Los Angeles. The food is creative and beautifully presented while maintaining the Coastal flavors and features. The servers are professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We love the upscale ambience which provides the palette for a memorable evening.“
“The food was WONDERFUL. The waiter was great. Those are the most important items to us!!!!The hostess was not very welcoming or engaging. The original table she took us to was not acceptable but she said nothing else available. I got back up and looked around and found an unoccupied table that would seat 4 and when I requested to be switched I really had to be pushy but she finally reluctantly did switch us. It still wasn't a great table but very much better than the 1st location. Other than that I would certainly go back, the food, drinks, and service outstanding.“
“This place was really fantastic. Since we are restaurant owners here in Beaufort county, it is quite rare to get a Friday night off but we did and luckily wound up at Crudo in Old Town Bluffton.Very cute and intimate bistro-style restaurant with old world charm. The staff was incredible. We sat at the bar and spoke with Scott (who happens to be an incredible musician) and Johnathan, a sophisticated world-traveller and all around great person. They crafted beautiful towers, sushi rolls and crudos right in front of us. Jackson looked and acted the part of a real deal manager/bartender and made me an awesome old fashioned.Food and pace were expertly curated and managed by Chef Carl Shuman and Will. I can promise you the boar pappardelle was worth the trip on its own and the best plate of pasta I have had in as long as I can remember.Great value, cool spot and definitely a must try.“
“We visited Hilton Head/Bluffton/Beaufort area for a few days from New York City and had a list of places to go. Unfortunately we didn't make it to all but we did stop by Red Stripes and babyyyy, we were glad we did!! The food was absolutely delicious and totally unexpected. Jamaican cuisine is not something every one can do, native or not, but the owner and the chefs at the Bluffton location exactly what they're doing. The food, drinks, and service was impeccable. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend!“
“We recently held our sons rehearsal dinner at the Boathouse Pavillion. it was amazing and couldn’t have gone any better. Tilden was our contact and as a former event coordinator I can tell you she knows her stuff! an absolute pleasure to deal with and I had no worries throughout the process. the food was delicious and a brownie dessert that was recommended was incredible. The service and the ambience was first class! We were so happy to have found this place. If you have an event and are not having it here, you are really missing the boat!“
“We had a great time celebrating a birthday! Our group was large with kids and adults. We were able to make a reservation that day, and followed up with the phone call to change it from 6 to 8, no problem. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. There was a band playing covers of 80s music, I bet I’m allowed side, but added to a celebratory dinner.Parking: Full lot!“
“Ms Patti was such a delight she was our waitress the Aunt of the owner she told us some of their history they were born and raised not far from the restaurant. The owner was very nice the restaurant was beautiful the setup was elegant the music was nice the diversity was great. Very nice restaurant next time in Hilton we will be back to visit again. Also an amazing outside Patio!“
“We have our favorites spots to eat on Tybee and did not realize this year that many restaurants are closed on Tuesdays. Wind Rose Cafe was open and even though we do not smoke or drink, we went in to get something to eat. The woman who does the cooking took our order and after we asked what she would recommend...we opted for a couple of burgers. Hands down...the BEST burger we've ever had on Tybee. You can tell it was hand-made, very juicy and tasted great. We did not get her name...but our thanks to the woman who made that recommendation and that burger! We will be back.T“
“Best local seafood restaurant in Bluffton. There are too many favorites for me to list here with adding the whole menu, but the Calamari, Fried Oysters, and He Crab Soup should not be missed. The fish and chips are ridiculously good too. Yes, they have malt vinegar.“
“Talk about a rockstar owner. Team there is hilarious, friendly, and the food is incredible. Came in here with my sister and my to-be brother-in-law over the Christmas holiday. Our experience here was one of the top highlights of our vacation. I've got one piece of advice to future patrons: get. the. ramen.Go Birds!!!“
“We came here with a tour so I was expecting it to be a pretty mediocre spot and was happily wrong. This place is a gem and a definite stop on your way to Tybee Island. We ordered the Devil crab sandwich and devil crab platter. Both full of crab and flavor. I tried it with the signature sauces at the table and it was so delicious. I'm regretting not buying the BBQ sauce. On top of having good food, it's a cool place to visit and walk around. Between the alligator pit and chatty birds it's a fun place for the family.“
“Fantastic tacos and they have delicious homemade hot sauce. I had al pastor and carne asada, Tim had Al Pastor and shrimp tacos. The tacos were delicious, huge, and came with grilled onions and raw sliced radishes. Service was spot on, our bartender did a really great job. The other patrons were friendly. We are glad we stopped by and would totally come back if we return to the area. We've been roadtripping and it's so lovely to meander upon nice tasty family restaurants that care about their business and patrons. We each had a top shelf margarita, I'm really sensitive to sugar, seemed like there was a marg mix in them. The top shelf is affordable and he asked if we wanted a grand Marnier float, which of course we did.“
“This was a memorable place in our vacation travels; from the club you can walk to the beach! The atmosphere was calming and fun. There was jazz and RB music from a one-man-band; he was delightful. The food was delicious and moderately priced.“
“We were staying in the area, and my partner Googled places to try near us. We ended up trying out the Sandbar, and our first visit was fantastic! The bartender, DB, took great care of us. He made us drinks, poured us shots, and recommended the blackened fish tacos, shrimp bagettes (don't remember the official name), and wings. Everything was delicious and perfect. We went back again the next day and the vibe was great again but the bartenders were not as attentive (DB was off) and the fish tacos were mediocre but I don't think we asked for them to be blackened ?. It's worth a try!“
“The service was amazing and the food was even better. The portion sizes are more than enough. We had to get carry our containers. The hubby had the veal and I had the shrimp and pesto pasta. We will definitely eat here again. We were in town for a quick weekend getaway.“
“Found this totally by accident... And it was filled with fun people, served Great bloody Marys and really good bar food along with a large menu. Apparently it is a Harley mtg place for special rides and raising money. Cute, clean, small, friendly, and delicious food.“
“Let me start by saying it's a good place, the food is fair. Our issue was with the server that day. He brought the wrong order, forgot the silverware, nobody was outside for a while to take the order and then waited for him to come back so we could ask for the check. He was very friendly but his mind was not on it. That's the reason for the ⭐⭐⭐⭐Vegetarian options: They r not labeled but you can find some dishes that could work for you as vegetarian“
“This place has amazing smash burgers! Overall: excellent, quick, and friendly service, tasty food with good prices, and a nice location with outdoor seating available. They also have ice cream which is a big plus!I definitely recommend eating here for lunch or dinner!“
“The food was delicious. Started with the mushroom soup, which was very tasty. The entry was fish and also included vegetables. The flavors of all the ingredients worked well together. Two thumbs-up to the chef. The wait staff was very attentive and professional. Worth tracking down this wonderful restaurant. I will be back.“
“Came in on a Thursday afternoon around the holidays. Able to easily grab a table outside with a pleasant water view. Server was kind but not overly attentive (we waited awhile for them to realize we were done and needed the check). I had a pulled pork sandwich, which was easily one of the best meals on HHI. My friends also enjoyed their meals. Overall, would totally go back -- no major "wow" factor but a super solid 4 stars.“
“What a find. Beyond the typical local seafood, bringing in the curry levels up the flavor. Freshly made, the curried shrimp and crabcake sandwich is packed full of crab meat and not fillers. The hush puppies have a good traditional flavor with a little punch of crab. Delicious. Small place. I have a feeling I was lucky to get a seat because I showed up right after they opened. Worth a trip to Wilmington Island to have a meal here.“
“You should stop reading this review immediately and tell Google maps to take you to Sage Room. Everyone at our table agreed our meal was fantastic. We had snow peas, fried ravioli, shrimp cocktail, crabcakes, pork chops, tuna, keylime martinis, bread pudding and a peanut butter chocolate situation. I’ve seen a few negative reviews mentioned not having bread—why would you fill yourself up with bread when all this other food is so delicious? Our entire conversation was about how good the food was. Our waiter took great care of us and the rest of the room. He was hospitable, and took care of each table in a friendly manner. The restaurant seems to take great care of their staff and they, in turn, take great care of the customers. Don’t miss this if you’re on Hilton Head.“
“We haven't been here before, but we're glad we discovered this restaurant! The service was kind and all the food we chose was really delicious and a huge portion. There was no disappointment, there was a free table, even at this busy time. We have added this place to our favorites list. THANK YOU!“
“This is my favorite restaurant in Hilton Head. Live music just about every night. Great outdoor seating with a view of the harbor. The food was great and the Hurricane drinks were delicious. After you eat you can take a walk on the boardwalk and get some photos with your family of the yachts in the background then check out all the little shops. Overall just a great dining experience. I will definitely be back.“
“WOW is all I have to say. We were visiting Tybee Island from Arizona and say this place on maps and decided to give it a try. The entrance is a little sketchy and doesn’t look like a restaurant but do not let that deter you. The restaurant and patio seating is actually huge. We sat on the patio with our dog and the view was amazing. For food I would 1000% recommend the sweet potato fries. The cinnamon butter they come with is out of this world. I will have to go back to Tybee Island just for those fries. I also had the crab burger and it was delicious. The sauce it comes with is so flavorful. Top tier service. I cannot say enough good things about this place.“
“Slapfish is always a treat to have. I always get the lobster taquitos and the grilled fish bowl for the most part, but their lobster roll is also delicious. The people that work here are the best and very accommodating with your order. It's a cool spot to sit and eat and not stuffy on the inside. If you prefer to do take out, it's always nice too. Same great taste. Will always enjoy coming here.“
“Delicious food and beautiful atmosphere! Our server Dave was wonderful- thank you! Highly recommend the shrimp and calamari, she crab soup, and fried chicken if you are feeling some comfort food. Portions are great, fantastic and friendly wait staff. Beautiful location on the water, we so much enjoyed our experience!“
“One of our favorite places we dined for dinner while on our first trip to HHI. We both started with the delicious beet salad and I got crab cakes for entry and husband the roasted chicken. We enjoyed both. Would go again and would definitely recommend.“
“Dined at lunch. Had the Asian influenced salad. Husband had fish and chips. Started with shrimp app at recommendation of server. It was delicious with 6 large shrimp. Broth it was in was like a delicious soup. Yummy to dip the bread in too. Most impressive atmosphere too. Beautiful instaworthy surroundings IMO. Try to get one of the 2 top tables along the right side with large leather armchairs if you are a party of 2! Loved it! Would go again and definitely recommend. See pictures attached for what we ordered.“
“A regular location for us. Sydney was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Also met Colin. Cared about our experience and we enjoyed meeting him. As always, food was excellent. We thought the salmon could have used a little bit of garnishing to improve the presentation. The potato leek soup was a nice starter. The bourbon bread pudding was outstanding.“
“Gary and Alex took great care of our table and the meal was outstanding. My wife had the chili soup special, which should be added as a regular menu item offering, as it was truly exceptional. We done here regularly and the Octagon team and menu offerings never disappoints.“
“Great little place..we had breakfast croissants one day and lunch special which was a wonderful Carolina pork bbq sandwich. They are open on Sundays for lunch one of the places on the island. He has outdoor seating and plays jazz on Sunday which added to the beautiful relaxing “
