“First time on Daufuskie and we had a good time. Fun little crab restaurant, basic menu, drinks and live music. The only downside is you have to pay $10 to go onto the island. Also food definitely took awhile, we went on a busy Friday. Felt very hot, sticky and crowded. Drinks were good and we met some fun vacationers. Definitely a dive, I liked it“

The staff was incredible! Beautiful views all around the restaurant, they allow you to take drinks to-go in plastic cups, so get there early to grab a drink and walk around the property!“

“We went to Coast for our 30th anniversary dinner. We made reservations, which helped. We were greeted by the host team and seated immediately, which was wonderful. Yes, you have to pay $ 10 to get in, but the fee is deducted from your bill when you present your parking pass.

The service: We had Tom (Thomas), and he was amazing. Super kind, attentive, and quick to offer advice. He is the type of server you hope to get.

The food: The meal was on point.

The appetizer was wonderful, and we got the seafood michelada, which was wonderful. If we tweak anything, we recommend warming the tortilla chips. The seafood salsa was great cold, but would have been good warm as well. Good balance of salsa and seafood, the salsa was more upfront, but not in a way that would be disappointing.

The main dishes: I got the seasonal fish, plancha-style. It was a nice local fish filet with lemon butter and asparagus. Everything was cooked very well, no complaints at all. My bride got the filet with whipped potatoes and green beans. The steak was cooked perfectly and came with a sauce, but it could have used some seasoning, since my wife is less of a sauce person. The green beans were solid, and the potatoes were really good, and you could tell they were real potatoes, which is what you would expect. Also, the manager was attentive and came by to ask about our meal, and we noticed him doing that with other tables, which was nice.

The bar kicked out drinks efficiently and offered generous pours. We ended with their chocolate torte, and they customized it to highlight our anniversary. After dinner, we grabbed a drink and went out to view the ocean for a while. The outside area provided another bar with heaters and amazing staff, which was nice.

We've read other negative reviews, but this wasn't our experience. For the two of us, with appetizer, meal, dessert, and a few drinks, and a Peligrino was around 250 with tax and tip. We knew this would likely be the price point. We were not disappointed with the service, the food, and the view. Thus, the overall experience of the atmosphere, food, service, live music, and beachfront view was solid and worth it. We spent a week at Hilton Head and ate at several recommended restaurants. That said, this was by far the best meal we had. We would absolutely return.“

“9/17/25 was our 2nd trip to Benny's and it did not disappoint either time. Our first trip was last fall when you had just opened & the rooftop was not completed yet. Me, my sister & my niece were delighted with our choices...grouper, seafood cannelloni , Brazilian fish stew...WOW!! But what we were most impressed with was our waiter, Ladrae' Foster, a young 20 year old man. He was lots of fun and very knowledgeable about the menu. We asked LOTS of questions about entrees and he always had the most detailed answer. Excellent service, too! We'll definitely be back!“

“We came to crazy crab and was lucky enough to have Susan as our waitress. Susan is the greatest waitress I’ve had at any restaurant ever. She makes sure we get our food in a reasonable time and we don’t stay thirsty. I would give susan a 100/10 on service and I think she needs a raise.“

“Food is great! My husband and I visit every time we are at HHI. Their clams strips are the best we have EVER had. The hush puppies are delicious as well. “It was a rainy evening and we needed a place to eat while traveling with our dog! They staff here was super friendly and welcoming, we were able to dine with our dog comfortably outdoors and it they even and wam covered seating on a rainy night! food was delicious also!“

“Tonight was our 2nd time eating at Crudo and once again everything was amazing. We started with the crispy octopus which was flavorful and tender. It was recommended to us by the server and another couple we ended up talking to seated next to us, and it was truly a fantastic recommendation. My husband had the Wagyu steak which was better than any local steakhouse in the area and I had the Lobster Roll which was sweet, tender, and juicy. The service was impeccable and Crudo offers a quant, quiet atmosphere. If you haven’t been, you are missing out on the best restaurant Bluffton has to offer.“

“NO BONES ABOUT IT, THE RIBS ARE OUTSTANDING -- my husband and I have eaten at Red Fish every time we've visited HHI in the last 15 plus years. To-date, I've always gone seafood: sea bass, grouper, salmon and scallops. Decided to mix it up and go for the rack of ribs (or should it read raaaaaaaack of ribs). It filled a very large oval dish. Despite the size, the ribs were perfectly cooked, moist, tender, fell right off the bone. The sides of slaw and blue cheese potato gratin were great too. Well done Red Fish, well done. PS -- took half the ribs home and ate them for lunch today.“

“We stopped for a mid afternoon snack and beer and were so grateful we did! Azaria was our exceptional waitress, who was pleasant, sweet, answered questions, and gave recommendations. We had oysters and the crab/shrimp dip in the bread. My husband gets oysters whenever we visit a coastal area (we live on the coast in Delaware) and found the oysters from the May River to be the best he has had. The dip was perfect - thick, full of crab and shrimp, and not salty. We visit Bluffton every Spring and we will be back to Bluffton Family Seafood House! Also, we recommended this place to others already!“

“We come every year as a family to tybee because of the atmosphere. We came down again today for another reason our daughter's birthday that passed and went and ate here when I tell you they make you feel at home and family they do. The waitress Laura was so sweet and had great service she didn't know what today was or anything she just remembered us from a trip before. She made us feel like we use to when we all were here. We always loved there food and I forgot that my order came with tomatoes. Of course being allergic when she brought the food I saw and was just going to let my husband have it. Her and the chief made me another order and had it ready in no time. They were great. They apologized but it wasn't there fault it was mine. When I say I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone I would and have. We come from Chattanooga and I even tell people there about them. “I am so glad that PaPa’s is near my home. The food is always consistent, good and enjoyable. The servers are all good and soon you become attached to them. Their BBQ is very good as is their seafood. How can this happen, but it does! I love their food! I hope the recent loss of their owner will not effect the operation of the restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic — every bite was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. But what truly made our experience unforgettable was our waitress, Mandy. Mandy was simply amazing. She was incredibly warm, attentive, and personal, taking the time to make us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. She went above and beyond to help make our son’s birthday feel special, and her kindness and energy brought a smile to all of our faces — even after a long, sandy day at the beach. It’s rare to find a place where the food and the service are equally top-notch, but this restaurant nailed it. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we could come back. “Tried the Philly cheese steak, definitely got more sandwiche than I expected and delicious. Seems like a nice mix of local folks, and folks visiting on their trips to the island. The Bartender was nice, and it was pretty cool little spot to eat, or watch your favorite teams. Nice surprise since we really went just because we could walk there.“

“We dined at this restaurant last evening arriving around 5:15 and seated right away. Our server, Hart was awesome and our orders were accurate and he went out of his way to accommodate our requests. The atmosphere was nice but started to get really noisy upon our departure. The hush puppies were delicious and our Bloody Mary was exceptional but the rest of our food was mediocre. I will say my scallops were sweet and tender. Everyone else in our party said their dinners were just ok.“

“I’m so bummed it didn’t get photos of the entrees. Our server was THE BEST!! I forgot her name - if I remember I will update this post. The food was delicious and they have some pretty awesome specials to offer. I must go back at some point to try that blue cheese bread pudding (I mean what!?!?!). Wine list was appropriate and BTW - if you’re wondering, that grilled cheese on the menu comes with ALL those ingredients listed on the menu. I had to ask! Parking can be a challenge but no one parked on the main road where there was there was plenty of paid parking if there is none in the lot. We missed the restaurant the first time driving through the lot because there are several other businesses and a gas station so we were overwhelmed entering the lot. Obviously we found it:)“
