“Staying across the street so after fishing all day was time to eat even though it was late they were still open and had several people still inside. Got the boiled peanuts and okra to snack on until the main course arrived. Got the shrimp boil. It was more food than expected but no complaints here. Only issue I would bring up is to turn the music down some. Speakers were behind us so every now and then we noticed how loud it actually was.

“Not gonna lie, we ended up here accidentally. We prefer local spots, so lots of places were closed for Xmas week. Boy did we luck out! The atmosphere was very comfortable for me, my teens & my septuagenarian parents. The servers were personable, the owner visited & had a real conversation. They even did the perfect birthday thing for my 18 year old (not to embarass them, but they felt special). Best of all, the food was AMAZING! We got gumbo, shrimp & grits, seafood platter, shrimp creole - all of it was delicious! Definitely recommend!

“The ladies that work the cafe are AWESOME. They always come out to see my dog, Archie. He loves the attention they give them!! Very friendly and helpful with any questions we’ve had. The coffee drinks are AMAZING. We had some sandwiches last weekend & they were very good. Oh & did I mention they have ice cream!!”

“I decided to come to this restaurant with my family during my vacation here. Our server, Deana, was absolutely wonderful and attentive. We ordered our food having high expectations because of the prices. As soon as we got our food, I was completely appalled at the canned green beans, especially considering it was the fresh vegetable of the day. Overall the food was very average and extremely overpriced and the canned green beans have caused me to never return. Do yourself a favor, bring your own sandwich from home and enjoy the dockside view.”

“I have worked many retail positions throughout my life, many during my teen years. Good service includes acknowledging customers who walk in the door with at least a "Hello" and possibly "Is there anything I can help you with?" Instead, the two teenager/early 20s employees had scowls on their faces the entire time we were in the store, shot stares at us and when we went up to the counter to order our ice cream the one employee still did not ask us how she could help us; my husband had to initiate the conversation with her to tell her what he wanted to order. Furthermore, he said "thank you" to her twice during their engagement and she still said absolutely nothing to him. Very rude customer service and also did not represent Edisto Island well. This place is a tourist attraction because of it's beauty and you should be grateful that people want to come to your home and even more so spend money in your overpriced store. I do not recommend!”

“This place is amazing. We have ate here 2 times this week. The bartender makes this place. He is so out going !!!! The food. Omg. The crab dip. The steak. The chicken with cheese and bacon and the Wings are out of this world. And the drinks. The drinks was amazing. Keep it up guys and keep the bartender.”

“Went to the beach to see the sunset tonight while celebrating the Xmas holiday in Edisto, which has become our family tradition. On a whim, stopped by Locals and ordered a cheese pie at the window. Drove around the island looking at the beautifully decorated homes and holiday lights, and then got a prompt text AND call 15 minutes later to let me know it was done. Picked it up and was even asked if it looked good to me and met expectations. It did! It was cooked perfectly, the crust was just enough thickness but not too dough-like, the cheese to sauce ratio was on point, and our family devoured it. No leftovers! 10/10 would recommend.”
