“We had a reservation for 9. On entering the restaurant, we were not greeted by either of the two hostesses, who sort of ignored us. We approached the desk, and after giving the name on our reservation, we were led to our table. Not one word was uttered by the hostess. At this point, I was thinking the service was going to be bad. Within a minute of being seated, a bright and breezy waitress came to take our drink orders and go over the fresh catch of the day. She was upbeat, friendly and was able to quickly answer a couple of questions about menu items. Drinks ordered as were the various appetizers. They both arrived quickly, accompanied by a delightful basket of assorted bread rolls. I ordered the fried green tomatoes that came with 3 large blackened shrimp. While they were in no way greasy, the tomatoes were under seasoned and the shrimp a tad overcooked. Two in our party had sushi and said it was very good. Another had the she crab soup which was thick and creamy with a good amount of crab. The oysters were large and very fresh. The shrimp and grits came as a massive bowl, loaded down with shrimp, and I was told it was excellent. Other entrées ordered by our group included steaks, scallops over cheese grits, lobster tails and a house salad with grilled shrimp. Judging by the clean plates all enjoyed their choices. A couple of minor negatives, were were not offered refills of our cocktails or iced water, although those having soft drinks were replenished often. The Wahoo Fish house sits over, looking the marsh and the tables at the windows are best, so if this is your preference, I recommend making a reservation and requesting a table there. We arrived at 4.30, and it was not that busy, but the parking area was full already. The vacant lot next door was offering parking for $5.00, which the restaurant will refund after dining. Make sure to keep the parking ticket. Two other points worth mentioning, by 6.00pm the restaurant is hopping, with guests lining up to dine. Secondly, like most places in a tourist area, the prices are not cheap. So if you're not prepared to pay $60 plus per person, you best look elsewhere. Would I eat here again, I certainly would.“
“Appetizer bread with the dip was awesome! Service and staff are exceptional and we throughly enjoyed our meals!Vegetarian options: Bread with dips was perfect for vegans!Parking: Plenty across street if can’t park beside property. Depends on season.Kid-friendliness: Huge play ground ship for the kiddos!“
“Good food in a rustic atmosphere and very nice service. We stopped here for breakfast and were very satisfied. The coffee was very good and we also found the food very tasty. We had the pancakes with syrup, eggs and bacon (Grandma's Sampler Pancake Breakfast). In the shop next door you can also find souvenirs, gifts and various small items.“
“This restaurant was wonderful. The service was especially kind and friendly. I walked in, and knocked over a stack of menus, then freezing in shock, and the hostess and nearby staff all comforted me and were very insistant that it was okay. They then laughed with me about it later. Very embarrassing, but they handled it beautifully! Plus, the food came out fast, and was fantastic. Some of the juiciest fish I’ve ever had, and a fantastic outdoor seating. I would 100% return.“
“Food is incredible!! Unreal and unique much needed for a breakfast place!! ALSO ARIEL(she’s taken our order multiple times now and made our coffees) SHES INCREDIBLE!! The rest of the staff also seems super happy and wanting to be there!! Great job and great place!!“
“This was our first time here and it won't be our last! We started with the Hot Crab Dip and it was delicious! I had the Filet Mignon and it just melted in your mouth. My husband had the Litchfield platter and it was perfectly prepared. We can't wait to go back!“
“This place really is "The Happiest Place on Earth". I really love this place and always make a point of eating here when I visit the area, which is several times a year. Everyone working here exudes happiness and they are so NICE. Never had anything other than a fantastic breakfast here too...huge portions and everything always PERFECT. Thank you! See you soon!“
“To say I was beyond thrilled to visit was an understatement. I drove two hours to check it out. I LOVE palmetto cheese, I go through a bunch and currently have 5 tubs of various flavors in my fridge! Huge fan. This store lived up to the hype and it was a paradise of all the foods, that the company serves. Plus they have merch and crackers, dishes, sandwiches, etc to try with all the delicious spread! Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!“
“Amazing service from Frank! We got the fried pickles to start. They are cut just right and the fresh cracked pepper really sets it off. Drinks: Agave Picante and Blood Orange Sunset Margarita. For our entrees: smothered fried chicken with Mac and cheese and the broccolini & bistro filet with loaded potatoes. For dessert we split the banana pudding. Everything was top notch. Highly recommend this spot. And sitting outside when the weather is nice is a must!“
“The Georgetowner chicken sandwich was the best meal I have ever had in my entire life, the flavor was exquisite idk what was in the sauce but I absolutely loved it. Got the roasted potatoes as my side and those were delicious too. I definitely recommend !!!!!“
“A real hidden gem. Very elegant outdoor seating reminding me of a walled garden resturant in France. A great special occasions place as it is a little pricey. Staff is great. This was written in the fall of 2023.Went there today with a group of friends for lunch. (Spring 2024). Upon arrival we were told the outdoor was full due to a wedding shower being booked. It clearly says on the website no reservations for lunch. Obviously disappointed as my friends were looking forward to the outdoor experience. The on duty manager can not handle situations, when I questioned her about no lunch reservations and she had “booked” the event she became very frustrated and confrontational. Had I not been a regular customer, I would have left never to return. The only update to my review is the owner’s should consider a new daytime manager. She is a terrible representative to a wonderful place. Her optic was embarrassing even withMembers of her crew.“
“First time coming here, and we were pleasantly surprised. Very unique place, food and service was good, and beer was very cold. It was a little hard to find, just look for the green mailbox with PIT on it. Our only issue was a kitchen worker cussing out the host. GD, MF, etc., right after we were seated. I would have given 5 stars but for that.“
“A great relaxed environment inside with views of the inlet. She crab soup super delicious and rich. Fried seafood platter was great. Lightly breaded. Not oily, not your average fish fry. Mussels were on point with a great cream & white wine sauce with diced tomatoes and fresh spinach. The price was for quality and portions were large. Every dish that came out looked amazing. We will return.“
