Our food was awesome! I had the catfish and my husband had the flounder , both were awesome and we both had fried shrimp. The cornbread is a nice touch when you sit down. “We went here for my wife's birthday and could not have been happier with our experience. Great atmosphere and service, shout out to our server Melody. The food was superb. I had the chef's special, blackened trigger fish with rice pilaf and curry sauce, while my wife had the seafood risotto. Both were delicious. Don't forget dessert while you are there. The turtle cheesecake was fantastic.“

I ordered the combo which included a taco, enchilada, and burrito. Both tasted exactly the same and I’m not sure they were even different in any way and the taco could’ve been from Taco Bell it was so bland. The shredded chicken was tasty but the meet in the other tacos was so fatty. The chips and salsa were delicious though!“

“I was in Beaufort, SC for a family event and we about 30 of us decided to eat at Red Rooster Cafe. First time there. The food was delicious. I had the French Toast Breakfast with turkey sausage.“

“We had a family occasion to visit Madison's a few weeks ago with a party of six. We had reservations and the meal had been planned for a while. When the food arrived, we (most of us) were astonished at the small size of a combination platter. I personally had scallops and flounder. I had two TINY strips of flounder, not even the size of a frozen fish stick. What a disappointment. The scallops were also 'marble' size. The price of the meal, with an adult beverage, was over 70.00. The cost nowhere represented what the meal should have been. One of our couples asked if the combination platter was enough to split. The server's answer was "they could eat one of them by themselves." This should have been our warning. Very disappointed in the meal. I have had appetizers larger the two tiny slices of flounder. We return to Beaufort on occasions, as family lives there, but we will NOT return to Madison's.“

“We visit this establishment every year while on vacation and it’s always delicious. However, this year the portion size was EXTREMELY small. I usually split an entree with my husband who is a big guy but luckily this year I ordered my own & glad I did. Another person in our party order a “side” of fried rice and her portion size was more than double the size of our entree’s. Otherwise the food is delicious.“

“Very positive experience. We ate on the outside porch on Friday evening. It was a beautiful nighttime view of the water & park, yet we stayed warm because of the overhead heat lamps. I had the fried pork wontons & my husband had the shrimp burger. Both were excellent. Our server suggested dessert - the fried cheesecake strawberry doughnut. It was so DELICIOUS!!!!!!!“
