“Our server Ellie was exceptional! We had a lovely meal on a brisk winter day. The sheet crab soup is delicious and the lobster grilled cheese is amazing. Wonderful food and great service!”
“First time coming here and man this place was amazing. The staff was super friendly, the food was amazing and they even had a live band playing. I personally recommend getting the lucky 1 sub and the tattooed moose burger.Parking: The parking lot has a bunch of pot holes when you first drive in, make sure your shocks are ready to go off roading lol.Kid-friendliness: There is some outdoor kids stuff for them to play on.”
“Lost Isle is a gem! Unique ambiance and patio / fire pit vibe pairs well with the all wood-fired menu. Open kitchen concept is fun to watch. Delicious, innovative cocktail menus and cocktails on tap. The chicken is to die for, as is the curry collards, polenta, and the whipped ricotta. My wife said one of her favorite spots in Charleston at any price! Of course, picking the right night/weather to go is crucial, as this is entirely outdoor seating. Dress appropriately. This is THE woodfired vibe in charleston (most definitely not Southbound, this is half the cost and twice a good!)”
“What a great addition to Johns Island. Jordan has an incredible knowledge of wine and terroir. The small group wine tastings are a great combination of learning, tasting wines from really small wineries, and making friendship, all accompanied by their delicious cheese plates. Can't wait to go to a wine and cigar pairing night soon.”
“Always my favorite lunch spot at KI! For this visit we had Cafe Eugenia make a beautiful lemon raspberry cake for my dad's 80th birthday party- it was wonderful and a huge hit at the party. Thank you so much for fitting us in to your busy Easter schedule- we will be ordering for our next occasion soon!”
“We had lunch there yesterday we had the smash burger, California Club sandwich, amazing grilled cheese and tomato soup on sourdough bread white creamy American cheese with caramelized onions. What a GREAT Place will be back”
“Great value, as they provide you with a huge selection of fried foods to choose from. More of a takeout place but you can eat at the outdoor benches. Onion rings, shrimp, fried clams and the flounder was solid.”
“Always a fun and chill experience here! I attended the valentines chocolate and wine pairing event and it was both delicious and spectacular. Our host, Michael, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I love the atmosphere and the super friendly staff!”
“Pooka’s kitchen is one of a kind and serves absolutely delicious food. The platinum wing sauce was unmatched, the fried fish and shrimp had the perfect crust, and the hush puppies were out of this world. God was in this dish. Great service and energy all around.”
“While visiting we had breakfast here and it was amazing! So much so, that we went back for lunch on another day. The owner and employees were amazing and working hard the whole time. Very much family feel of the place. The food was great, all of it!”
“We had an outstanding dinner experience here. The pace was nice and relaxed, the food was excellent, and the service was wonderful...can't wait to come back and experience this again!”
“Great coffee and even better staff! I walked in without knowing they already closed for the day, and was still greeted with a smile and offered a cold brew. Thank you for the great service!”
“Scott and the whole team at Hege's were amazing on a busy St. Patricks Day weekend! We sat at a twotop in the bar area and Tiffany was our server. She was amazing and really helped make the night special. The food and drinks are always exceptional. We had the crab and shrimp cocktail and steak tartare for starters and for dinner the blackened redfish and steak frites. Hege's lives up to the Kiawah Island experience.”
“Interesting place. I wish I was more of a wine drinker because it looks like the place to be if I was Nice slate of beers though.Nice service with a genuine welcome.Food was pub like. My burger was delicious.Look forward to going back”
“If you’re thinking about stopping, do it. My wife and I just picked up some food after months of passing by their truck and only wish we had stopped sooner. We tried their quesadilla and beef and chicken tacos, and man did they marinate and season everything beautifully. It’s the closest we’ve had to authentic Mexican food we’ve found in Charleston. We will definitely be making the trip back to John’s Island just for this truck.”
“Hands down one of the best places we’ve gotten breakfast on any vacation. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was great, and so was the music! I had the crab cake Benedict & my husband had the country fried steak Benedict. 10/10 recommended.”
“ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!! Vibe on-point! Beer - yum! Dog-friendly, too, but the funny thing I noticed there were a lot of couples with their littles that seem to favor this place. So cute! We will be back!”
“They need to slightly tweak the breakfast buffet. Eggs were salty and spiked with water. Not good. Sausages were not good. Easy to fix, but for $40/person, should expect scrambled eggs that are cooked properly, not dry but also watery, if you know what I mean, and sausage that tastes good.French toast was stale and had been sitting.”
“The girl working today was awesome! I was deciding between two sandwiches-she said she personally made the chicken salad and that it was a good batch. Sold. She presented the sandwich and was excited about the beautiful thick red tomato that has finally arrived. I was too! Just fun to see someone enjoy their job and CARE about all aspects of the product. Wish I had gotten her name. You make a Great chicken salad btw.”
“Each time I come down to stay at our family’s home in Kiawah, we always end up walking down the beach to The Sanctuary’s Bar to end our evening. This year the staff was A++++. I have to give a special shoutout to Nel, Britney & Mr. Wesley for going above & beyond the entire week, each night we visited. From seeing some of us waiting in line & before we even got to the front of the line, knowing & having our drinks ready or to helping my grandmother onto our golf cart as she is handicap. They made our family have the most fun we have had in years down here in Kiawah. We look forward to being back over Easter. Thanks for everyone who took care of us throughout the week!”
“Recently moved to Hollywood area. Was looking for Mexican after being sick for week! Was not disappointed at all! Food was awesome, service fast and great!! Watched a little football!! We will definitely be back!”
“Excellent park with just about everything. A playground, basketball court, nature center, soccer field, Frisbee golf and many other games to many to list.Playground: Great for all ages up to 18Picnic area: Picnic tables and grills.”
“I’m not a drinker, but I assume that part’s easy enough to get right. I was blown away by how good the cheesesteak was. A good cheesesteak sounds easy, but it isn’t most people get it completely wrong. This was a really great effort my friend really liked his salad crispy chicken. It was really delectable the french fries they nail them. Looks like they keep their menu simple do things well and price reasonably”
“Group of 8 was surprisingly sat quickly for a ~6pm dinner. However we did notice others waiting 20-30 minutes for a table during the rush. They were in process of changing menus so we had multiple hiccups when trying to order (no drink menu available, no wings available, bucket of food/potatoes only available for take out and not dine in). Outside of trying multiple potential menu options we did ultimately enjoy the meals. Wonderful fries! The party ordered kids cheeseburgers, Prime Rib, fish/shrimp, she-crab soup and others. A note for other larger parties, they do automatically add 20% gratuity to the bill. (Also note that the low country boil is only available for takeout.)Dietary restrictions: Only a handful of gluten free options but it worked out for the group.”
“Went to Fuji for the first time last week and I had Aliyah as my server. She was awesome! She was very quick even though she had several other tables. Attentive, very funny, and had great recommendations as well! Will come back again for her service.”
“This place was very neat. Very cool island environment. The breakfast was outstanding as well as the service. There are a couple of shops to buy clothes across the deck as well.”
“Cute little place with surprisingly good food. It really hit the spot after a morning of birding at Botany Bay. Cannot go wrong with the shrimp and grits! Very good service and a homey friendly style. Look forward to returning!”
“Mainly 5 stars because I came up here from the beach on my 30th birthday and they delivered with cold beer and the best Crispy Chicken Salad I’ve ever had. Crispy fried chicken, halved figs, candied pecans, hearts of palm, a delicious truffle dressing over some romaine. I mean good gawd almighty.”
“Pretty good meal. Loved sitting outside by the ocean course. Others in my group loved their meals (burgers, fish and chips, fried shrimp, kids menu stuff). My food was good but not great (French dip, bloody Mary). Overall, worth a stop when on Kiawah.”
“Great place.Great food.Great service. We really enjoyed our Mediterranean buckwheat galette and the creme brulee. Both were exceptional. Our server was very friendly and helpful.”
