“first time visiting here. Gelato was very creamy and light. ingredients seemed fresh. I got pistachio since so many positive reviews but I found a strange aftertaste. I would not order it again. also got almond biscoff which was very good with bits of candied pecans i believe! hubby tried stratchiatelli which was just ok , a little bland, did not taste a vanilla flavor IMO. I would go back to try other flavors. Gelato cookie sandwiches did look very good.“

Then, we passed by the John’s Island location on our way to Kiawah and decided to make the 25 min drive the next morning for our coffee and pop tart fix! Sun and Mon for now is till 5 pm. The bartender after 5 pm will make your specialty coffee drink and on a cold day that's just what everyone needs. Pastries are fresh and delicious too. There are many coffee shops and places that sell pastries, but there is nothing quite like this place. From the moment you walk in you feel the European vibe and warmth from the owner Amine. He truly takes care of his customers and most importantly he always looks out for the first responders in our community.

He is incredibly welcoming and genuinely goes above and beyond. When you walk in it feels like hugs, smiles, and a warm hello every time. That kind of hospitality is rare and it is something special.

If you want a croissant let me tell you it is absolutely to die for. It is the real deal. Even better when Amine says it himself because it sounds that much better with his accent.

Thank you for everything you do for the Isle of Palms community and for all the visitors who come through town. You treat everyone like family. Most importantly the way you treat the police officers and firefighters never goes unnoticed and it is truly appreciated.

The coffee is outstanding, the pastries are incredible, and if you happen to catch the evenings when he is open for dinner you are in for a real treat. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is quiet, quaint, and honestly one of the best kept secrets on Isle of Palms.

“Absolutely love it here the staff is always kind and welcoming. That said, they really need to get an air filter. The strong smell of smoke and grease makes it hard to stay inside for long or get any work done comfortably. It’s a great place otherwise, but the air quality definitely needs improvement.“

Gary and Kat's warm welcome and kindness were truly what made all the difference. “Best coffee in Charleston! It’s delicious, smooth and wakes you up! Many of the newer shops popping up have very bitter coffee. You can tell the coffee at cooper river is carefully sourced and the owner is very knowledgeable! When we go in, it’s one person making the drinks (owner?) and you can tell its quality over volume. 10/10 recommend!“

“My husband got the mint chocolate chip frappe and LOVED it! And he’s picky! I got the iced dirty chai tea latte with cold foam and I’ve had many before, and it was not great. Tasted like cinnamon watered down milk and didn’t get cold foam at all so wasn’t too thrilled given the price I paid for it.“

“If you are in the Charleston area and looking for a place that absolutely SLAPS, please go here. It was so good we went TWICE on our girls trip. I got lunch one day and brunch the next. So soooo good. I still dream about it. Alec (who I think was maybe the owner?? manager??) was SO kind. I just so happened to be there on my 30th birthday - which was also Bodega’s 2nd birthday. Alec brought over champagne, juices, and homemade treats (on the house!!) for us to celebrate. Seriously, so generous - we couldn’t stop talking about how nice it was. I can’t recommend this place enough - I wish I could give it 100 stars.“

While prices are not listed, it's basically the same you would pay at any other coffee shop, but you will have an amazing drink! It's absolutely worth stopping in! “My boyfriend and I stopped here after I told him DO NOT take me to Charleston and stop at a Starbucks! 😂 he was so glad I found this coffee shop, which was 4 mins away from the Starbucks. I believe he had one of the energy boosting drinks, which I had a sip of and it was amazing. I don’t even like those normally, but I would buy it on a hot afternoon. I had the Salty Cowboy. I was nervous ordering it hot, because it sounded better cold, but I prefer hot coffee 24/7. It was the best latte I’ve ever had. I’m in Charlotte, so I took note of the flavors to make it at home. I’m sure it won’t taste quite the same, but I NEED that latte every morning now!!!! I would’ve never thought of those flavors for a latte but wow, I’ll remember that one for years.

Also- I am a coffee lover, not a syrup lover. So if you’re worried this latte is too sickly, it is not. It was the perfect balance of coffee, sea salt, coconut and caramel. I also added a pinch of sea salt and cinnamon to the top of mine. I felt this latte was amazing, because the flavors went so well with the espresso. 13/10. I was talking about it all weekend!“

The spot’s cute and small with a nice beach view, but don’t expect too many places to sit. It's perfect for grabbing a quick coffee (definitely not a place to set up shop with your laptop).

They've got the usual Starbucks coffee at the same prices, but fewer food options.

Parking can be a pain around here, but if you're staying at the hotel, you're good to go.

“We loved our breakfast at Lost Dog Café in Folly Beach! I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of cheesy grits — both were absolutely delicious and comforting. The kids got the happy pancakes, which were a huge hit and so fun with the fruit face design. My wife had the traditional breakfast, and everything came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked.

The cozy, laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff made it such an enjoyable start to the day. Definitely a must-visit breakfast spot when you’re in Folly Beach!“
