“We adored this place! We accidentally found the downtown Charleston location during our stay there at a close AirBNB! We visited 3 times in our 2.5 days there. Then, we passed by the John’s Island location on our way to Kiawah and decided to make the 25 min drive the next morning for our coffee and pop tart fix! Great coffee, service, pastries, toasts and local drink and food finds!“

“We loved the coffee, great service, and cool merchandise we happen to discover as we walked around our hotel neighborhood and stumbled upon Bitty and Beau’s coffee shop.
I can’t wait to wear my new shirts at the beginning of the school year. It was a pleasure to talk about my hometown (Buffalo) and the Bills as we waited for our drinks. I’ve never heard of this shop before, but I am a huge fan of the coffee, the values, and the good vibes.“

“The açaí bowl is very good. I didn’t realize a bowl and coffee would be over $20. The bowl was $15. Maybe this is common here, I’m not from here - but that seemed pricey to me. I will say it is absolutely loaded to the brim with yummy good stuff.
The coffee is your basic espresso drinks. I was not deeply impressed with the coffee, size option (only one), or flavor options.
The vibe was alright, they sell cute merch and tshirts but it wasn’t overly friendly, or really very friendly at all.“

“Super cute store, very kind staff, and great treats! The seasonal menu is great and I love the banana bread latte. It’s great how they host events like book trades and candle making!! how cute?! a little bit pricy but i’m happy to support local small businesses when I can!!“

“My husband got the mint chocolate chip frappe and LOVED it! And he’s picky! I got the iced dirty chai tea latte with cold foam and I’ve had many before, and it was not great. Tasted like cinnamon watered down milk and didn’t get cold foam at all so wasn’t too thrilled given the price I paid for it.“

“Wanted to sample some new beans for home brewing-the owner recommended the Nicaraguan roast-and wow-a favorite already! Will be back to sample some other varieties and support local. Appreciate the laid back, homey vibe and the beans are quality-which is right up my alley.“

“I absolutely love this place. Unlike other places, they have plenty of seating, nice relaxing music that isn't so loud you can't hear your friends talk, friendly service, great coffee (and snacks, etc.). A great local business that I enthusiastically support!“

“What a great spot. We sat at the raw bar and had a fully curated experience led by Nick. He shucked his way through the various oyster options while giving us a description of all the varieties. Not only did he shock close to 300 oysters while we sat there but multitasked a thorough description of the options while we sipped on some of the best cocktails in town. The Bad John is something all patrons need to try. To chat with a Nova Scotian local who can talk up the best oysters in the Carolina’s was such a fresh surprise.11/10. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.“

“Just go here. Do it. The people that work here are so nice, the coffee is fresh and probably the best we had on our trip, and our kids destroyed the pastries (homemade pop tarts were a hit). 10/10 coming back next time we're in town.“

“A rarity among coffee shops! Good coffee and food but what sets it apart is the amazing space outside. More outdoor seating than any coffee shop I've seen and has a unique play area which makes this coffee shop great for families with kids! Sometimes you just want to unwind with a cup of food coffee while the kids run around this is the place.“
“Stopped by Waflin for a quick dessert and was blown away! Their menu of waffle and ice cream treats is impressive, and the hazelnut waffle I tried was pure perfection—warm, crispy waffle paired with creamy, cold ice cream. The presentation was top-notch, like a little edible masterpiece. Got a chance to chat with the team, and their pride in their Turkish roots and craft really shines through. Absolutely recommend!“

“My husband, Skip, and I popped a bottle of Dom Pérignon, for NYE, and I had two glasses... I do not usually go so wild. But, after my crazy night, I needed a little pick-me-up. I decided to try this new "Point Break." I went to the drive-through, and the most LOVELY and STUNNING young girl took my order. She said her name was "Mary Catherine." She was very sweet. She answered all my questions about the menu with ease. Clearly well-studied. I got a "Mochiatto", suggested by Miss Mary Catherine. It was delicious and was perfect to cure these New Year's Morning willies! LOL!! I will definitely be back to this establishment.“

“I love this coffee shop, they care about their beans a lot. My only wish is that they used local milk, you can’t beat that flavor. If they used local milk it would be my favorite in Charleston, however, even so, I continue to go back. The service is phenomenal and the people who work here are lovely. Oh and they also have the best quiche I’ve had in Charleston.“

“They are BUSY! Although we had a pretty long wait, the food was very good! Everyone in our party liked their bagels/breakfast sandwiches. Cute little place. I would return. I do wish it would’ve been less crowded, but they do good business!“

“Service and atmosphere is amazing, the pastries and coffee are always solid, the food can be hit or miss as its a bit on the sweet side sometimes could use spice or salt , and the quiche texturally has been a bit strange from time to time with the occasional charred cheese on top but never terrible.“

“You would think that paying 300$+ a nite would get you free coffee in the lobby, but alas not at the Tides. Heck I gotten free coffee for overnight guests for hundred less. So roasted, is a kind generic Starbucks on site. You can get your coffee or any type of special drinks, expect a line as 5-8 folks each morning was the norm. The staff ranged from very friendly to barely speaking, but its on site and coffee and limited snacks in the coffee/gift shop are available.“

“I visit Folly once a year so I'm sure this really does not really make a difference. My server ...young lady came to our table asking quickly what we would like. Ordered coffee...I asked from across our table of 4 may I have cream with a straight face no smile picked up the creamer and slapped it front of me. Here it is As if to say are you blind . Very rude. This year I didn't buy a tee shirt and If next year I stop for a meal but probably not.“
“We started buying coffee at Big Kick Coffee when our daughter lived in Charleston. Always stopped by the Market before leaving. Now we order online once a month. Best coffee ever!!“
“Without exception, The Employees are very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. It is evident that they were are well trained.I enjoy the selection of quality products with some of them specialty local products for my consumption or for gifts(ie confectionery products) as well as a good assortment of sugar free items. There are very few, if any, cafes that are open past 9 pm that serve a really good quality cup of coffee…open 24hrs with a complete menu of available options (ie. Regular/Dark Roast/ Cappuccino/ Espresso/Cold Brew and a generous variety of cold fountain drinks). This is aside from the grocery products)Lastly, my experience is the produce is always fresh and of good quality.Great concept & incredibly convenient.“

“I go to this place like 2-3 times or more a week. Che, one of the baristas (I think that's the right term...lol) is a jack of all trades, she is very well equipped to make everything on the menu and almost any other thing you ask. She is pleasant and willing to make customers exactly what they want. PJs is definitely on top of my list!“
