“This restaurant is a solid 5-star with Incredible food and attentive staff. It is a a local favorite but this traveler will return! Legit hand breaded chicken fried steak and real mashed potatoes were perfectly prepared. No prebreaded steak or boxed mix used in our meal. Complimentary bread before the meal from their in house bakery was tender and tasty as was their coconut cream pie with authentic flaky, home style crust with fresh whipped cream topping and rich filling. This will not disappoint!“

“We recently enjoyed a lovely dinner at Golden Bison Grille. Our fine pre-dinner drinks at the bar were attended by the friendly Ms. Tina. The Golden Bison meal was beyond delicious with melt in your mouth pork doused in an outstanding bourbon glaze and oh-so-tender steak bites, grilled asparagus and sweet herbed potatoes. Our friendly and efficient server, Roland, provided the perfect amount of attention and completed our experience with the most delicious Crème Brûlée! Restaurant Manager Josh stopped by to visit during our meal and was assured this, our special evening out, was indeed a memorable one!“

“The fish & chips are perfectly battered and a beautiful, golden color, the homemade tartar is really good!!! Very impressed with having malt vinegar available. Highly recommend the margaritas too.“

“My wife is Celiac. After having a burger with a GF bun she had absolutely no stomach issues. Could tell they go the extra steps to make sure there was no contamination or cross contamination. Would eat here again. Both her food and mine was one of the best if not the best burger from a fast food place we have ever had.“

“Our Host was also our Server. He sat us at a HUGE booth, which can fit 4-7 people (there were only 2 of us). The Drink Menu is extensive. Since we didn't know if we were expecting, I didn't take advantage of the Key Lime Pie Martini. Will more than likely be back to try this! Appetizer/Menu and pricing were as expected (on the higher end of things, but it was my Birthday, so it was ok). We got the Hot Crab Dip for an Appetizer. Could've used more bread. Husband got the Wild Boar Lasagna and I got the Coconut Curry Shrimp Bowl. All 3 Dishes were great! It got awkward after our Server took our empty plates, since it took him awhile to bring us our bill. We didn't know if we had to get up and pay, or if they thought we stayed at the hotel, to charge our room...Husband had to take out his wallet, and put on the table, to show we were ready for our bill.“

“We were in town for an event and stopped here for supper. I’m gluten and dairy free and the staff was helpful and my burger on the gluten free bun with the baked sweet potato was the best meal I have had at a restaurant since my dietary restrictions! Wholeheartedly recommend.“

“Would absolutely recommend Shipwrecks Bar & Grill! They have their own separate gluten free fryer. My 2 year old son with Celiac and other allergies was able to have walleye fingers with French fries and loved them! They even made it into a kids meal for him! The head chef was very knowledgeable about celiac and willing to talk with us! Wonderful experience all around!“

And add to that how commited they are to local and sustainable ingredients. Got my business forever!“

“My husband and I stayed at the Alex Johnson hotel and decided to eat here because it was raining out. Well, what a good choice we made. I had delicious fish and chips and a truly tasty fruity sour beer. Our server, Sal, was so friendly and attentive, constantly checking on us and asking if everything was good. Prices were extremely reasonable for a hotel restaurant. I recommend this restaurant.“

“Grizzly Primitive Campground delivered exactly what I was looking for, an offgrid, peaceful experience. I stayed at Plot 11, which is conveniently close to the creek. The constant, soothing sound of the water combined with the natural atmosphere made it incredibly relaxing and well worth the stay. Just a heads up it's cash only, so bring exactly $26 for the night. Simple, quiet, and exactly what you'd hope for in a primitive camping spot.“

“This is a great bar with a small town feel...ALL of the bartenders and local regulars are absolutely awesome!!...it's a great place to come to if you need a break from the kiddos, work, or just the daily stress of life!!...but keep in mind ..it's not a restaurant...it's a bar!!...it's not suited for rowdy kids....my wife and I drive from the far east side of Rapid to come here and enjoy ourselves on a regular basis...if your looking for a great drink at a fair price..served by great bartenders. We had the ribs, brisket, Mac & cheese, & the potato salad….mouth watering! If it was that good through delivery I can’t wait to taste what it’s like upfront! 10/10 we recommend! 🤍“

“Everything tasted great. The only thing I didn't like was the potato salad on the salad bar. Some kind of brownish thick dressing on it. I just figured they went heavy on the mustard but it didn't taste anything like mustard. I got the coconut fried shrimp platter. It was very good.“

“Our dinner service was excellent even though the store was extremely short staffed. Our waiter ran himself ragged trying to keep multiple sections on par. Given the circumstances, I believe he did an excellent job. It was why I left a more than generous tip. It was well deserved and something I don't really do very often. But he did a great job.
