“First, your billboards worked. I was looking for a steak dinner, saw your signs & went for it. We enjoyed our meals. My ribeye was good. (Lasagna was yummy & huge!) The service was friendly. The salad bar was fresh & offered a good variety. Tea was cold. The restaurant decor is nice, clean & comfortable. It was a great value, overall. if I lived close, I'd be a regular.“

“Some of the best sushi I've had. All of the meat fried rice is good. Miso soup is great.

I just tried the hot and sour soup. Sad to say it was very disappointing compared to their other dishes. It tasted like weak miso with soy sauce in it. It wasn't spicy at all.“

“I ordered a Stromboli and got a calzone instead with the wrong items on it. Didn’t realize until I was back to my hotel! The calzone was delicious anyway!

I really enjoyed the Italian sausage that is sliced. The red sauce was great and not too sweet! I will return, next time getting my Stromboli.“

“My nephew loves it so we came for lunch after church. I had Tacos de Carne Asada. My meat was a little bit over cooked but everything else was good. I think my SIL said they seemed down a waiter so service was a bit slow but not bad. They have a large menu so I will definitely come back next time I visit!!“

“I want to send a very special thank you the manager on duty this evening (04/22/23) and her staff. My keys were lost and when I tell you they were amazing in helping locate them after a hour of searching!!! They went through the trash, looked under the tables and even went to make sure my car was still outside. Customer service at its best! Guys thank you so very much. We are forever grateful!!“

“The last time we went here we were severely disappointed in both food and service, but this visit was a total change. The food was perfectly prepared… We had rotisserie chicken and trout. They even delayed one because it wasn’t perfect but explained. I can’t say what a huge improvement it was! Something changed and we look forward to returning“

“I had been looking up the # on Google to order a pizza here because where I live, we don’t have a Pizza Hut that will deliver and I was already across the street at Walmart, so google caused me to read a few reviews and I was reluctant to order after what I read, but I really was craving a PH pizza, so I figured I’d just go in and see what it was like. The lady at the counter was very friendly and even told us about a special so we got a whole extra pizza for just a few bucks more. “My 2.5 year old and I went into this location today after an appointment she had at a local hospital. We live over an hour away and I haven’t had Gus’s in over 2 years. I was so excited to come. The service is very friendly. The food of course is excellent and super fresh! It was raining before we left so I went into the restroom to get my daughter ready to leave. She made the comment that the “toilet was really nice.” which I chuckled so told the staff about it as we were heading out. One of the employees, Lucas, let my daughter hug him at her own will unpromted and gave her a small bear he had attached to his phone. It made her day! “Yes this is a shopping center that has the world famous Huey Burger, in Cordova Tennessee. Huey's has been around forever this is the second location. The owner of Huey's played drums in the box tops. Their Madison Burger is to die for. Bacon mushrooms lettuce tomato. The burger is so big I had to cut it and have just so I could eat it. I would suggest bringing your own water, a soda in here is 3.50 . I like the fact that you can see every single sporting event going on at the same time.“

“Visited the franchise location in downtown Austin, TX in November 2023 and the Marietta location in Georgia during the summer of 2023.After I read the story, I needed to visit the original location! As a culinary journalist, these are my favorite types of restaurants to document, I love a mom and pop generational establishment.It was a pleasure to meet the granddaughter of the original owners, Gus and Gertrude. She was pleasant and helpful in picking the perfect meal for our family.We went with the 8pc family meal - came with 2 breast, 2 wings. 2 thighs and 2 drumsticks with baked beans, cole slaw and fried green tomatoes.She forewarned us that the flavors are not the same as the franchise flavors. I was a bit scared as I highly enjoyed what I had in Austin. It was such a happy surprise that the chicken here was even better! The skin is much spicier, and the meat was just as juicy.The cole slaw was my favorite side, with the baked beans following and the fried green tomatoes coming in 3rd place.If you enjoy fried chicken, I would definitely recommend a stop at this tried and true TN state staple!
