“Recently my husband ate breakfast here after visiting dale hollow lake. The food is great and the service was even better! He left his driver's license there by accident and they even contacted us and worked with us to get it back to him. I will definitely be visiting this establishment again when we're in the area. Above and beyond customer service! 👍“

“We cook all of our burgers to the internal temperature of 165 degrees which is well done, but because we cook them on a smoker grill, they will still have a pink color, as smoking meats gives meat a pink color. I’m sorry you thought they were raw and threw them away. They were well done“

“It was a busy lunch time when we stopped by. But, we were sitted quickly and our server arrive shorty to get our drink order. Prices were excellent and our server was outstanding. Food was brought out quickly. Lots of food for lunch orders. Pleasant and fun experience.“

“I have followed this page for quite a few years though I live in Ohio. The Mayor of Putnam County Tn. made a mention in a post and I have hoped to give them a try. Other than cooking for myself (or my Grandma's cooking), this is hands down the best southern food I have had in years. The staff was very polite. I am only disappointed that they are so far from home.“
“Very happy with the service and food. My family and I had lunch there today and our server Tia was outstanding. She did her job with ease and a great sense of humor. Could not ask for better. The food was also top notch and very appreciative of how well made and tasty everything was. Highly recommend this place and will return if ever in Cookeville again!“

“Father Tom’s pub was awesome! What made our experience that much more enjoyable was our server Finn, it was his first night serving and you would’ve thought he’d been doing it forever! We will definitely be back, as the sign going out the door says, “Come as clients, leave as friends”“

“Paul and I had the best waitress her name is Tiffany. She made a couple suggestions on our menu options and we loved our meal. It was fantastic. I wish more waitresses were like her. Tiffany gave us a couple suggestions from our menu. I love watching her interact with another family at the table beside us. They had small children, She spoke to them with as much respect as she does any grown-up. We will ask for Tiffany the next time we come back“

“We managed to beat the Sunday church rush and got a great booth and server. Andrea was fast and attentive the whole time we were seated.
My wife ordered the filet with broccoli. I ordered the large filet with salmon add on and a loaded sweet potato.
All of our food was hot and delicious. Perfect visit today and great food. Thank you!“

“It was our first time to Spankies and I can say we will definitely go back. Our waiter Decklan was very personable and attentive! All the food was amazing. And the fried green tomatoes were the best I've had! My daughter had the fried chicken kabobs. The chicken was very juicy. It was a great find with no wait. Decklan was the best waiter we've had in awhile.

“When I heard about them using tallow, I had to try it out for the first time. Since then, they are my default quick stop for clean food in Cookeville. Burgers are great, fry's are great. Service is wonderful. Never had a problem with any order.“

My only complaint is about the TINY swivel-seat barstools.
We had a party of 4 and wanted to sit at the bar.
As soon as we sat down, we all looked at each other and said, “Uhhh, let’s get a table instead.”
We are average size people but these bar stool seats literally look like they’re made for children.
Very uncomfortable. I guarantee the bartenders must be losing out on lots of tips just because the barstools deter people from sitting at the actual bar.
I’ll be back (just not at the bar until they replace those barstools). #easyfix“

“Sat at the bar. Service was fantastic. Chicken got over cooked 1st time and they remade it quickly. 2 time was better but still not 100%. Manager took care of meal without even asking. Very polite and courteous. Definitely will go again when in the area“

“I just moved here from ohio and searched burgers on the map. Never heard of this place so gave it a shot and honestly was shocked with the price and how good the food was. I got the house burger and loved it. The staff seemed pretty friendly too“
