“I think I may have had the pleasure of meeting Mindy B herself - and her mama! I felt so welcome here. The kitchen was a little backed up when I placed my order, but I didn’t have to wait in a line, just a tick for my order. Anyone I spoke with in the restaurant was just like talking with family. You can tell these folks work very hard and take pride in this place. I got my food to go (not because of the wait, just because of preference) and when I got back to my hotel, I was shocked at how large the portions were, especially for the price!! I had ordered the vegan wrap with a side salad and I had two meals out of it. That hardly ever happens with vegetarian or vegan food!!! The only thing that kept me coming back was the lack of time in Chattanooga. The food was delicious and fresh! If I ever find myself back in Chattanooga, I WILL be back!!! “My family has been coming here for decades and I went to school and church with several Ankars at OLPH and NDHS. I went to the Brainerd location today (my favorite). Unfortunately today’s experience was not great (but there’s no way I’m giving an “I do not recommend”). We ordered 3 hoagies. The bread usually comes out warm and soft (and we usually buy a bag to take back to Oklahoma with us). Today’s bread was not warm, chewy, and a bit tough. The onion rings were cooked unevenly with one basket being very light in color and the other 2 being much darker. Idk how many Ankars work at this location, but I did not see anyone. I hope the legacy is not coming to a close. I still wanted to get a t-shirt before leaving. The girl at the counter was confused by my request and got someone else who had to get a 3rd person to locate the shirts. The size he brought out was M and I wanted L. Had to wait while he checked and there were no Ls. This took about 7 minutes from start to finish. No apologies or offers to order one. I’ll be back to Ankar’s next time I’m in town. Just not this location. I hope that things improve there. Ankar’s was a gem not too long ago and it would be a shame to lose this Chattanooga landmark.“

“This place is one of the go-to places for sandwiches. Me and my coworkers ordered 8 sandwiches and they were all super tasty. I got the turkey sandwich in a wrap. All the ingredients were super fresh. It is a mom-and-pop shop and everyone who works was very nice. I wish they had an online menu, because I got confused with the menu from other locations.“

“Came in with my wife after a hike. The staff here is awesome. Greeted us as we came in, made small talk and gave us suggestions. Almost talked us into buying the condiments (next time lol). Split a giant #13 on rosemary parm, which was fantastic. Will be back again 😄“

“I needed some items in WalMart early in the morning and wanted some breakfast. I had not considered a Subway before, and ruled out McDonalds as they don't have turkey bacon or sausage with their egg breakfast. I was there over an hour before the Subway in the store opened, but the worker was getting set up. She graciously invited me in and fixed my 6" chicken teriyaki sub! Service above and beyond.“

“I'm being completely serious when I write this. Erica is probably the best Subway employee I have ever met. Period. I have never seen someone put so much care into making a sandwich. I was perfect. And Erica was so sweet and professional. I would recommend this Subway to anyone. I've met a few other employees there as well and they are all great. Whoever does the hiring for this store is incredible.“

“I used to work at Subway. I am somewhat specific as to how I prefer to have my Subway sandwiches prepared. I was happy that the employees at this Subway were able to follow my requests and make it the same way I would have done myself. This has not always been the case at other locations. They were also fast and friendly. I was somewhat surprised when they asked my partner if he was (eligible for a senior discount) over 62 years old, but we shared a good laugh about it when we arrived back home, so it was certainly not a big deal. The bread was just a little dry, and the tomatoes could have been fresher, but I don't expect anything different from Subway. The food was still good and I enjoyed it very much.“

“If there is a manager to brag on, it would be Tasha! She was working by herself, but she still took the time to greet my son and me as we walked in. She let us know it would be a moment, and despite being the only one on staff, she was incredibly patient and took her time with us.

Not only was her service great, but I also noticed the restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. As Tasha finished the orders before ours, she gave us her full attention, asked about our day, and even asked for our names. She talked directly to my son and really listened to his order.

Tasha is nothing short of amazing! Overall, we had a great dinner and experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and our subs.“
