“To be honest, I lived in Texas for a few years and my hopes for Memphis Mexican restaurants were not high. However, I’m pregnant and I was craving authentic Mexican food really bad. I looked at photos of every Mexican restaurant in Memphis to try to find the one that looked like the most authentic atmosphere and I landed on El Mezcal. We showed up on Saturday night at 7pm and were seated immediately. The second we were seated, they already brought us chips and salsa and were asking for our drink orders. We unfortunately didn’t catch our server’s name, but it was her first day and she was absolutely on top of it. We ordered nachos with chicken, Burritos Azteca, and Fajitas. I don’t remember the type of fajitas, but it had chicken, shrimp, steak, and cactus on it. All the food was absolutely phenomenal, large portions, and by far worth the cost, which was only right under $60. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, definitely the best experience I ever could have hoped for. Thank you!“

“After traveling and enjoying fine Italian food I came back to Memphis with a craving of gnocchi.. quick google search brought me here !! And I’m so glad it did !! The fried green tomatoes and cornbread were delicious apps to start off !! A few mixed drinks and a glass of wine soothed the mood . The Gnocchi did not disappoint and the “ blue crab “ spaghetti was a pleasant surprise!! But the desert!!! The CHOCOLATE STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING ….Let me be clear … BEST DESERT IN ALL MY TRAVELS !! “The atmosphere was typical black people and fried food vibes! It was wholesome and felt like a cook out or party with the dj booth right behind us. It was 10 of us, we went to celebrate a cousin's anniversary! Our server was straight, not sure if it was just her demeanor but if it was she should probably work in the back. She wasn't mean or rude just lacked enthusiasm. I got the French toast, breakfast potatoes, eggs, and turkey sausage. My good was really good, the only thing about the French toast is that the strawberries weren't fresh. Other than that I cleaned my plate! Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks! We had a good time, we always do going out together!“

“My family and I went in and were somewhat apprehensive after the last restaurant we went to. However as soon as we walked in the staff was incredibly friendly. The place was clean and had a fun atmosphere where you could either listen to music, watch tv, or simply talk to the people you came with. The food portions were huge. It was so good. Our waiter was on top of everything. Overall I definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants great food!“

So on door dash for some reason the merry prankster isn't and option (not the stores fault it is what it is) but it's my absolute favorite so I decided to call the store and ask if they could help me out in ordering something similar and making it a merry prankster they went above and beyond with my request wrote a note to the pizza makers and made it happen for me. Super ecstatic to have a great crew to help me! 5 stars absolutely earned and deserved! “The services weren't bad, typical chili's bar like environment. I was a bit taken back by what was described as Nachos that I ordered. The menu described chips,black beans, tomato,ground beef sour cream and cheese but what I received was chips with cheese baked on it, no beans or ground beef, or sour cream, it did have jalapeños and did not look or taste like classic nachos. The other items we ordered were great. The chicken and shrimp fajitas were great and the party platter with crispers, egg rolls and sliders tasted very good, the honey chipotle sauce is an absolutely delicious flavor.“
