“We used to go to the one in Ooltewah, it was our go to place when we was out of ideas, or we wanted cheap food quality Mexican food. This was our first time at the one in East Ridge and it didn't disappoint! The food was the same super quality as we know it from Ooltewah and the service was the same great service. “Oh. My. Goodness. I have had several favorite Mexican restaurants in the Chattanooga area, from La Bamba to El Fogon...but there's very little chance that any place would displace my newest and "bestest" favorite, Spanglish (previously Las Morelianas). I went there yesterday with three friends, we all had completely different dishes, and we were all 100% completely satisfied. Although the tastes of each dish (we all had a bite of each other's) were all perfectly appreciated by all, the big kicker for me was that the manager came around, after my other three friends had been served their entrees, and explained that he was sorry that mine was delayed, but that it had come out of the kitchen on time, but he was not pleased with the way it looked, so he sent it back and had it remade. THAT is customer service, and THAT is what makes a restaurant a cut above the rest. I am sorry that I can't remember our lovely waitress's name, but her attention to our need (including refilling our drinks before we even asked) was top notch. I can't say enough good things about this place; everything was not only a cut above the rest, it was all simply perfection, and all four of us agreed on that. Eat Here! You won't ever regret it.“

“Food is so good, and feel clean. We had fajitas and burritos, side with guacamole. The salsas and hot sauces are very good, good services. The beef in the fajitas are juice not dry or chewy at all, and not oily, we are happy with the meal. Hope more people know them and give them more support keep them open in the neighborhood.“

“My sons and I came here in pursuit of Mexican food as good as what we ate when we lived in Austin, TX. It was amazing! My boys absolutely loved their beans and rice! The tortillas on their bean burritos were tender and slightly crispy on the outside. Their sauces were incredible! I had three tacos, all of which contained beautifully complex and incredible flavors. We highly recommend!“

“I never write reviews, but I am so enamored by El Jinete that I’m making an exception! I highly recommend this restaurant, which is in the old O’Charley’s on Hixson Pike. I might not call it authentic Mexican food, per se, but the quality is amazing! Their health department cleanliness scores were 100, the AC was rocking, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I am a margarita snob, and theirs are very good. My husband is a tough audience, but he was happy with the fajitas. My kids (being kids) were thrilled with the queso. I’m also a tortilla chip snob, and theirs are very good. Personally, I’m in LOVE with the Hawaiian burrito (again, not fully authentic, but that’s what I like about it: a good mix of traditional and new takes on old favorites). They are not stingy with the meat (steak, chicken, and shrimp), and the shrimp isn’t the gross kind with the veins still included. The presentation is also lovely — I wish I could include a picture with this review, but it is clear they take great pride in their establishment, their food, and taking care of their guests. My family has been twice now, so I feel I can confidently say our experiences were not just a fluke and this is a consistently solid addition to the Chattanooga restaurant scape. Again, highly recommend!“

“After seeing huge burritos, I ordered a chimichanga (thinking it’d also be big)… when it was brought out I had to question if I accidentally ordered a “mini chimi”—nope. Although small, it *was* tasty and I enjoyed my meal.
We asked for the “hot” salsa and chose the red one (green was also an option). It was better than the one they normally bring to the table, but it was $2 added to the bill for that small bowl.
Everything was good, though.“

“First time here. Tried a grilled burrito and a cheese pizza to compare Mexican and Italian offerings. Both were first rate. Burrito ingredients fresh and tasty. Pizza rivaled the best I've had in Chattanooga. Nice portion size too. Highly recommend if you're not looking for fancy, but rather comfortable and yummy. :)“

“This restaurant was a perfect pick!!!!Eating here is one of the best decisions me and my family have made when dining out. The moment we walked in we were immediately treated like family members or regular customers. The staff were friendly, professional and kept smiles on their faces. Normally this never happens or it's temporary and ends once you place your order, but not with these wonderful people. Upon ordering we were unable to decide what to choose due to the wide array of visually appealing options. We eventually picked a few dishes to take home and then the food to eat at Taqueria y Fonda la Bonita. I was prepared to pay a pretty penny for good food but that wasn't the case. Our total was way less then we expected and they insisted on making the take home orders when we were about to leave (a 15 minute heads up is all they wanted from us). We loved the food presentation and the attentiveness of the employees, but we quickly became infatuated with how good the food actually was. For the first time in what seems like forever, no one touched their phones or said a word☺️. My kids literally cleaned their plates and begged to come back tomorrow. Be sure to put this business on your list of restaurants to visit.“

“Ok Comprehensive breakdown time.
Food: really good for being a fast delivery. I couldn't tell if it was terrible quality (canned, frozen) but i enjoyed what I got so.. My wife didn't care for hers but that falls mostly on the service because she didnt get what she ordered. Segway to.. SERVICE: I dont want to fault our waitress too much because I am a human being. The table next to us was a young man our waitress was... really smitten with and they talked a lot. She did apologize for that but again.. who can blame her haha. She was attentive to our needs and took care of our questions and extra requests beyond our order. Atmosphere: really the only thing going for this place is the view. Feels rinkydink but was functional.“
