“The East Nashville location is the heart of the operation and part of its charm. The space feels rustic and lived-in, the kind of place where the food—and the people—are the real stars. The service is consistently friendly and genuinely fantastic, adding to the relaxed, neighborhood feel that visitors love. If you’re able, Connie and I strongly recommend finding a seat at the bar and ordering from there. It’s the best way to settle in and soak in the experience and enjoy the hospitality up close.
When it comes to the food, Mas Tacos Por Favor punches far above its weight. The carne molina taco is, without question, the best taco I’ve had anywhere—rich, deeply flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The soups are equally impressive, slow-simmered and packed with comforting depth, and the black beans are outstanding, the kind of side dish you’ll keep thinking about long after the meal. Nothing here feels like an afterthought.“

“My wife visited here about 6 months ago and got coffee on her way to the airport and hasn’t stopped talking about it since. We’re here for New Years and she made sure we came by. I got an iced white mocha, which is better than anyone I’ve ever had anywhere else and we also shared a Biscoff cheesecake which was absolutely incredible. The staff is super friendly and the coffee is amazing, you can’t go wrong if you come check this place out.“

“This has recently become one of my favorite plant based spots in Nashville after trying them at Hunters Station last weekend, then having my boyfriend go back later that night and the next day to grab us food. The fish sandwich tastes exactly like fish and the cheesy potatoes compliment it to well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they open up on a more consistent basis but for now I’m ok with stalking their insta page to see where their going to be. 10/10“

The restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting, with friendly staff who welcome you with a smile. The service is prompt, and the food always arrives hot and fresh. The menu is detailed in English, making it easy to understand, and there is no confusion when it comes to choosing what to order. What makes Edessa Restaurant stand out is the presentation of their food, which is nothing short of jaw-dropping. Each dish is beautifully plated, and the flavors are expertly balanced. The cleanliness of the restaurant is also noteworthy, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic dining experience. In my recent visits, our server Hanan was exceptional. Her name in Arabic means "Tenderness with compassion and affection," and she truly lived up to her name by providing prompt and attentive service with a smile. “This place is the golden time capsule that Nashville always needs. You couldn't convince me my grandmother (God rest her southern soul) didn't go back there and make my biscuits and gravy.
The food is classic, old-school Southern good-eats. Doesn't get any better or simpler. I got the full Ultimate breakfast platter, and let me tell you that you'd better be famished 🤣. It's so much food for $15, I fought with it for about 45 minutes but lost in the end to it's gargantuan size.
The staff is above-and-beyond charming, experienced, and overall what's missing from modern customer service post-COVID. If you haven't been here, stop what you're doing and go.

“Stopped by on our way through town and it was a nice breakfast. We ordered an everything and a blueberry both with vegan schmear and toppings - the vegan sausage was surprisingly delicious. The sea salt on top of the everything was a nice touch and the blueberry was excellent. The upcharge for non-dairy milk is to be expected but $1 felt a bit much. Good food though and if we're ever in Nashville again we'll probably stop back in. Not giving 5 stars just because environment was a bit strange - the back of house staff seemed to be having a fun time in the kitchen but the front of house seemed cold.“

“As if the White Chocolate Vanilla Frappe wasn't enough, the atmosphere is pretty awesome and actually reminds me of my days in Seattle. A plethora of choices await you from the drinks to the pastries and the entrees, which I'm looking forward to trying. To top it all off, Keith is about as mellow and nice a person as can be, which makes going there an even more pleasurable experience. Take the time to get out to Donelson and find this gem, you will NOT regret it.“

“This was my wife's idea. I know, shocking that a wife can decide where to eat. LOL It was an excellent choice. We ate way more that we needed, but wanted to try multiple things on the menu. This ain't exactly what we usually eat, and wanted to hone in on what we order for future visits. I'll just get the beef soup next time, but with extra beef. It was delicious. My wife will get a steamed bun and we'll share seared pork and cabbage dumplings.“
