“Eddie V’s Prime Seafood is one of the most respectable upscale restaurants in the city, and the food lives up to the hype! As their name implies, their seafood is fantastic, probably the best in the entire city! They have a policy that every seafood served at Eddie V’s was alive in the ocean less than 36 hours prior! Anything left over is donated, which is impressive! And you can taste its incredible freshness throughout the meal! There are only 30 locations of Eddie V’s in 15 states, but the quality is hardly reminiscent of chain restaurant food. It’s truly exquisite! And we have very high standard having dined at Michelin-starred eateries all over the world.

The scallops, lobster, and lobster bisque are easily the best in Nashville, and we’ve dined at every high-class restaurant Music City has to offer! The butter poached lobster mashed potatoes are incredible, extra creamy topped with buttery lobster and a beurre blanc sauce. The truffle mac is equally stupendous, with a three-cheese blend, truffle oil, and thinly shaved truffles imported from France! While most upscale restaurants tend to make a very strong truffle mac that has overpowering flavors, the chef at Eddie V’s manages to make this, and all dishes, subtle and flavorful without overdoing it.

Just as amazing as the seafood are the steaks. Since they had a Japanese A5 Wagyu in the building at $40 an ounce, something they don’t have every night, I took advantage of that! As expected, the highest grade of Japanese beef did not disappoint, and the chef prepared it to perfection. That impossibly tender steak seasoned beautifully just meted in my mouth, probably the second best steak I’ve eaten in Nashville! The ponzu sauce, one of three that accompanied the steak, was delicious. The Korean inspired gochujang was also good, but maybe not perfect for this style of steak. But the wasabi paste was the winner, a perfect compliment to the beef without being very spicy, just wonderfully flavorful. Like all dishes here, they’ve impeccably balanced flavor with subtly! The desserts aren’t bad either, but they pale in comparison to the beef, seafood, and side dishes!“

“Today was the first I’ve even heard about this. I was leary about it at first with the parking being terrible. But my wife really wanted to try it. So valet we went. The young man that parked my Jeep was so nice and professional. But back to the restaurant. I was 100% impressed with just a burger that we are looking forward to coming back and having a real dinner. Hands down worth the time and energy. “I stayed at the hotel for several days and had the privilege of enjoying the complimentary breakfast each morning. I took full advantage of it, and to my surprise, every meal was excellent.

On the first day, I had the steak and eggs, which exceeded my expectations and was absolutely delicious. The next morning, I tried the bagel and lox sandwich, which was fantastic. On the third day, I went with the traditional Southern breakfast, and it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The grits were outstanding, and the sourdough bread was excellent as well.

The only downside was the service on the first day. Our waiter seemed distracted and not particularly attentive. We had to ask other staff members several times for coffee and a few other items. I think the hotel and restaurant should either provide additional training or ensure their waitstaff are better prepared, because the food and overall dining experience are truly excellent, and poor service can easily take away from that.

One additional recommendation: if you’re a coffee lover, check out the attached coffee shop. I found the coffee there to be much better than what was served in the restaurant, and it seemed like they may be using a different blend.

Overall, the food was outstanding, and despite the service issue on the first day, I would definitely recommend dining here“

“Amazing lobster grilled cheese sandwich. They give you a lot of lobster so you definitely get what you pay for. Serving with their “crab” chips is a nice touch to the meal. I’ll be going back to try their “Connecticut” (my birth state); on another day while I’m here in town. Only downside in my opinion is the crowded atmosphere. It can get very busy in this location and I’m not a fan of crowds. Aside from that the food is great. Worth a try if you’re in the area.“

“This place is a gem that has been operating here forever!! The best authentic Thai food in Nashville. The space is in a house and can be a bit tight and crowded, but I think it is one of the charms of old place that has been around for so long. You can see the owner likes plants, there are lot of hanging plants and pots all around which add charms and personal touch to the experience. Their Pad Thai is very tasty but it could be less sweet. The flavor is bold and tastes very authentic. I usually get the one with green bean noodles which has nice texture and tastier. We love their bao buns and dumplings, too. Their sticky mango dessert is one of the best I have ever tasted!“

“Loved the fish and aquarium. Looked clean and nice variety. They had info on the fish that were inside and encouraged you to get up and walk around to see them.
Our group ordered some steaks - which they said were very good. The ravioli was good as well. My order was messed up 2x and didn't feel like there was anything to apologize or take some off the bill since I didn't get my meal until everyone had nearly finished theirs.
The staff was polite but didn't see much of them towards the end.“

“I had gone to try a cheesecake and I was happy that I did so. I had the oreo cookie flavored cheesecake. It was good! I had water with it. Glad that I did. Go and look at all the cheesecakes that is just inside the front of the restaurant. They have a bar area and from the looks of the menu I wished that I didn't have a big lunch before I went to the restaurant. You can get a slice of cheesecake and have enough room for that rich goodness! The restaurant does have restrooms that does have a handicapped place to use the bathroom. In the front is a place to load and unload a wheelchair if you need to do so. Just go and try this restaurant!“

“I went to a Daou vineyards wine class last night. The food and wine were amazing. Their house bubbly is fantastic! The staff did an excellent job making sure everyone was comfortable and had a good time. The chef and owner came to check on us numerous times. I highly recommend this place. “We were in town for vacation and stopped for lunch on a Friday. The crowd was great and so was the music. Our lunch was good and so were our drinks. It was however, a bit pricey. But everything is expensive in downtown Nashville. Our service was a bit slow but that wouldn't stop me from coming back. The rooftop was a fun place to hang out with our kids after lunch and have a drink and listen to music.“

“For some reason, Captain D’s gets a bad rap for “expensive frozen fish sticks.” Say the same people who willing pay $20-25 per person for McDonald’s or the like.
