“We had the best time doing the “Wine Trail” in Gatlinburg/Sevierville, Tennessee. We had the perfect host, Dani (I hope I spelled your name right). She was extremely helpful with her knowledge of wine and ciders and she was very hospitable and kind. We had so much fun and the wine and cider was absolutely amazing. It was so good that we ended up bringing home twelve bottles. I recommend starting with or ending with ”Tennessee Homemade Wines” in the Tanger Outlet Mall in Sevierville, Tennessee because you can buy all the cider & wine in one location and you get several things free if you buy everything all at one time. You can get free glasses, wines, ciders and t-shirts depending on what you purchase. It is definitely worth it. Also, you can’t beat Dani as your host, you will love her.“

The two gentlemen that run the place are upstanding, and so very friendly. The food is 100% made to order, hot, and made of the freshest ingredients. “One great thing is the location, quietly off the horrid tourist strip. We needed a place that allowed dogs on the patio, and was open a bit late. The staff was very accommodating and I thought the chicken fried steak and green beans were excellent, the collards quite good too. They ply you with apple fritters before the meal and their apple fruit juice. It is a huge meal... Check the family style menu, entree plus three sides plus soup and the fritters AND dessert.“

“The vibe and atmosphere here are everything. Wow, this place really blew me away.

To begin, the manager seemed very hands-on, even helping the staff clear and set up a table for us. They also accommodated our request to sit by the window for the beautiful view, despite that area being shut down for the rest of the night, which I really appreciated. The entire staff was more than happy to accommodate anything we needed and was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Everything about this place just makes you feel at home.

And then you get to the food—and dang, it’s good. Just really solid homestyle cooking that’s plated and presented well. The portion sizes are generous for what you’re paying too, so you definitely feel like you’re getting your money’s worth.

They start you off with a complimentary vegetable soup, which was SO good, and I’m someone who would normally never spring for vegetable soup. I will say that some of the sides were lacking just slightly in flavor, but genuinely, a smidge of salt from the table got them right. The textures were more than acceptable too. For example, the mac and cheese was very cheesy, while the noodles were cooked well and still al dente.

And don’t even get me started on the rolls. They’re like a combination between bread and a biscuit, and I could come back just to eat a dozen of those.

I ordered the meatloaf, and the sauce was literally perfect. The texture and the ratio of everything in the meatloaf were truly an experience, especially considering meatloaf is my favorite dish. They absolutely did it justice.

Between the atmosphere, the hospitality, the view, the value, and the homestyle food, this place is definitely a must-try and absolutely worth the visit.“

I didn't catch her name, but she was incredibly sweet, friendly, and truly made my morning. I'm originally from Arizona as well, but now live in Clearwater, FL (where, sadly, there's no Dutch Bros), so this visit was extra special. She went above and beyond by comping my drink, giving me stickers, and making me feel genuinely appreciated as a Dutch Bros customer. She is the BEST… despite attending my rival college! 😂💙💚🩵“

“I went on vacation and forgot to order my daughter’s birthday cake ahead of time. The day before her birthday, I stopped at Baskin-Robbins, but unfortunately, the cakes were already pre-made and they couldn’t add the “Happy Birthday” message. The staff was so polite and helpful and even directed me to a Dairy Queen about 15 minutes away.
When we got to Dairy Queen, my daughter found an Oreo cake she absolutely loved, so that was already a win! Then she asked, “Dad, can I get Happy Birthday on it?” I asked the young lady at the counter, and she explained that the decorator had already left for the day, but she offered to give us something we could use to write on the cake ourselves. I completely understood since it was after 6:30 PM, and I appreciated her kindness.
Then, sitting in a booth nearby, was Ms. Tamara. I had no idea she worked there. She asked what my daughter wanted written on the cake. My daughter said, “Happy Birthday” and her name. Ms. Tamara simply said, “I’ll do it.”
The cashier even asked her, “Do you know how to do it?” Ms. Tamara just looked at her and smiled. 😂
When the cake came back, it was PERFECT! It was exactly what my daughter wanted and perfect for a preteen. ❤
Sometimes it’s the simplest acts of kindness that create the best memories. Ms. Tamara didn’t have to do that, but she chose to. As a nurse, I know firsthand that sometimes helping someone doesn’t have to be something huge it’s about showing kindness when you have the opportunity.
Ms. Tamara, you truly saved the day for us. You helped make my daughter’s birthday special, and I appreciate you more than you know.
