“Our family had a great time visiting English Mountain Trout Farm last weekend. The outdoor space around the trout farm was pretty and had shady spots for us to avoid the hot sun while we fished. The staff were friendly and helpful and ensured we all got a great catch! It was great for adults and kids. All of us enjoyed our time and we plan to come back! We all got the blackened trout and it was delicious. Worth the price for the experience and a tasty lunch. Seating was comfortable and it was a nice place (off the beaten path) to spend a couple of hours. Parking spaces are limited, so come early during busy seasons!“

“We ordered the chicken cordon bleu and the country fried steak. We chose fried okra, stuffing, and mashed potatoes for sides.
The meal came with 4 apple fritters as appetizers, with apple butter on the side. They were fabulous! Best part of the meal. They also brought us out complementary apple juleps, which were okay, but were watered down from the ice served with them.
Our waitress was very friendly and gave exceptional service.
My cordon bleu was served in large proportion and was very delicious. My husband remarked that his country fried steak was good, but not as good as he has had before. The mashed potatoes were exceptional, but the dressing was pretty bland and the okra, although it was crispy, didn’t have much flavor.
The sides were “all you can eat”, so you wouldn’t leave hungry!
There was a complimentary dessert at the end of the meal. I ordered apple cobbler and my husband got the spiced apple cake. Both were small portions and did not mirror the exceptional taste of the cobbler that was served at the Apple Valley Creamery down the way…. My husband said the cake was “okay”. You definitely get a lot of food, but the taste is really only 4 out of 5 stars.“

You simply cannot start your meal without trying their signature items. The apple fritters are absolutely perfect—light, fluffy, and dusted with just the right amount of sweetness. And when you pair them with their homemade apple butter, it's heaven on a plate. It’s the kind of starter that makes you want to buy a jar of everything to take home!
For the main course, the country fried steak is the best I've ever had, hands down. It’s cooked perfectly, tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, and smothered in a delicious gravy. It is true, hearty Southern cooking at its finest.
The service is friendly, the setting is quaint, and the food is unforgettable. Make sure to visit The Apple Barn—you won't regret eating here!“

“Gorgeous modern farmhouse setting. Lots of seating and bright light shining in. Located right next to SkyLand Ranch on Pigeon Forge’s main parkway. Portions are ginormous. Loved everything including the biscuits and hearty griddle cakes. Little bit of something for everyone!“

“OMG. we shared a sampler platter. For starters we were served a cast iron pan of cornbread with butter The sampler platter had meatloaf , pulled pork, greens and mashed potatoes. it came with a bowl of Brunswick stew and a side bowl of pinto beans. It was amazing. So much food for the value. We both left stuffed. The server was friendly and very attentive. I would highly recommend this stop while in DW. you won't be disappointed.“

“This place is INCREDIBLE! First, you see it from the outside & can't help but fall in love with the adorable chickens on the roof, even if you're just driving by! Then, you go inside & fall in love with the cleverly-named chickens (Dolly Part-hen, Hennifer Aniston, Princess Layer, Hen Solo, Elvis Pres-lay, Kelly Cluckson, etc.) perched all around the walls of the dining area! You order some yummy food & get regularly serenaded by the chickens! I'm not a fried chicken (or fried anything) person & I'm particularly not much of a chicken tender person (they tend to taste good, then nauseate me), but I ordered the chicken & waffles, which is 3 large tenders on a large waffle, & WOW! Absolutely incredible! My mom & I got the cutest matching t-shirts here (They have each design in multiple colors.) & last time, I got the sweetest stuffed animal of one of their chicken mascots! Whether you're buying food, tees, or toys, the prices are way cheaper than at most other attractions! I highly recommend!“

“Food was excellent as well as the customer service. It would have rated a 5 star overall except the bathroom has an odd setup. It was clean and stocked, but was a little odd in the layout and took a minute. The steak and potatoes on the other hand were perfect. Cooked to exactly medium rare, seasoned just right, and the baked potato was just right too. Also, the spinach dip was one of the best I e ever had.“
