“Burger Chan was 5 stars all the way. I saw they did a Vietnamese coffee milkshake....yes please! Had them bring it out with my meal, very very good. My burger consisted of 3 two ounce patties with pepperjack cheese, a fried egg and charred jalapenos. This burger was tasty and juicy, had a hint of char on the edges...yum. As usual we sampled each others food. My wife got a five ounce burger patty with no bun with cheddar cheese, seared spam, sauteed onions and sliced avocado, very tasty. She added some fried cheese curds, they hit the ever widening spot, some of the best i've ever had. We will be back for more goodies.“

The speed of order taking was fast.. by the time we chose our drinks ,found a table to sit and take in everything our order was called .. Presentation was get . The H was perfect . “Were interensted in this place and came to check it out on Saturday. Got double burgers and fries. Burgers were tasty and liked the Bodega sauce. As for the "screwed fries," thought the additional charge on the price was for the toppings; turns out they were much bigger portion than the regular fries, and they were good (took the regular fries home). Deco is fun as the products with recognizable brand looks "rebranded" with the store or Houston local markings/logos. No parking was available in the lot behind the restaurant but we were able to park in an additional gravel lot they have around the corner. Noticed that they sell Pudgy's Cookies. Nice local place.“

“Hear me out! This burger spot is top tier. There needs to be 10 stars available to rate this place because they delivered a quality burger and it was stacked! As an LA native home of the best burger joints on the west coast. Argue with your mama not me! Champ Burger takes the lead of the closest thing to home. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and loaded. I got the champ burger with cheese, bacon, grilled onions, jalapeños, tomatoes and lettuce. No need for a double patty, this is not your in n out size burger the one patty will do just fine. I thought my cousin was exaggerating after the first bite until I tried mine and she wasn't. It was the real deal! All I'm going to say is if you are in second ward stop by and give champ burger a try. Not only is their food good but the prices are great, give good portions and the staff are nice. “My first time here and “Jade” left a good first impression for my family and I. Jade was a great server and her service made us feel at home and comfortable. Love we got to try their waffle garlic chips as first timers. They had clean and mellow and calming atmosphere with good music at a comfortable low setting. We tried the chilaquiles and they were so good. *Please note a chilaquiles plate can feed 2 people. Great food and great amount of food. They are pet friendly as long as you eat on patio. Will definitely recommend and great job JADE we will be back for sure!!“

“Esperanza was super nice and friendly throughout the visit, totally lit our faces when she offered us some of the Burger King paper hats. Burger King’s food has never disappointed for its fast food quality but Esperanza definitely made the experience memorable enough for me to want to go more often if that’s what their service looks like! “The theme goes so well with the food and atmosphere. It has the appearance of one of those neon light car diners with a clean minimalist feel.I ordered the patty melt with everything. From the perfectly toasted buttery bread , the smash burger style patties , and the special Smack sauced blendig with the melted cheese..... ?. It was quite delicious, definitely going back for more. The parmesan fries were good too with their ranch sauce. Nice and crispy.The last thing is the lady working there named Miriam( The sista behind the counter with the blue glasses). She gave over the top customer service. She took the oder and went to the back to prep, then served it. She also made sure we were comfortable and even asked if everything was to my parties liking. I'd recommend this place especially if your a fan of smash burgers. Tips are welcome too .“

The crust on these pizzas was Amazing due to the crispness of the crust. The lack of a finale with a stoke of butter, a hit of EVOO, and Fresh garlic was disappointing and barely there sauce with lack of proportional pepperoni piecs per slice...come on. In other words, the crust needed flavor, too, especially because your crust is a genuine brick oven-slayed pizza crust, so don't go Domino's on us. Season that thing! I need you all to stick to the description of your pizza on the menu and don't be stingy. I had to ask the lady to get the kitchen to add more arugula. She brought my pizza back to me, looking the same way; it barely had arugula and dressing. I don't want to pay $15 for a good specialty pizza and then have to go home and Doctor it up to make it a great pizza in line with your description of what I was buying on Your menu. Lastly, the side of pizza sauce tasted like Bertolli Vodka Pasta Sauce but I'm not mad because I like Bertolli Vodka Pasta Sauce but it's not a side of pizza marinara. Other than that, I still recommend Brix to loosen you and your party up with wine, spirits, bites and a pretentious atmosphere with a really down to earth staff with reasonable prices.“

“Burgers are very good. We ordered take out, otherwise I really needed some pickles but other than that, I'd say the best halal burger in the area. Better than OMG, Flip and Dip and Bunslut. We had the truffle burger, the oh so hot burger, and the regular burger. Fries use American cheese, which I am not a fan of, wished it was real cheddar or something. Their 'boring' fries are great.“

“As one of Houston's older establishments, Stanton's City Bites managed to morph from what was once a convenience store to one of the city's beloved burger destinations. A lot has changed in the First World over the last half century, but Stanton's has remained one of the city's most popular businesses. For me, it's become one of my favorite places to enjoy an American classic and is a beloved Asian-owned business. The place is easy to miss for a lot of first timers, since the building looks more like a house than it does a restaurant. The beautiful mural on the outside is what usually gets my attention but it's literally on the corner of Houston Ave and Edwards Street. Parking can be a challenge at times, but the steady flow of customers in and out means the wait to find a space won't be long. The interior reminds me of a renovated retro diner. I love the vintage decor pieces adorned on the wall and it didn't dawn on me that the place had Asian management until I saw the urns and Chinese characters behind the counter. It was a surprise but I'm all for it. (#1) The staff was extremely kind and current owner Theresa Fong and her adult children were doing a masterful job at running the show, cooking the food, and greeting every customer. Every time I've gotten a burger here, it's been great. The 1/2 Ib beef patties are a welcome departure from the smashburger trend that has been sweeping the city the past few years, and the heartiness of their stacked burgers is my usual preference. Truth be told, I haven't really had a bad burger here yet, thus I tend to get something different here each time. The Miss Piggie (ground bacon + beef patty + house candied bacon + hashbrown + cheddar + lettuce + tomato) is an easy go-to, as it combines a lot of sweet and savory textures. I do feel their turkey burger is highly underrated, and the holy cow (5 different cheeses) is cheesy in the best way. The blue moon (crumbled bleu cheese) is my pseudo guilty pleasure, but the monster burger (1 Ib of meat, 1/4 bacon, 4 slices of American cheese, with all the fixins) is the one item I can expect a nice food coma. Combine this with their tator tots, french fries, onion rings or pickle chips. There are also many burger alternatives, from veggie options to other sandwiches. Their club sandwiches are stacked (literally) and the tuna salad as well as the BLT, or smoked turkey sandwiches sound fabulous. I've heard good things about their chicken caesar. The prices aren't back breaking and the takeout is so popular here that I'd recommend calling ahead of time. They are a friend bunch and whenever I'm in the area I'm always debating on making a stop to enjoy a good, casual, and delicious burger. ___________ (#1) Is this not the most Houston thing ever?“

“Unique ambience, we sat at the patio for dinner and the vibes were very mellow an chill. Food was great, especially the Boromir's Boudin Burger and the Dwalin chicken sandwich. Special call out to the excellent wait staff for making it totally worth our 'lets try this place out' visit. Cannot wait to try more from their menu.“

“Friendly staff, quick service and good food. The burger was great and fries were good with a slightly thicker cut, soft inside and not crispy on the outside . The burger comes out without most toppings but there is a self serve bar in the center of the restaurant where you choose your basic toppings and condiments finish off your burger. Atmosphere is relaxing and appears to be clean although the building is older on both the inside and outside. I visited the restaurant at 2:30pm and there were plenty of open tables. I noticed this restaurant was awarded Best Burgers in 2003. I would recommend this restaurant.“

The burger meat is too small for the bun, I think the chef's precooked the burger and assembled it when ordered. I have never received a fresh hot burger from here yet. “Wow! First of all; the beautiful lady at the window reminded me of my grandmother and had me literally fighting back tears! The food was made with love! Love! We had the chili cheese fries which were fire! That chili is delicious! We ordered the double cheese burgers with bacon they were so big we had to save half for later! The meat was flavorful and the toppings were fresh! We closed things out with pineapple and cookies n cream shakes and they too did NOT disappoint! If your on this side of town this place is a must try! Shout out to Texas Bucket List for turning me on to this gem, we'll be back!“

“This is one of the coolest restaurants that was recommended and then I kind of found on my own. It is such a cool spot not only is it like a grocery store, but they also have a restaurant and it’s kinda like a throwback till like the 19th 20s to the 1950s. It has a really good feel around the whole restaurant kind of has that whole olden day farmhouse field to it of a grocery store. The people is super friendly and super kind and very accommodating and they really made sure that I was having a good experience while I was there from the staff to the management. “Patio seating is a must! Such a chill vibe. Dogs are welcome, and it's super cute with yellow and white stripe awnings and cute comfy chairs. The service was perfection. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Portions are TINY so be prepared to order 2 dishes. It was fine for me but my date had a minuscule portion of ceviche. Definitely wasn't enough for him. Luckily, they have fantastic sourdough bread, beautifully presented, so he survived lol. I ordered the roasted gulf oysters - their interpretation of oysters Rockefeller. They were delicious but small. 5 very small oysters. At Willie G's for comparison, they give you 6 very large oysters. This minor critique won't keep me away though. Bottom line: I'll definitely be back SOON! Awesome weekend brunch spot on a pretty day. Anxious to try the wedge salad with shrimp next!“

“They do a large portion of their business by take out and phone orders. So much to choose from but I usually stick with a juicy burger. The kids burgers are plenty big.The last visit we went there were a couple of hiccups. I had ordered curly fries and got regular fries, but they quickly fixed that. I had ordered bacon but after a few bites I noticed there was no bacon. I heard another customer mention they did not get the avocado they ordered. Could have been an off night, since they were really busy with to-go orders. Those hiccups won't stop me from going again. Very friendly service.“

“The crazy burger is really delicious, so is the London style fish and chips. The service is good, the ambiance is small quaint family style dining area, but let's face it, people come here to enjoy the food. I wish they have Coca Cola products instead of Pepsi. That is my only caveat. So whenever I come to pick up my order it is hot fresh and delicious always ready in 15 minutes or less as promised. “Went to this place last Saturday to celebrate my best friend birthday. The place was nice and the food really tasty. We were a large party 10+ with kids (from 3-12 years old). Everything was ok and we were having a great time until we had some trouble with the checks (they messed up eventhoug we were very clear about who was paying what) anyway, this was ok because our waitress was very nice and patient so we didn’t care that much. When they already “fixed it “ there was a remaining amount to be paid but we didn’t know from where since we all have paid it all. This waitress call the “manager”and when this lady came out, she was with and attitude like “I’ll give you shots and a Margarita but I need this to be paid” let me clarify we never had a problem about paying, just wanted to understand why if we had already done it. We ended up paying and she brought this shots with that attitude but honestly we were having a great time. Later than this, we (the moms) saw her talking to our husbans and we noticed something was going on. When I approached them, I was told that we needed to leave. She said to them that our kids weren’t behaving so we needed to leave now. I didn’t understand at first because she didn’t say a word or someone else while we were there. She was mad because our kids were playing in the place right next to it and said they weren’t allowed, but the man in charge of that place said they were good. Anyway, she brought this plastic cups and in a very rude way was standing by us like we were criminals. No one else came to say anything, it was only her! She claimed that she had told us so many times (no even one) and that we needed to leave the place. She was rude, she had no respect at all, she made us have a really bad time which is sad because honestly the place was very nice and we went there because it was a “kids friendly “ place and all we wanted to do was to celebrate my friend! I never write reviews, but at this time I felt the need to do it. So sad to have to say this, but not returning to this place while still in charge of zero prepared person. “We found this place on Google and are so happy we did! The food is freshly made, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. The first bite of my burger bacon avocado burger was a challenge because it is very thick, but very juicy. The front of house staff was very personable, attentive and was sure that we understood everything they offer. My husband's Crazy Burger was a double patty that was 1 pound of meat. He was ultimately stuffed by the time he finished what he could of it.“
