“Been going to Banana Leaf for years. Always good food, always good service, always a friendly atmosphere. They handled special request. I don’t know that I could say this about any place else, but I don’t believe I’ve ever had a bad meal there.
PS. My wife likes to go there which is amazing for any Asian food.“

“5/5 stars this place was BUSSIN.
It’s in a small part of town and very discreet - the service was good.
Usually not a fan of fusion cultural cuisines but this Thai-Mexican was executed quite well. Got the Tom yum birria tacos, would come back again!“

“I almost hate to share this because I don’t want this gem to be discovered and overpopulated, but I MUST share this treasure with you to ensure it stays open.
First off- the location is horrible. You cannot see it from Walnut Hill or 75. It’s right across from Presby Dallas. If you turn it at the main light shopping center you’ll go right like you’re going towards Hat Creek BBQ or Luna grill. Right in the very back, right next to BBQ you will find Ka Thai.
The food is exquisite. Can’t begin to describe how flavorful it is, especially all the sauces. It’s very fairly priced. They offer happy hour Monday- Friday and ALL day Sunday. They HH menu had some great options.
Do yourself a favor and try the Ka Thai ceviche- you’ll wish you got more! It’s also on HH menu. Another great one is the Ka Thai Botanic roll. It’s basically a spring roll with peanut sauce. Holy cow it’s so good!
All the food is made fresh, so you have to wait. Not a long wait at all, but you can tell nothing is pre-made and just warmed up, which I appreciate.
They also have location specific dishes. I’ve had a handful. They’re great. Really, I haven’t had anything I didn’t like and I try to always get something new along with my staples every visit.
Come enjoy!“

“If you’re looking for top-notch Thai cuisine in DFW, look no further than Thai Palm! My recent visit was a culinary delight from start to finish. We started with a refreshing Thai iced tea for me and a delicious taro boba tea for my boyfriend—both were perfectly crafted and incredibly satisfying. We then shared an order of crab wantons, which were generously stuffed and bursting with flavor.
For the main course, I had the chicken Pad Thai, while my partner opted for the green curry. Both dishes were served in hefty portions and were among the best Thai food I’ve had. The flavors were vibrant, the ingredients fresh, and the execution flawless.
The staff and management at Thai Palm are engaging and friendly, offering great recommendations and creating a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re a fan of Thai food, Thai Palm is a must-try destination in the DFW area!“

“Excellent service, good food, and modern earthy atmosphere!
Pros: Peanut sauce is freshly ground and the Thai green tea was very floral, like jasmine flowers! Green curry and tom kha soup are excellent (spice level 3). The shrimp in the green curry was so fresh. The papaya salad was fresh and sour.
Cons: The tofu in the tom kha soup is the brown fried kind instead of silken, and not fresh. Also, while the tom kha soup was good, it doesn't hit all my tastebuds like some other restaurants have. Papaya salad at spice level 3 is spicier than you'd expect, so a level 2 would be better.
Overall I highly recommend this place!“

“We got the pineapple curry and the Thai noodle soup.
The Thai noodle soup was very flavorful. It came with rice noodles. It was just a bit spicy, but not too much.
The pineapple curry was very creamy and flavorful. It was my favorite item. Had a bit of a kick to the spice. It paired well with tofu. The tofu just absorbed a lot of the curry and made it very saucy.
Overall, the food was great. I enjoyed my Thai tea as well. It wasn't too sweet like other places I've tried and was just right.“

“Cozy lil family run restaurant, food was plentiful & spot on w loads of parking, strip mall setting type, got there late in evening so reason for service rating, they were in closing mode but didn't rush me, will return!
Vegetarian options: I believe food can be made to order
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly I'm sure but quiet, quaint place so no disruptive kids“

“?Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and the Mango and Sticky Rice are my favorites! I’m picky about drunken noodles and theirs was really good. The mango was fresh and perfect ripeness, and the sticky rice and coconut milk sauce were delicious. Order while it lasts since mango season is almost over. The host/waiter was very friendly and the wait time for takeout was only about 10-15 min. ??“

“Best Thai place in DFW, don’t believe me come try it. Ordered classic pad thai, pad kee mow, Tom yum noodle soup and pot stickers as an appetizer. To drink , brown sugar boba and taro boba drink.
Other than the food being amazing, the small things that stick out: timing: order to the table, perfect. 10-15 min. Bringing water with boba drinks, awesome. The care the waiter/owner has on everything being a great experience. Overall great great great.
Bonus: let us try a new appetizer.“

“Thai forward Asian fusion restaurant where they take culinary arts seriously. Varied menu with many options, and plate presentation is lovely. Bar is elegant and casual, well stocked with a Japanese accent. Service is prompt, attentive, and responsive. There are vegetarian options here, enough that I would visit again, but not enough to be a go-to, and they don't mark them on the menu even though they mark gluten free items all over.“

“Wonderful Hidden Gem !!!!
Was given a suggestion by a friend to give Bambu in Richardson a try if I enjoyed Thai food, which I do. Thought I would drop in for lunch today and found a "Hidden Thai Gem" in Richardson that everyone should put on their regular restaurant list.
Met at the front door with a fantastic greeter in a young lady that continued as our waitstaff throughout the meal and we could not have asked for better service - it was fabulous !
Now to the most important - the food, two dishes were ordered at our table and both of them went above board on appearance and taste. The first one was Panang Curry - we decided to order this on a spice level 2. You can order on spice levels 1-3. Our decision was perfect for our taste. Very spicy but not over the top that it masked the tastes of the ingredients which included Chicken, coconut milk, bell pepper, zucchini, kaffir lime leaves, Thai basil all swimming in a broth that was incredible. Off to the side was a mound of Jasmine Rice - our decision was to combine the two into one dish and what an amazing combination we achieved.
Our second dish was the Bambu Specialty Crab Fried Rice which came with just the right amount of ingredients of meat, egg, tomatoe, onion, and scallions. It came out as a fried rice dish that made a meal in itself with no need for any addition seasonings.
The owners of the establishment came over and introduced themselves to us due to the fact that we had been referred to them and they were so gracious and had their space so well decorated in the era to note not only present time asian cultures but past time asian cultures as well. The interior was very well done.
So if you have not found this "Hidden Thai Gem" in Richardson, venture off to the southeast corner of Coit/Campbell - trust me, you will not be disappointed !!“

“The food was absolutely wonderful but the service wasn’t good. He actually didn’t get my order right and when I went back to let the lady know she wouldn’t do anything about it. She said I have to wait for him to get there and he wasn’t first time actually eating there but the food was good so I’ll be back, but definitely check your food before you leave.“

“Food is descent quality, some dishes are bit more spicy even if you order medium spice. The drinks menu was not provided and the charges are very high, never seen such high prices for drinks, may be worth checking on price for drinks before ordering. It was Sunday night and restaurant was empty.“

“First time here for lunch with my sister and niece. We were hungry from marathon shopping and decided we needed some Thai food. The service was great and they were very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant enough. The restaurant is small and cozy. The menu has a huge variety of dishes although many of them are quite similar. Our food was served quickly and came out nice and hot. The food itself, however, was pretty bland and lacked much of a flavor profile. I was surprised by this. My sister liked her food (shrimp) but said that the shrimp was a little overcooked. She loved her Thai Tea! My niece who is vegan enjoyed her vegetables, rice and tofu. I had the beef, vegetables and rice and was just not impressed. It was bland, the beef was tough and the veggies needed more cooking time. Rice was okay. I felt the prices were too high for what we got. If the food had been excellent, I would have been okay with the high prices. I still feel like this was a decent 4 star overall experience based on the nice people who work there and the excellent service we received.
Dietary restrictions: Nice vegan options.“

“We come here at least every few months or so. We love the sushi options as well as the food. There is always plenty left over for us to take home in a box and eat later. Real nice experience - family friendly. Great place. They also have a bar - but we didn't sit over there. You can just order drinks from your table.“

“First time here and it was a great experience. We had the fresh rolls and shrimp blankets and the Laab salad-chicken and the pad kee mao. I did have to return the laab salad. It came out smelling like feet. I have never had it before but he said it's supposed to smell like that because of the seasoning. I didn't want to stomach it. They did replace it. The pad kee mao was absolutely amazing and will return for that! I truly cannot stop thinking about it.“

“My 2nd time there in a month. Amazing Thai food and friendly, attentive staff in a lush setting. My only ask would be that they play Thai music like Khun Narin or Cambodian music like Dengue Fever to compliment the theming and decor. But other than that, 5 stars!“
