“I will be stopping here every day! The staff is so uplifting and friendly. The gentleman at the door (the face of the restaurant you see on the way in and the way out) is phenomenal! I literally leave in a better mood every morning. (even when I am already in a good mood!) The food is great the servers are great and the price is right. “My Dad & I recently ate there this last Saturday evening. We have been searching for a good mexican food restaurant after El Ranchito's closed in Seguin. That was my go to restaurant for my 92 year old Dad for 40 years. He ordered the Mexican plate and was delighted everything was delicious. I knew we have finally found our new go to place when he put their salsa over everything on his plate. Love their corn tortillas, the best.😋👏👏👏“

“My food was delicious I ordered the Plato Mexicano and everything was delicious except the beans tasted a little burned. I ordered a Blue Milagro margarita which was very tasty.

**Update- this is still one of my favorite places to eat Mexican food. The enchiladas were nice and cheesy but the rice has always been my go to. On top of that I love how they bring us chips and salsa before we even order our drinks.“

The Tacos are great, good sized and decently priced. They host a great space for dining my favorite part aside from the food are all the signs with silly sayings. If your on the NE side of San Antonio your gotta check out Christians Tacos.“

Today was probably the first time I felt somewhat uncomfortable, I felt the Restraurant was being very one sided in their political view with what program customers had to watch. I asked politely could they please find something else to put on that had nothing to do with politics such as the View. There was no compromise whatsoever. “First time at Alondras in La Vernia,TX. A gem of a Mexican restaurant, friendly hometown atmosphere. I ordered A Gordita and A Tostada, both with picadillo as the meat choice. The Gordita was stuffed with just the right amount of freshly prepared ingredients to make it delicious, and I might add it was not greasy at all like you may experience at some other restaurants. The Tostada was equally tasty, freshly prepared and crispy. The complimentary chips and salsa were an extra bonus to round up my meal.“

We pass it twice a day and have often laughed about it. Shame on me for violating my own premise that the best food comes from the most unassuming dive joints. We finally tried it and Holy Smokin' beef cheeks, Batman. The service is good and the people friendly. The barbacoa is super tender, flavorful and moist, without being greasy. It comes with whole avocados, pico de gallo, your choice of flour or corn tortillas. If you order flour you're doing it wrong. You can optionally get it with the requisite beverage, Big Red. If you order any other drink, you lose your Texican card. It doesn't matter if you hate Big Red as I do. Go Big Red or go home. It has all the ambience of being broken down in your car on the side of a busy highway intersection, which of course is exactly the ambience it should have. They also have tamales and menudo, but online reviews suggest Larry should stick to what he does best--The World's Best Barbacoa--and leave it at that. oh...they only take cash, so leave your credit cards at home, and mindya bizness about if he reports all of it to Uncle Sam. 5 out of 5 stars 🌟“

I like to add potatoes and cheese to the chorizo and egg tacos; they really pack them full. The service has always been friendly. I would recommend this place if you're in the area. As for the atmosphere, I think it's too small of a location for their operation. It's not really inviting for dine-in customers.
