“Between Antonelli's for cheese and this place for gelatto and small sweets (macroons, baklava, stroopwaffle), Duval's 43-45 corridor is a powerhouse of small-scale, high-quality business. The gelato here is comparable or better than the other-best-ice-cream I've had (Bent Spoon @Princeton, NJ), and certainly does the Europe proud. I'm told the proprietor studied gelato in school and it shows.“
“Right in the center of East Austin, in a lively neighborhood for extra bar hopping. Great selection of beers, brewed freshly in house. Lots of seating inside / outside. Cozy & laidback environment. One of most popular places among locals, rightfully deserved to be so ??“
“Fantastic coffee, sweetest baristas, the food and vibes are immaculate. Love the vinyl DJs there everyday and the back garden space is so cute. I learned that they do so much to work with and support local musicians and music non profits. It’s the cutest little treat shop in Austin with a lot of heart cause they sure do TRY HARD! ☕️✨☕️Are the prices a bit steep? Sure, but it’s reflective of a business trying to make a difficult change in an industry that’s been operating on not paying folks what they are worth for a very long time. Will for sure be coming back here! ???“
“Full time traveler here (@whatrvdoing). I stopped in for some beans since I was out of my typical subscription. Asked for something from Kenya as normally those boast my favorite notes. The place was rad inside - it felt like an industrial coffee setting, which is fun to me. Super chill team of employees and coffee aficionados, however I should have asked the supreme question of all time. "What is the best thing on the menu?" in coffee terms for me, "best" would have been replaced with "juiciest." Because what I got was not what I love. I am sure this multi-decade provider of energy and awareness to adults has some good stuff, great stuff.. I just didn't land on one.“
“I've been here multiple times for work sessions and with the family. Good coffee. Good hot chocolate. Nice service. Prices on the higher end. The interior has ample space and solid WIFI. The only knock from me is that the seating (minus a couple of couches and arm chairs) isn't very comfortable and the design is very industrial. Fitting for a roasting house, but it definitely doesn't feel like a space to linger to me, which is probably their intention. Added bonus is that parking is ample at most times and they have some snacks as well as several Independent places for food in the same building.“
“Just tried for the first time and got a mocha late, so this review is fresh as the coffee they made for me. Let me say it simple... I'm happy with this place and the coffee tastes so good. That's my review,...oh and the peeps here are hospitable and love to serve! Have a nice day!“
“big fan. it wouldn't be hard to spend half the day here. as someone who works remotely, I really enjoyed the drip brew coffee and the opportunity to order real food. I like that its so close to the city but separate, quieter, plenty of free parking.“
“El tigre is back and i LOVE the new location! Been working out of here this whole week and the trailer is so cute, new sandwiches added to the menu are delicious and the coffee is better than ever. Baristas are super sweet and remembered my name after my first order.“
“First time visiting was such an amazing experience. The staff are all SUPER helpful and great for all "levels" - whether you're an experienced coffee/tea enthusiast or if you're just starting the journey. They took great care in helping me find what was truly best for me. All the associates work together collaboratively, even when they are busy. I love that! Not to mention, the interior itself is very cute and well organized. Loads of accessories and gear for coffee and tea hobbies alike. They have a BUNCH of coffee stuff, I think the only thing I didn't see was espresso gear specifically (tamper, WDT, portafilter, etc.) but that's okay. Maybe they sell it and I didn't see it?This place is just great. They're even flexible on their coffee sizes if you're trying a new blend/roast for the first time. They also pack the bag in front of you so you know it's the freshest of the fresh. This will be my go-to place for beans from now on. Can't speak highly enough!(For those visiting for the first time, there is street parking as well as a tiny parking lot right in front of the store. Their entrance canopy thing is now black instead of red, but should still be easy to see from the road. Keep in mind they don't sell drinks here, but you should definitely buy their tea/coffee and brew it at home! Happy shopping!)Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step to enter the shop, no wheelchair ramp.“
“i got an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk, yes i am basic and yes it was delicious. the employees were friendly and i got my food pretty quickly even though it was busy. i love the seats next to the big window and it felt peaceful even with so many folks coming in and out. the green eggs and ham is interesting, i liked the prosciutto and soft boiled egg. overall a great experience i liked it here a lot.“
“Considering driving 200 miles just to visit this place again!Excellent service, smooth & comforting coffee, tasty & filling breakfast tacos and delicious danishes that have the perfect amount of sweetness…..all with an excellent view and atmosphere!“
“A little tucked away, but worth the search. I've had their coffee plenty of times throughout the city, but my first visit to their storefront was so pleasant. Aurora is amazing and full of good vibes & helpfulness!Best coffee roasters in Austin. I've never had a brew that I didn't like. Sooo affordable for such high quality and flavor.“
“NOT ORGANIC. It says organic in their business name on google, but after asking the barista had no idea if it was and the. Going to look at the house coffee they sell, there is no organic certifications or even the word organic. If you come here specifically for organic coffee (as you should with everything you consume) they may have been lying to you. Goes for all locations in my opinion.“
“Their moon milk is delicious and they had alternative milks to satisfy our dietary needs (almond, oat, coconut). They had vegan pastries including a croissant and a pop-tart that were absolutely delicious. They had a great team working, which was good because of how busy they were, but it didn't seem like people waited too long for their orders. We will be back!“
“First, this place has the best baristas I have ever met... kind, patient, and welcoming to everyone (including professional Karens and people experiencing hard times). Second, they have the best coffee of any place I have ever been - I've quit going to Starbucks since coming here because Starbucks just tastes bad now in comparison. Keep up the great work everyone - you are appreciated!!!“
“As soon as my package arrived I couldn't wait to make a cup! By far the best tasting coffee ever! Don't know why I waited so long to order. I also love that it is owned and operated by Veterans and supports Veterans. Awesome!!! Thank you!!!“
“I was excited to try a new coffee shop my friends had raved about. My partner and I found Barrett’s to be worth all the accolades. Excellent espresso and pastries, thoughtful and helpful baristas, and an airy and lovely space. Absolutely worth the visit.“
“The coffee selection is versatile. Alot of blends from all over the world. The African and Asian blends are my favorite. I thought I had good coffee all over Austin. This place has unique grounds. They are in a league of their own. The atmosphere is a bit stuffy and posh. Maybe bourgeois and pretentious because of the location.“
“My local coffee spot! Great coffee and food, friendly and personable staff (including the goat), nice new covered deck area and extended open air space. They also sell their own beans for when I don't have time to stop in and get my fix.Parking: Never had trouble parking in the lot. Small lot in front, and large lot to the side. Side lot is gravel/dirt and not ideal for a freshly washed car or lowered vehicles.“
“First off, they are incredibly friendly and easygoing. Just being here makes you feel good.Next, their coffee. They let me try a sample of their drip coffee and it was fantastic. Flavorful, fun, fruity, balanced. I ordered a pour over (pink bourbon) and it was expertly made. Perfect extraction, clean, smooth, full fruity goodness. So, naturally, I had to get back in line and order an espresso drink. Again, so so so good. Perfect extraction on the espresso made for one of the most delicious cortados I’ve ever had.Important to note that they seem (at least at the time of me writing this) to specialize in fruitier, funkier natural processed coffees. So if that is your style then you will LOVE this place as much as I do.Also important to note that this is served out of a food truck. So there is no indoor seating, but plenty of wonderful outdoor seating. Also all drinks are served in to-go cups, so consider bringing your own cup if that’s your style :)“
