“Mehn! The young guy that work there is respectful and professional! I usually don’t leave these but I pray for bigger things for this lil food truck. I’m the Caribbean guy that came in the black Honda with red rims lol. I appreciate how they don’t act stingy for the food! Most places charge more and give less!!! Yall food is amazing and comforting! Definitely have to come by next time to just leave a big tip!! Keep it up!“
“WOW. This place is incredible. Officially my favorite restaurant in the entire city of Austin. The hummus is life changing. I bought a tub to keep in my fridge lol. Please do yourself a favor and try it. Can’t say enough good things here, and no I’m not affiliated in any way.“
“Generous portions of quality fare at reasonable prices. They made a smart choice putting Yonny up front. Professional, friendly, and you can tell... Just a genuinely all around good guy though it does seem like he should have 2.5M subscribers on a YouTube channel doing reviews for import autos, cell phones or exotic travel destinations. The wife and I decided we hope he pursues such a thing even though we will miss him at The Kebab Shop. Go eat here, tip generously and love life otherwise you'll disappoint your ancestors.... And that's not what you want to do now is it?“

“Hands down the one of the tastiest places you can eat at in Austin. Every time I’ve gone in the past few months (let’s keep that number confidential), the food consistently looks gorgeous and tastes even better which is saying something! The owners are soooo nice and everything about this place makes you want to go back again and again. The loaded fries and beef/lamb shawarma + falafel plate for our vegetarian friendly pals are all mouthwatering and delicious 10000000/10 :)“
“This place was clean and organized. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great, and the time waiting was minimal. The food was ok to me but decent too. I ordered a lamb bowl, and with the help of the cashier, I built it. A nice experience overall.“
“One of the things I live about this place is how kind they are to my teen. If I’m not cooking and stuck at school my teen walks over and buys their chicken, burgers, chicken and rice w/white sauce.. and they are always so kind to him.I really appreciate that. The food is wonderfulParking: It’s in a gas station parking lot. If full? Park at the west oaks baptist church the next right on westgate after gas station and walk over to the food trailer. The church is okay with it :)“
“HUGE gyro! Stopped here to check out what food carts were available and decided to try this one, super glad I did because the gyro was delicious! The serving size was huge and it was packed with tons of meat and sauce, just like I like them! There was live music playing when I was there and it was a really nice place to chill and eat.“
“This restaurant is truly one of Austin’s hidden gems! Amazing food and awesome service. They outshine all the other mediocre competitors when you eat here you feel like you’re welcomed and at home. Definitely coming back to this awesome restaurant and I heard they have one in San Marcos so whenever I’m floating the River I know where to go. Thank you the halal project for putting a smile on my face!“
“Mandi Hut is a true gem when it comes to Arabian cuisine. Their lamb Mandi is a culinary masterpiece, with tender meat infused with fragrant spices that transport you to the heart of the Middle East and the Sanani kabob at Mandi Hut is a delight for the senses the perfectly grilled skewered meat is juicy and packed with flavor, making it an irresistible treat for any lover of Middle Eastern cuisine Also, Indulging in Mandi Hut's basbosa is like taking a bite of pure sweetness the soft, syrup-soaked semolina cake melts in your mouth, leaving behind a lingering taste of heavenly delight Totally recommend this place ????“
“Fantastic food and service every time I've been in! Eating at Ezov is a wonderful experience, and I'm always excited for an occasion to visit. Everything we've tried has been delicious with the Crudo, Squash Fattoush, Sabich, and Chicken Shawarma being exceptional standouts. Service is attentive, and the staff is as knowledgeable about the food as you'd expect. Make sure to get desert! My only minor gripe; the contracted out valet on Saturday 4/13 was falsely and aggressively telling people Ezov charges $10 to park - payable in Venmo or Cash to him. Rubbed me the wrong way, but hey I knew the experience inside was going to be brilliant as ever and it was! I'd recommend finding a different valet service though.“
“Great food truck with fast delivery and efficient service. It is nice that there is quick and efficient surface park since you are downtown and it's sometimes a little tricky to park in places. The gyro is tasty and a little bit on the spicy side... But they have all the other Mediterranean classics as well. The falafel plate is my and the lamb kebab is a good second choice.“
“Amazing food! I loved the decadence of the pulao and the fragrance of the dishes. Timely service and friendly staff who made us feel at home. We were offered a complimentary Bolani (it tastes like potato/aaloo kulcha) which was really tasty. The green tea is a needed finisher to the meal and instantly gave me the kick I wanted after a hearty meal that could make me fall asleep.“
“I tried this gem of a place for the first time and they did not disappoint! Delicious fresh food, friendly service, clean facilities, and overall great experience! The food and the service is certainly the star of this place! I was immediately greeted with a smile, and offered suggestions on what tasty items to get. I ordered the BBQ grill plate with the chicken and lamb, along with some falafel, and baklava for dessert. Every single item was delicious. Just so flavorful and beautifully done. Definitely give this place a try- you will be glad that you did! Each item was authentic in flavor and texture, and presentation. I will be back to try other items soon!“
“Happened to see this on the map while I was hungry searching for food near me. This was absolutely delicious! So much flavor in everything, the chicken, the rice, the hummus. Highly recommended!Pro tip: ordering at the truck instead of online“
“Stopped in here for a quick dinner to go. Staff said the order would be ready in 10 minutes and they were spot on. It was great walking in as the order was just filled. Ordered two gyros--one chicken, one original. Both tasted fresh and were large portions. Also appreciated they had a variety of sparkling water in the cooler. We'll definitely return.“
“Just wanted to share my awesome experience at Shawarma Point. The beef and lamb platter was a taste sensation – seriously, the perfectly seasoned meat, fresh veggies, and that delightful sauce had my taste buds doing a happy dance! But what really made my day was seeing the owner's kindness in action. He was offering free drinks to a homeless guy, even though he already had food – a small gesture that warmed my heart. It's not just about the delicious shawarma; it's about a place with a big heart.Wishing Shawarma Point all the best! ?“
“I live down the block and have been here 3-4 times since I stumbled on it. The service is great - the Jordanian owner/chef is awesome, and their shawarma is excellent. Definitely recommend adding the toum + grab a hummus, which is super rich.“
“Shawarma Point provided amazing food for a very special event I was hosting. The service was outstanding by making sure I had everything I needed and plenty of it! My guests were blown away by the fantastic “build your own spread”featuring basmati rice, spring salads, pita bread, chicken shawarma, fresh veggie and of course their infamous white sauce and red sauce! Each guest went back for seconds and some thirds. This could have been a tough crowd to please for dinner. Shawarma Point made me look like a rockstar host!I recommend this as the best option for exceeding expectations for a variety of guests, not to mention my own.“
“La comida fue excepcional, cada plato estaba cuidadosamente preparado con ingredientes frescos y sabores deliciosos. El servicio fue impecable y el ambiente acogedor añadió una experiencia memorable. Es mi segunda vez y Sin duda, volvería a este restaurante.“
“This is the restaurant I love the most in Austin City. They serve all kind of authentic Halal Yemeni dishes. We used to drive all the way to Dallas for Hadramout. Those days are over. Now Hadramout is in Austin. Almost every week I'm having Hadramout with my family and friends since they opened.I love all of their dishes. You name it from Mandi, Kabsa, Haneeth, Zurbian to Grilled Fish. I've tried everything. Other than that they didn't compromise with their quality at all. I really appreciate their hard work.Highly recommended! ?“
“Best bodega on the east side! Wonderful selection of snacks, beverages, and even a Mediterranean deli in the back. Love all the staff and I go here all the time. I drive past 7-11 to stop here because it’s so much better. I like the wine selection, kombuchas and local juices, plus healthier snacks that I can’t find at a regular corner store“
“Ordered in some lamb and chicken rice bowls from halal bros. The rice were well cooked and flavorful. The veggies fresh and the chicken very well cooked and delicious. The lamb was well cooked as well.I’ve ordered in quite a bit from halal bros and it never disappoints.“
“Wow! This place is the best!! Great taste and good customer service. Super generous portions on the chicken wrap. Lots of chicken, lettuce, tomato and cucumber! You get the best bang for your buck here, one wrap is like two whole meals! One of my favorite spots I will keep coming back for these reasons!“
“Had a Delicious Veggie wrap with their Lemon mint drink which is very lovely and watched gags for laughs and overall Love the Halal Corner always good food and the ladies behind the cash register are always sooooo nice Vegetarian options: I'm Vegan and I Love the many options I have very selective and delicious ?“
“I’ve had soco halal about a half dozen times now and it’s always consistently amazing. The food is insanely flavorful and fresh, you can feel the love they put into it. The dolmas are a must, I also love the lamb wrap and hummus with pita. I wish they had dessert!“
