“My husband loved the crudo dish, had the smashed cucumber (smoked labne, nigella, amba, aleppo). Frena - this was delicious! (mediterranean wheat, za'atar, lamb butter, beet horseradish. Chicken Shawarma - laffa, carraway cabbage, green tahini and fixins Favorite was the falafel - tahini, amba, green shug..... yum! Cocktails of course! Our waitress was Sophie she was very gracious and attentive. Definitely going back.“

“Food was tasty, the guy who took our order was really polite, and the dining area is chill.

However there is a parking issue in this gas station and the storage business right next to it. I got a boot on my car just waiting 20 minutes for my food and it cost me $100 to get it off.

If you do decide to come here, I would avoid parking here if there is an event near the stadium because you will get a boot on your car as there was several other cars getting booted.

I’m not sure if the owner is aware but you guys could warn your customers somewhere that this is a possibility. I know it’s not your fault but it’s your customers being affected by this.“

“So I was having a bad day so I decided to give this place s try I rented a generator to the owner during a snow freeze he gave me his card 3 years ago I ordered the wings im a wing snob they were breded and buffalo amazing better than pluckers..also got the backlava witch I was skeptical but I have been to many middle eastern weedings this is real backlava very surprising gem find in south Austin“

“I had the pleasure of enjoying my first plate of yumminess while attending Mythicon last weekend. It was so great to have some authentic middle eastern. It was delicious. The staff was so fun and friendly that we got so busy chatting I forgot to pay. I felt horrible and when I returned to pay, they were so grateful for my honesty that they insisted I enjoy my complimentary meal. So, free and delish! Win win!“

“This is easily one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I've been to. The chicken was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly, and the gyros were just as impressive with fresh ingredients and amazing seasoning. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous for the price.
I came here with a group of friends, and every single person enjoyed their meal. Everyone found something they loved, and we all agreed we'd definitely come back. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the overall atmosphere made for a great experience. If you're looking for quality Mediterranean food, especially great chicken and gyros, this place is absolutely worth trying!“

“It was really great place to visit the (thicket Park). It’s a family friendly location. I came with my wife and my son. He had lots of fun and we tried to eat at TX Shawarma. We tried the chicken, It was amazing and the kebab as well and my kid loved their fries. Would definitely recommend it and we are coming again soon.“

“Wow this place is true gem! I’ve been by for lunch, gotten the Thanksgiving meal, and last night we got catering for our party and the food was incredible as always. We got the lamb and chicken for 20 with grilled veggies, 2 types of hummus, Egyptian salad with pomsoy dressing, cranberry herb rice, and baklava for dessert. The food was seriously full of so much love I can’t even begin to describe it. Everything was so flavorful and just perfection. The owner was so accommodating and kind and even threw in a little extra for us. She helped us find a last-minute belly dancer which was the icing on the cake to make my husband’s first in-person birthday since the pandemic very special. There is so much more on the menu I want to try! Please visit them soon!“

“Used to come here all the time before Covid whenever we drove my brother to Austin for school, then it was closed for a long time for some reason. Recently realized it finally opened back up and have had it a couple times again - easily better than Halal Guys. Fantastic portion sizes and tastes great, especially the chicken. “I visited Chako for the first time on Sunday with some family and we all LOVED the food!! We were so excited to try the shawarmas and the food was better than expected! Food was served within 10 minutes of ordering and food was very warm! The man serving us was so friendly and even with a language barrier between us he gave exceptional service. He even got off his truck to come and ask how our food was and made sure we didn’t need anything else.I will definitely be coming here more often!🤗“
