“I've only had the cesar wrap, but it was AMAZING! So much food, and one wrap can easily feed two people, maybe more! My teenager's wrap didn't survive the trip home! A MUST TRY!!!! The service was excellent and friendly, great voice by the way! He sounds like a Hollywood star. The first time I tasted this wrap, a friend shared a bit of hers with me and I had to know where it had come from. My friend's husband had picked it up "somewhere off Brodie at a gas station" and I thought he was kidding. I finally made it out there today and bought the whole family dinner. It is in a gas station, but don't let that sway you, it's quality food and lots of it for the price!!“
“How many places let you try the food before you place an order ?Ali, gave me a taste for his gyro and welcomed me with warm tea since I mentioned how much I like Iraqi tea. Didn't even charge me for it.I am new to Austin, found this gem after playing some tennis nearby at SATC. Great hospitality and wonderful owner that treats you right with good timely service. Should I even mention how good the food tasted ? five stars ? will def. recommend people to try this gem ? thank you for making Austin so welcoming ?Dietary restrictions: Halal and very clean placeParking: Plenty of good parking spots“
“HUGE gyro! Stopped here to check out what food carts were available and decided to try this one, super glad I did because the gyro was delicious! The serving size was huge and it was packed with tons of meat and sauce, just like I like them! There was live music playing when I was there and it was a really nice place to chill and eat.“
“Great food truck with fast delivery and efficient service. It is nice that there is quick and efficient surface park since you are downtown and it's sometimes a little tricky to park in places. The gyro is tasty and a little bit on the spicy side... But they have all the other Mediterranean classics as well. The falafel plate is my and the lamb kebab is a good second choice.“
“Just wanted to share my awesome experience at Shawarma Point. The beef and lamb platter was a taste sensation – seriously, the perfectly seasoned meat, fresh veggies, and that delightful sauce had my taste buds doing a happy dance! But what really made my day was seeing the owner's kindness in action. He was offering free drinks to a homeless guy, even though he already had food – a small gesture that warmed my heart. It's not just about the delicious shawarma; it's about a place with a big heart.Wishing Shawarma Point all the best! ?“
“Practically work next door and I order from Tropical Cafe at least twice a week. Food and smoothies are awesome, fresh ingredients, never have had a bad experience with the food or service. Staff is always happy and smiling, establishment is very inviting when you walk in, have my coworkers hooked on coming here for a smoothie!“
“Within H.E.B. kosher section like a mini grocery. Fridge. Freezer. Pantry with good selection. Even a deli with prepared and made to order. Passover selection in primary aisle in center of main store. Worth driving an hour to shop.Dietary restrictions: Meets Koshruth standards various hechsires“
“I stepped foot into this place and was immediately happy with my choice, the smell alone was delicious. Our food was made swiftly, even after a mistaken item had been brought out.The spicy chicken sandwich was one of the best I've ever had, and if I lived in the area this would surely become a regular stop of mine.“
“I found my South Austin sandwich shop. First off, the people working there are very nice, and seem to enjoy making your sandwiches. Today, two friends joined me and we all had three different sandwiches. They said that what they had was really good. Mine (the #16 Super Italian) was super tasty. I really liked that the tangy dressing was put on the side, because, sadly I couldn't eat the other half. However, it is in the fridge and I will have it shortly. As usual, I have to say it. Don't believe me go get you own.“
“Genuinely one of the best food trucks out there. They are so incredibly friendly and there food really brings back memories of my own family's Trini cooking. Plus, there's nowhere else you're getting doubles in the area! Great options for veg eaters and non-veg eaters alike. Really couldn't recommend enough!Vegetarian options: Just get the doubles and you'll be blown away!“
“KG bbq gets 5 stars from me on the strength of their pork ribs and brisket rice bowl. The ribs were tender and flavorful, all the things you want out of pork ribs. The brisket rice bowl was generous with the meat and we love to see it. I also got the chicken, which was dry and the baladi salad, which while good wasn’t extraordinary. I’d definitely go back to try the Egyptian cowboy. Service was fine, again nothing extraordinary. Atmosphere is what you’d expect with a food truck.“
