“PERFECT Q!Don’t personally read magazine lists for “top” pits, preferring to drive small towns to find and try ‘em ourselves…and have been to dozens. Old 300 is hard to beat!On the Blanco square, really friendly folks, fun Texana decor, cold beer. But the food is the story … moist brisket with wonderful spicy char; perfect char on tender pull apart, not crumble apart pork ribs; jalapeño sausage had great spice and no grease; beans have excellent sweetish spice without being too salty; cole slaw crunchy and fresh but not creamy; beer cold (oh, already said that).Be advised…this is a real BBQ joint where meat is ordered by the pound (or fraction). Don’t hold up the line of hungry folks looking for a two-meat plate.Really can’t find ANYthing negative to mention. 6-??!Definitely stop!!!“
“Can't tell u how many times I've driven past this... let's say "unassuming" wine shop without stopping. Finally, on a lark, popped in.Ok, some places are so good I just wanna keep it as my own "unassuming" secret. And this is one if those places that I am sharing now.Im not kidding, and I'm not waxing hyperbolic when I say - some of the best damn wine in all of Texas. In fact, likely THE best wine you've never heard of. And that's cuz the owner doesn't care about medals.I double dog dare you to stop in here and tell me I'm wrong. DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU. ?“
“Real Ale Brewing was a fun visit that had plenty to do and plenty of places to relax and hangout. Between the indoor and outdoor seating, there was ample space for groups to enjoy their time and not feel crowded by others. The distillery puts out a great lineup of beer and whisky which makes for something for everyone. This stop on the Texas Whisky Trail was certainly enjoyable!“
“Always good cold iced beer and mixed drinks that’ll make the rough days go down smoother. 3-4 TVs playing sports or whatever the customer(s) prefer to watch. Pool tables are in mostly good working order, juke box works as it should. I’ve made this bar my number one destination and so far glad I did. I’ve never heard one customer complain of service or bad experience. So if you’re in the Blanco area or surrounding come to this location. You’ll be glad you did.“
“I really liked this cafe because of great selection of beers, awesome servers and great ambience. The happy hours have great deals and in weekend you might find some live music performance. It's a big place and gets busy toward evening. I plan on going there again.“
“Really nice pub with a great selection of beers. However it was the food that was amazing and really surprised me! I wasn't expecting that from a place that primarily focuses on their beer. But it was really good! The beer is of course good too. We went in the afternoon, between lunch and dinner so there was only one worker but he was great. Super friendly, got our order perfect, and was attentive to getting us drink refills. I highly recommend this place!“
“Delightful experience. Sarah was lovely and knowledgeable about the wines because she made them! I thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety of flavor profiles for a variety of palates. If you’ve been to Fred, but haven’t been to Serrano, that’s a big mistake that needs to be recified.“
“We traveled from out of state to try Water Buffalo gelato here. It was very good, and even better, we tried the water buffalo milk plain. Drinking it plain, the flavor of the milk is subtly sweet and even from start to finish. You should definitely try it. We understand the reason so many enjoy it. Personally, we didn't pick up on a difference in the gelato quality over traditional cow milk, but we do note the quality of the gelato to be high. Great job, Oro Bianco!“
