“The food here was excellent. The tacos were tasty and well filled. I prefer tortillas that are on the thicker side, and that's how theirs are made. The crew works hard, and everything is open for you to see how your order is prepared. I like that... The parking lot needs work as there is only 1 in and 1 out with no clear signage. I sat outside and watched several events where people were trying to go out the in, making a traffic jam. I also saw a truck back into a tree that really should not be there. Those tacos probably cost him a couple hundred dollars! DO NOT BRING A TRAILER. Saw that mess, too. The inside is clean but noisy. It's meant for quick in and out dining or takeaway. I will absolutely come back, but earlier here is definitely better. It gets hopping busy...“

This place is awesome in every way if you know what great tex mex and fantastic service is supposed to look like. I judge by the simplest of terms in Tex Mex food as it's a simple cuisine that relies on the right combination of spices and materials to be both authentic and delicious. We have that nailed here. So for all the tourists looking to be seen in the fancy place dumping loads of money on overpriced and not so good food, keep going down to that place on Main in San Antonio. Otherwise to see what it feels like to be treated and fed like family, go to El Rio in Boerne. Also, don't order more than one margarita without a driver. They go down like Kool aide and are to die for. I will drive across San Antonio and pass all the other places for a plate of enchiladas in Boerne. Atmosphere is authentic and the family run feel is as real as it gets. Don't expect mariachi singers unless you bring a band. This is the real deal. So five stars isn't enough, but they get it easily.“

“Went for lunch on my lunch break, and was served by a wonderful soul that is Samantha! I wasnt sure what to order, so she was very patient and recommended a few house specialties, i ended up ordering a chimichanga. And the food was outstanding but what made the vist much more memorable was the uppity spirit of hers , I left stomach satisfied and and high spirited. 10/10 will definitely be coming back again“

Well, I will be darned, the food was on point! The tortillas were great, and the food tasted fresh and amazing. I will definitely be making the drive out to your restaurant. It's definitely the best mexican food in the Boerne area.“

“I went this Saturday, November 22. 2025. I had seen this restaurant when I went to UPS and told my daughter , lets go try it. It was horrible, I order the onion and tomatoes omelet and hardly any tomatoes but big pieces of onions in it. Bacon that had seen better days, and it didn't taste good. My daughter had the enchiladas and she said nope. We won't be going there again.“

“The food is good but the morning guy in the drive thru today and the last 2 mornings needs to work on his customer service skills. When I ordered he just said Okay so I said that was it for my order he said Okay that's 3.44. I pull up to the window and he said that's 3.44 and then he said do you want salsa, I said no and then he handed me my food and did not say thanks or have a great day. Youth these days really need to learn good customer service skills!“
