“The food was good, though truthfully I didn't think it was anything spectacular. I'm not sure it was the best choice for our first Mexican meal in Texas; there are SO MANY options in the city. I love that they bring both salsa and bean dip to the table. The food arrived quickly and the service was fantastic. The prices were reasonable. They were doing karaoke while we were there, which was fun to listen to, but it was extremely loud for the size of the restaurant. We could not speak to each other over the noise without yelling. I personally found the noise overwhelming, but others were enjoying themselves and it comes down to personal preference.“
“Jackalyn was our waitress and she is so sweet, all the wait staff was very nice. Breakfast is served all day! Food is simply good, I recommend the 3 crispy tacos, if you don't want a lot. Plenty of parking, located close by to Wonderland mall.“
“The food was spectacular!! This was our first time visiting. When we walked in there was one party standing at what seemed like the front of a line and an employee handed them menus and then gave us a menu, then he disappeared. The party in front of us went to sit down and it was unclear what we were supposed to do next. Eventually we figured out we were supposed to move forward to order before sitting down. Most bakery items were sold out, we were there around 2p, so we ordered the tequila carolina french toast and ranchero eggs benedictine as it was the first time we were eating for the day. We paid and went to sit down. We wanted to try the horchata but it was empty so we stuck with tea. The food came out as it was ready so we didn’t get our food at the same time. There was no salt, pepper, or hot sauce on the table. We asked for hot sauce when the food came for the eggs with the french toast, but no one ever came back with any. There were salt and pepper packets on the coffee stand. The sauce on the ranchero eggs was flavorful and paired well with the pork and fresh bread. But the real winner of this meal was the french toast! The allow croissant used for the bread could’ve been eaten plain. I appreciated the syrup on the side as the dish was very sweet and we could co trim how much syrup we used. The eggs were cooked perfectly but had no seasoning whatsoever. The bacon was also cooked perfectly - slightly crispy, but cooked through. I would recommend the food here 100 times over, but based on my experience, you don’t go here for the service. But do go for the food.“
“Staff was super friendly. Ordered the chicharrón en salsa verde and carne asada quesadillas and they were both very tasty. Not to say those extra sauces were so good. Clean facility, nice ambiance, worth every penny. Will definitely be back.“
“Guys definitely recommend this place. As soon as you come in you see all their cute and artisan tableware. We were greeted by the sweetest server as well. They had big food portions and weren't even able to finish all our food. They make their tortillas and bread at the restaurant. Greatly recommend their tortas they are delicious ? their tacos were huge too! ? they do offer mixed drinks and karaoke after 5 till they close so go on over and show some support to this small bussiness.“
“I found this place on Instagram and am very pleased with our first visit. We came for my husbands birthday and were not disappointed. The food is amazing, the staff was friendly and the drinks were top notch ?. I will definitely be back soon. Try the Aguas Locas.“
“Food is consistently good. Very good flavor and quick service. I enjoy the Baja Fish Tacos the best and get it almost everytime I go. The restaurant is small and nothing special to see but for a quick bite it is a nice stop. The employees have always been very nice and helpful. Highly recommend as a place to go.“
“Yo, listen up! Tacos and Salsa in San Antonio straight-up slayin' the taco game in Bexar County! These tacos ain't playin' around, fam. Each bite's like a flavor explosion, mixin' up legit Mexican spices with the freshest ingredients. Whether you rollin' with classic carne asada or some next-level fish tacos, they got you covered, no cap. And don't even get me started on the salsa—it's fire, fam, straight-up fuego! The vibe in there? Litty, bruh! It's like a party in your mouth, and everyone's invited. When it comes to the best tacos in Bexar County, Tacos and Salsa holds it down, no doubt!“
“A lot of noise, a lot of people... but it's worth it. I like that it is fast service; You order, eat and leave. And the confidence they give you to pay for what you ate, don't lie about how many tacos you grabbed, we all work for something. Ahhh, only once did I get something on my taco and I thought they would give me a discount which didn't happen, but I keep going to that place, no one is perfect.“
“Celebrated a birthday at Domingo this weekend and it was such an amazing experience! The environment was stunning. The staff was extremely attentive and really seemed to enjoy their work. Along with the staff being so great, the food and drinks were even more enjoyable. From appetizers, to entree's and dessert, the entire night was wonderful and I cannot wait to do it again!“
“The food is excellent, especially the mole enchiladas. My only knock on this place is that it's LOUD. Eating in the little dining room is like eating in a New York subway terminal. And to make it even worse they insist on playing loud music. It's SO loud you can't enjoy your food.If you want to have a conversation with your dining partners, try to snag a table in the bar (and when has dining in the bar been quieter than the dining room?) or even better on the patio.Wheelchair accessibility: Most of the restaurants are easily accessible. Unfortunately, there are only two handicapped parking spaces. I'm not sure how they get away with that.“
“As soon as you walk in, they make you feel like family! Small but cozy place . If a big table is available, they will ask you if it's OK to share the extra space with other patrons if they're willing as well before just sitting them down without ask first. Parking is very limited as well, but we have been lucky to get parking! It is a must place to try if you haven't tried it yet!“
“This is one of my favorite spots to get fast, affordable street tacos in San Antonio. If eating there, you order your tacos at the window, sit down to eat, then go to the register to pay after. The restaurant is a bit noisy with loud music and lots of people around, so it may be best for individuals sensitive to noise and chatter to order their tacos to take out. The service is really fast, so make sure you know what you want by the time you get to the window.“
“Well, we’re over from England celebrating my 70th birthday and the meal here this evening was easily the best by far. It will not and cannot be exceeded for the rest of our three week trip. The rib-eye was so well cooked and the mushrooms were elevated to a flavour level that I didn’t think mushrooms could reach. My wife’s fish tacos were equally as wonderful and have been recorded as having reached legendary status. Edward the chef and joint owner has a superb palate and clearly knows how to put a dish together. We’re leaving first thing tomorrow morning. If we weren’t we’d be back. Too late to change our plans. What a shame.Just go and go again. This has been the highlight of dining out not just of this trip but perhaps of all time.“
“Beautiful place. Especially the patio area. They should think of doing something about the doors to the room where the bathrooms are. People get lost so much trying to go out doors that are sometimes open or u pass the side kitchen and bathrooms to get there. Food was ok. Think the cheese might have been bad.Parking: Small lots with signs of restaurant“
“?The only thing I would change is the attitude of the guy who was in the window for drinks. He had the ugliest attitude and RBF when I greeted him and then at the end of our purchase …. Gave us prayer hands and said enjoy…. ???… how are you gunna be rude and have an ugly attitude and then throw prayer hands at the end…… anyways, hope he finds another job cuz I would have enjoyed that place so much more without the fake namaste attitude lol?AND THE DRINKS? Overpriced … 2 drinks came out to roughly $35…. For a kombucha and a 10mg THC drink…. -_-✨However, the ladies at the food truck though… THEY WERE ALL COOL AF. And the food was ON POINT! :)✨“
“This taco truck was absolutely delicious! My husband and I were visiting San Antonio and found this place. Their tacos are amazing, probably some of the best tacos I’ve had in San Antonio. I have not had tacos that good in a long time. The tortillas that they use for their tacos are the cherry on top for me. We tried the tacos with the queso and our choice of filling. Their lemonade was very good too!“
“LOVEEED the elote, they don’t skimp out on the condiments added. Everything was hot and tasted great! I never write reviews but once I had my first bite, I just had to share. We got beef empanadas, elote w/ Cheetos, churros, and agua de Jamaica. Everything came out better than expected and made our afternoon snack trip a delight.“
“Best Birria tacos in town hands down! I drove all the way from Harlingen, after I found out about this amazing restaurant! It was the best Birria tacos I've ever had! The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. The music was even better! The staff is very sweet and attentive! Love love love! Highly reccomend!!!“
“This spot is absolutely delicious. The plating on f the food is beautiful. The service is so friendly and attentive. The portions are huge! I will be coming back to try all the different dishes.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: High chairs available“
“So delicious! We have been looking for a new regular place and this place hit the spot. The owners were so nice and welcoming, we had the enchiladas and the carne guisada which were so good. Tortillas were perfect and the chips and salsa were also delicious. Can’t wait to come back!“
“This is the reason I visit San Antonio. I live for the world’s best Al Pastor, it’s here!! I’ve tried all pastor all over the US, nothing compares. Thank you for your amazing recipe. The strawberry horchata was good. Of course, I will visit each time I’m in San Antonio!!!!“
“Being from Chicago we found this place and OMG these were ?. We ordered individual tacos and by the pound. The best one I had was the pork belly taco. All tacos are huge and can easily make 2 or 3 our of 1 taco. Salsas cilantro and cebollas come on the side. I will definitely recommend ?“
“Cuishe Is Not Tex Mex but authentic interior Mexican food by the folks that own Toro in same complex. Amazing flavors and truly hard to find items like guacamole with bugs...yes bugs crispy and toasty bites of pure protein, even my kiddo loves them! Be adventurous and try a taste of something new and authentic...ps great for date night with best tequila happy hour in SA!“
“Our new favorite taco truck in San Antonio. We found it completely by accident and are so glad we did. The food is amazing and the service is fast. We had the pastor and asada which were both really good and the green salsa is bomb! Definitely recommend and will be returning soon.“
“When we walked in we were greeted by Tay she was nice and answered all the questions we had as it was our first time. Adara was sweet and remade one of our items and brought it out and apologized for the miss hap. Over all it was a great experience and we know next time we can share because it was ALOT of food!!“
“OMG this place is an amazing place to eat. Their specials are very affordable. The food is so delicious the kindness of EVERYONE ? are ALWAYS ? smile's. You NEVER need to get up to get a refill or coffee or tea. They don't have to but they ALWAYS give our Granddaughter cookies on the way out. It's a great place.Kid-friendliness: ALWAYS makes conversation with us and our Granddaughter. Some mornings our youngest daughter calls me and says Mama you wanna do Nadines??? I'm like yeaaaah. So anyone looking for a down to earth place to eat where you don't have to flag down your waitress for refills or extra tortillas or anything at all it's a wonderful restaurant and we all recommend this place to everyone.“
“The food was hot and delicious. Everything was fresh including the sweet tea. We had the carne enchiladas and chicken flautas. The enchiladas were tender and cheesy with a great tast and not so strong on the spices. The flautas were crispy and chicken was good. The beans were creamy and flavorful. The rice was great and the tortillas were amazing. What's crazy about this visit is that there were no other customers dining in or walked in during the duration of our entire visit. Service was great.“
“Chose this place based on google reviews because we can’t visit San Antonio without having some of the delicious Tex-Mex this area is known for. This place was so much better than 4.4 stars! The menu is extensive including breakfast, specialties and bakery items. The waitress spoke about as much English as I do Spanish and was sweet and attentive. She recommended the pollo flautas. They were traditional and delish! My guy had the pollo asada that was enough for e meals. I was worried he was going to drink the boracho bean liquid he liked it so much.Corn tortillas were some of the best house made I’ve had in years!Definitely give this spot a try. Beer and margaritas available.“
“We'd tried to go here another time but they were closed and I was sad that I didn't get the try it. The building looks like they are closing down but never fret. This time they looked closed but I stuck my head in and asked if they were open and the guy behind the counter said yes so we went in! The guy was also our server and the food was AMAZING!! We will definitely be going back.“
“My family and I love visiting Ernesto’s, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food is absolutely incredible! The service is also unmatched-they are so welcoming and attentive every single time we come in. This restaurant is a gem. I highly recommend the Crabmeat and Shrimp Veracruz and an Ernesto’s Coffee cocktail for dessert (they can make it decaf!)“
“Small place with great food. best service ive had in a long time. Staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Everything its delicious and authentic. It will be 1 of my haunts when im in the area. Highly recommend if you want great food outstanding service and not break the bank.“
“Simple, solid and worth a return. Had the Pollo and Chipotle plate as well as the Beef Fajita platter. Both good. Even though it was busy, service was great too. Hadn't been there in awhile but need to come back soon for my Tex-Mex fix.“
“Absolutely amazing restaurant!Got seated right away even though we didn’t have a reservation, the waitress was very attentive and answered all our questions. The food was delicious, great taste and presentation and love that the water is infused with cucumber and lime! The drinks were spot on! Got El Diablo and Aguamala which had their own unique taste, one gave a kick of spice and the other a Smokey flavor. I would recommend this place for a cute date night or even wanting to try something new!The birria flautas were spot on! Very flavorful and mouth watering“
“First time visiting this place with friends on a Sunday morning. Quick friendly service, food is fresh and delicious. Good value, Great clean atmosphere with the bull themed tables, and a Nice looking vine that grows almost All the way around the dining room. Nitto mosquito ??????? ??️ Yum yum ?“
“Chips and salsa, blah. Salsa was warm and no flavor. First, lunch serving is very small. Chilled Rellano was not traditional, first they brought me chicken instead of picadillo. Then forgot my fork. Did not care for Chille Relleno. Looked like a creamy avacado sauce over the top. I usually judge a Mexican restaurant by its Chille Relleno. They failed.Update, decided try again. I must say, they have the best Cuban I have had in San Antonio. So they now get 4 stars. We will see what's next.“
“My family ate at the original La Fonda Oak Hills when I was growing up.My mom and I tried Maria Bonita and were really pleased.First, MB kept most of the MCM décor. The food and the staff are outstanding.MB's is now my go-to restaurant for Tex-Mex.This place is a gem.“
“Nice little, "hole in the wall". The breakfast tacos are tasty and filling. Most breakfast tacos I've had from other restaurants require a double order, but one egg and bacon taco from Guerkos was plenty filling for me. Good salsa bar too. Good price point for how filling the food was as well.“
“My review is for the cellar wine shop attached to mixtli. I have not yet had the pleasure of dinning at mixtli (a mistake I shall correct soon). The wine shop on site is literally the best one in town and I'm obsessed with how well Hailey does with her recommendations. Seriously, all you have to tell her is the mood and price point you're after and she will hit it out the park. Every single time. Her knowledge is outstanding and I love how she shares the story behind the wine when you stop in. I am now unable to go anywhere else for wine and I'm honestly not mad about it at all.San Antonio needs more places like this in town!!“
“Unexpected treat for my mother's birthday. A table with a great view was already available when we walked in.Our original choice was going to take over an hour wait. Muchas gracias to our waiter Javier again for the wonderful service. The food was also spectacular and authentic.“
“I went Friday night w/ my 17 year old niece, my 2 year old daughter & my mom. Fod is great especially the Gorditas! I absolutely LOVED them!! The Atmosphere, not so much. Totally not a family/ kid friendly type of place. It’s located within the same spot of an outside bar. There is no restrooms pretty much unless your 21+ or else your going to need to drive down the street. Besides that, GREAT GORDITAS :)!!“
“The owner and staff know that food is love . Very friendly and welcoming actually making the good taste better. Love the chicken fried steak and onion rings. My wife loves the Green chicken enchiladas. Parking can be hard but it's worth the trouble. Better is a dinner of bitter herbs where love is then a feast where hatred is.“
“This is one of my favorite places in the city. I've been coming here for 20+ years and I've always had excellent service, great food, and the best thing of all Chispas! They treat you like family and they believe in quality. You can't go wrong at Soluna.“
“Have visited this restaurant on several occasions for breakfast! Tried several different dishes and all have been tasty. Their breakfast plates and tacos are very good! I did try the menudo here and I was not a fan. Lacked some flavor and no hominy. The menu did say it came with hominy. Also, they didn't serve the chocolate sauce anymore with the churros, but churros still delicious!“
“They do one thing, and they do it well. The al pastor tacos are cooked correct and they are the same size as you would find on a street cart in Mexico. They have Coke in a glass bottle and they found a way to make Flan even more delicious that usual, adding cajeta should be the new standard!! I'll be back every time I'm in town!!“
“Currently on a quest to find the finest tacos in the Northwest/West region. I've have tried numerous options, and so far these currently stand out as the best. The prices are quite reasonable, and the campechana tacos with the green sauce are simply delicious. The frijoles charros are really tasty too.“
“Found another hidden gem here on culebra and Ingram rd. In a shopping center. I ordered mini asada tacos, I wanted the plate but miss communication on my part and just got the tacos. They were very flavorful and good. Came with cilantro and onion. Salsa was hot and good as well. Place is very clean, service was fast and they speak English and Spanish. You can order to go or you can sit down and eat. I will visit again and next time try their beans and rice. If you are in the area you can check them out. You won’t be disappointed !“
“Great place to go. You can feed one to a family of four. Not much to choose from which makes it easier. There are burgers and fries for the kids but the name of the place is what you go for. My go to is the meal for two people with half a chicken, beef fajitas half a pound, and a sausage. Yum! Along with it is a side of charro beans, rice, and corn tortillas. I’m not a drinker so for those looking for a beer and dinner this is not the place for it. Family friendly. They do have two locations on Culebra, the newer place is less busy. Must check it out. I think the food is moderately priced. The meal for two, I pay $30 before tip.I’ll post a pic if I find one. I forgot to take one when I was there for dinner 7/25/23.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and noise is welcome.Parking: If it’s busy remember there is another location maybe six blocks down the road on Culebra and Colorado.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy accessible parking and entrance.“
“Absolutely the best place around 410 and marbach, I drive 10 min just to sit in their cool lobby, good music and vibeService is great they go out of their way to make sure your order is on pointDefinitely would recommend if your in the area or visiting San “
“Went here to pick up some food online ordering was super convenient as soon as we arrived we were handed our food in drive thru. Arrived home our food was still hot the quesabirria were amazing!!! I had been looking for a go to place for birria and finally found it hubby got mini tacos and those were also so good! They had all the fixings and were stuffed. Will be going back!! Prices are also very reasonable 10/10“
