“Haven’t been there in a few years. Went there this evening. The burgers, fries, and Texas toothpicks were great. The only thing I had a problem with was we went and sat at a table on the upper deck so we could talk because there was no one up there and the lower deck was crowded. Just after we sat down two employees came up and started to drag all the tables and chairs around. Being heavy wooden tables and chairs all they could do was drag them across the floor making a lot of noise. This went in for about fifteen minutes then just as it got quiet again they started doing it in the lower deck. Was impossible to hold a conversation.”

“We’ve been coming to Walk-on’s monthly, sometimes weekly, since they opened during the pandemic. This weekend, we decided to try another restaurant that opened recently with a very similarly-themed name. We were so unimpressed, and inadvertently compared our whole experience to Walk-on’s, which we seem to frequently do. Walk-on’s is consistently great. The service, the food, the bar drinks, all great. Everything is decently priced. I feel like the waitstaff is unique. We’ve never had bad service, even in the busiest times (which we try to avoid but in a college town, that’s sometimes unavoidable). There are lots of great options on the menu and the skinny margarita is one of the best in town. Consistently good, clean, great staff and just a really well-rounded restaurant.”

The staff helped arrange a surprise flight of special bourbons for my husband, and the owner came and chatted with us about bourbon and whisky. It was a very memorable evening!”

“Highly recommend! My husband and I were in town for our 5th wedding anniversary and looked online for a new place to eat dinner. So glad that we chose Le Petit Cochon. We had drinks, an appetizer, salad, and dinner. Planned on dessert but we were too full. Everything was beyond delicious and plated beautifully. Our waiter Travis was amazing, the other staff were kind, and they were patient in bringing the next course until we were ready. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was a great place for a new experience and date.”

“When I walked in, there was another rude customer who came in before me who demanded his tip back because the employees didn’t break company policy for him. The lady at the front (I can’t recall her name) handled the customer with such grace and kindness and was honest throughout the entire process, despite how rude she was to him. That is exactly the type of people that deserve to be shouted out and praised for their hard work and gentle spirit in spite of rudeness and hostility.”

“The moment we walked in the door we were greeted so kindly. We were a little intimidated with the menu as they were foods we have never tried but Julie our waitress was literally superb! She walked us through the menu from drinks to eats and she was just so knowledgeable in what we shared what we liked and the chef hit the nail on the head with all the amazing flavors in the food, we definitely will be coming back to this place on our future date nights.”

“Their traditional Chinese spicy chicken is really good. It uses sechuan pepper which is this interesting spice that isn't actually a pepper and it makes your mouth tingle. Anyway, I haven't had any of their other food but I highly recommend that dish.”

“The handles on the doors to this McDonald’s are cold to the touch and stiff. As soon as I walk in, my mind is set on that beautiful, luscious, smooth macho chicken sandwich. It’s so beautiful on the pictures on the menu proudly displayed above the heads of the McEmployees who handle all that moolah. I’m telling ya, the dollar amount per calorie is low, which translates to lots of calories per dollar. I feel good at this point. Then I hear the beautiful sound of my name called out—as a number like a prisoner. Then I get my sandwich, wrapped like one of those presents in tissue paper. I’m usually hungry enough by this point that I’ve forgotten what my McChicken was supposed to look like, feel like, and ultimately be like. It’s like one of those jokes where the devil is recruiting one day and then you’re staff. Except that it tastes alright. Well, anything is delicious when you’re hungry enough. The serving portions are too small so people won’t go supersize with one. So I usually have to order two. When it’s all over, I can contemplate my life decisions. Hence the review. At least I’m usually in good company among all the engineering students who frequent this McEatery. Then I leave. This time I can push the door which flings wide open albeit with a good amount of torque required. Maybe some lubricant would help. Some hand soap that smells good would also be appreciated.”

“This is a 3.5 star establishment. Reason being price has gotten expensive. 4 meals 2 drinks 68 dollars that includes a tip. Food is good but quantity is lacking. Their po boy was the worst entre we got today. My NewkQ was good daughters Italian sandwich was 2nd best and the Turkey Avocado was 3rd. Lobster bisque has great flavor not very filling. We like Newks, but it's pricing it's way off our family dining, if I spend 60 dollars at Jersey Mike's I would come home with way more food.”

Also wanted to share how beautiful the cook was on the fried chicken dumplings I ordered yesterday. Everything was delicious, affordable and filling. I fell in love with Korean cuisine after living in South Korea for a year and this is the most authentic tasting Korean restaurant I’ve found in years. So glad I found the hidden gem that is Choi’s Restaurant. You guys will be seeing alot of me. It makes me sad to see negative reviews about wait times when the food is so good. I would just recommend eating here when you have time to spare or suck it up.”

“We went to masters donuts the other day after Shirley’s was closed due to the freeze. The selection of breakfast options; tacos, burritos, sandwiches, and kolaches was unmatched compared to Shipleys. The young man who took our order even included some donut holes with out glazed donuts. The food was delicious and we went back everyday this weekend to get breakfast. Everytime we have gone the food has been great quality and filling. The prices are extremely reasonable and you get quite a bit of food for just $10. I cannot wait to go back!”

“We finally gave this place a shot, and wow! I hadn’t eaten pupusas in a while and totally forgot how good they are. My wife and I each got two, and I would have ordered more if my wallet wasn’t screaming, “No more, please!” I’ll definitely be coming back just for pupusas to go. Those things might be my new food obsession.

The plates we got were okay but nothing amazing. My wife got three loaded chicken tacos, and I had the fried chicken with plantains. The chicken was a bit dry, but the plantains were really good. The waitress was super nice and explained some of the menu since it’s mostly in Spanish. Without her, we would have been totally lost. Also, the menu is huge, so we took a while to decide.

The place itself is small and crowded with tiny tables, but that is exactly the kind of vibe you get at an authentic Salvadoran restaurant. The chef (and owner?) checked on us a couple of times, and you could tell he really cared about us liking the place. That kind of attention is rare.

It’s a bit pricey, especially for lunch. So like I said earlier, your best bet is to get a bunch of pupusas at $3.49 each. Honestly, three or four of those would have been filling enough and cheaper than the big plates.

Bottom line: Pupusas are the real stars here!”

“Beef rib was huge and so good. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, huge dining, turf area outside with porch seating. Full bar and huge dining with televisions. The sides were amazing…cream corn, twice baked potatoes, oh and the desserts, so good! Cobblers and Blue Bell. Homemade banana pudding too! Best part…the meat includes pinto beans, bread and all the fixings! There is something for everyone…including frozen margaritas!”

He went above and beyond by giving us more than half off our order since it was our first time—a gesture that really made our day.
