“Haven’t been there in a few years. Went there this evening. The burgers, fries, and Texas toothpicks were great. The only thing I had a problem with was we went and sat at a table on the upper deck so we could talk because there was no one up there and the lower deck was crowded. Just after we sat down two employees came up and started to drag all the tables and chairs around. Being heavy wooden tables and chairs all they could do was drag them across the floor making a lot of noise. This went in for about fifteen minutes then just as it got quiet again they started doing it in the lower deck. Was impossible to hold a conversation.“

“We’ve been coming to Walk-on’s monthly, sometimes weekly, since they opened during the pandemic. This weekend, we decided to try another restaurant that opened recently with a very similarly-themed name. We were so unimpressed, and inadvertently compared our whole experience to Walk-on’s, which we seem to frequently do. Walk-on’s is consistently great. The service, the food, the bar drinks, all great. Everything is decently priced. I feel like the waitstaff is unique. We’ve never had bad service, even in the busiest times (which we try to avoid but in a college town, that’s sometimes unavoidable). There are lots of great options on the menu and the skinny margarita is one of the best in town. Consistently good, clean, great staff and just a really well-rounded restaurant.“

“Very cool bar and grill that has a lot of character. Would be a great place to have a beer and burger. Has some pool tables and lots of old west decor. Really liked all the carving by customers into the wood work, as it gives it a unique look. Not sure if it's encouraged, but maybe bring a jackknife and ask first.. The ice tea was excellent and the burger was good. Very dark inside. Could use the ceiling redone as it's seen better days. Worthing going to just to check it out.“

“Cheddar has multiple locations throughout Texas. We visited the College Station location while visiting family members. It was noon, so it was not full. The food was good, but it took way too long to serve. The kids were hungry, affecting the table mood. The waiter was sorry, but he was dependent on the kitchen. Besides the food delay, the experience was good.“

“This company goes above and beyond on customer service. I had my son pick up an order for our Christmas Party and they forgot to give him the side orders. The store was closed by the time I got home, sent in a contact form on line and within 2 hours they had the sides delivered at my front door. And they threw in a cheesecake! I have never had a business go out of their way the way they did. I highly recommend them!!! Thank you so much for fulfilling my order. We will be regular customers!“

“This was our first time eating here. We were in town for the weekend and found this spot on Google. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived, so there was plenty of seating. You order over the counter, then grab your table.
The staff was friendly and answered my wife's questions with a smile. That's always a plus.
I ordered Chicken & Waffles, my wife ordered a Kale Salad(she's Vegan) and Dragon Fries, my son wanted Chicken Tenders w/Mac & Cheese and my daughter just wanted fries.
The food arrived quickly and looked very tasty. Portions were good sized. My plate was pretty good, I especially liked how the Waffles were cooked. They tasted great as did the chicken. Everything else we ordered was pretty good too. The Dragon Fries definitely had a kick to them but not overbearing.
The restaurant itself was clean and well kept. The tables were bussed quickly which is always good. If you have children, this is a definitely a family oriented restaurant. Parking definitely isn't an issue either, more than enough spots.
We'd definitely come back. There was some other items I saw that sounded pretty good. If you're hungry and in the area, The Cookshack wint let you down.“
