“Go here. If you go anywhere to eat in DFW area, let it be this place. The first true farm to table restaurant that puts its heart and soul into everything they make. We were blown away by every cocktail and dish we had, but the star of the show was the Tea Braised Pig Tails (pictured below). As a farmer and a butcher, I have no idea where they source these magical, massive pig tails, but they are 100% the best tasting thing I've put in my mouth in Dallas since we came. In all my (16 total) years in bars and restaurants, I've never been more impressed by a single bartender. This guy is lacto fermenting, dehydrating, infusing, & manipulating different ingredients in incredible ways that deserve as much credit as the kitchen. Honestly, the combination of a passionate chef and a passionate bartender make this place hands down the best spot in DFW. I wish more places were ethically sourcing ingredients and using more of the animals they serve, as this place has so perfectly achieved. If they were closer, I'd probably be trying to do business with them in some manner.“

“I recently had a wonderful date night with my boyfriend at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess and promptly seated. Our waiter, Jacy, was amazing and helped us choose our cocktails while explaining everything on the menu in detail. When our food arrived, it was absolutely delicious. I’ve never had such a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this place!“

“Absolutely loved this place! The drinks were fantastic—my saki and gin cocktail was a standout, and my friend’s rye and pumpkin drink was both unique and delicious. The food was equally impressive. The wagyu hot dogs on rye bread were unbelievable, and the local roasted vegetables, pasta, and tacos were all perfectly prepared and flavorful. Definitely recommend for a girls brunch or for family! Nice atmosphere if you want to dress up a little too. They have a small indoor balcony perfect for you and a girlfriend to share secrets or a romantic date with your boo.

The drinks were tasty, the appetizers were a perfect starter, and the main dishes didn't disappoint.

“My god, we love D.L. Macks. We saw it on Instagram and my boyfriend put it on our list. We were passing through the area and decided to stop by.

Firstly, we love the space. It was a modern take on an old school vibe. So good.

For the food, we ordered their Chicken Parm and the Cheese Tortellini with the creamy pesto sauce. The Chicken Parm came with the spicy rigatoni. The chicken was incredible, but the spicy rigatoni was just okay. It looks better than it tastes. It wasn’t bad, just kind of lackluster.

The Cheese Tortellini, however, was incredible. We were OBSESSED. It’s very rich, but man if you like rich, get it. I paired it with a Dirty Martini, for no other reason than I love Dirty Martinis, and it was perfect. My boyfriend liked his drinks as well - they made a very strong margarita.

Their mozzarella bites were so good and the Caesar salad was unique. I would likely skip the salad next time.

We can’t wait to go back and try the other items. Their sandwiches look incredible. So does the pizza.“

“The food was delicious! And so creative! One of my friends had pork chops brined in sweet tea. I can't even remember the name of the type of mushroom in my vegan entree - and I've been a vegan almost 30 years! The food is also locally sourced. The clientele was very ethnically diverse - a pleasant surprise given our group was as well. The decor includes plates decorated by the interns with personal messages. And most importantly, most of the people working there are the interns - young people who have experienced multiple traumas who are changing the trajectory of their lives in such positive ways. I highly recommend Cafe Momentum!“

“I decided to try this restaurant since it was only seven minutes from my hotel. The food was delicious! Everything on the menu is à la carte, so no sides come with your meal, no matter what you order. However, it was well worth the price! I had the mushrooms, fried fish, steak fries, and a tomato and crouton salad that wasn’t on the menu. I also ordered a bottle of wine.“

“It has been many years since I have had the pleasure of dining at The Zodiac Room. When I worked downtown this was our place to celebrate. We live in the suburbs but it was worth the drive in to do a little shopping and enjoy this beautiful restaurant. I took my Mother for an early Mother's Day celebration. Ashley - the manager (formerly bar tender extraordinaire) has become a friend. (No we aren't drunks or even weekly or monthly regulars.) But we converse she remembers us.

The atmosphere is light, conversational, (no loud music), can watch a couple of games, and the good is outstanding. There are some standards on the menu, but they always mix things up with a special and the occasional revised menu.

It's a place we can always take friends because it's consistently delicious.“

“This once was a favorite restaurant for me but sadly its seen better days, I built a lot of memories here. But this evening was the most horrible restaurant experience that I have ever had in all of Dallas. The manager by the name of XAVIER half way into our meal stated that DRAKES by order of the owner HUNTER POND has a time limit in their dining experience. XAVIER was rude, hurried and condescending while there were several empty tables on a wednesday night He obviously knows nothing about customer service but was evidently made a manager by Mr Pond because he drives the numbers by chasing guests out of the restaurant to create capacity. The quality of the food has gone down substantially and the management in place knows nothing about quality service. Going out to dinner and spending a considerable amount of money should not be accompanied by rude uncouth service in the most hurried manner and complimented with very mediocre food and terrible service. I would not recommend this restaurant at any level. I am personally very sad to see Drakes in this light. I would like a personal call from Mr. Pond himself. Service: 0 Food: Mediocre“

However the eclectic clientele, and funky beats keep the Vibes fresh daily. So tonight we were able to go on a date night for the first time in over a year and I happened to find this restaurant on accident looking for a different one. THE. BEST. mistake I’ve ever made. I got a reservation for the patio area and it did not disappoint. It’s quiet and cozy with a great view of the restaurant interior and we were off to the races at that point. The gentleman who took care of us tonight was a younger guy by the name of Elliott. While he told us he was new to The Porch, you would have never known. His knowledge of the menu was incredible and we didn’t have a question he couldn’t answer. The food was unparalleled and while I would say at this point that you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu: I will absolutely vouch for the food we got that I would say are must try dishes. -Cornbread Fritters -basically hushpuppies made with cornbread, jalapeño and cheddar cheese then deep fried and served with a spicy mayo. (Don’t let the dip fool you. Neither of us are mayo fans. But I would buy an entire jar of that) -Giant Handmade pretzel. It’s as advertised. -Shortrib Stroganoff…this was my dinner and it was incredible. It’s exactly what you think. It’s a stick to the ribs, hearty meal that will fill you up or give you leftovers for a day or two. -The Standard Burger…again. As advertised. It is THE standard. And be ready, you will need both hands and a fork lift to eat it. If you like pickles, the bread and butter pickles are hands down the best pickles I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The drinks were fantastic as well. I always use an old fashioned to gage the bar and restaurant. It exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Folks, you can’t go wrong here. I would highly recommend The Porch to anyone to try. My wife snd I will be back as frequently as we can. The management is incredible and so is the whole experience! You won’t be disappointed.“

“I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed this place since going there since 2018 or 2019. I’ve always been a fan of this bar.

I’ve moved to multiple residing cities since I’ve been back in Texas and I always find my way back to this bar. I live in Oklahoma now. But I’m close to the Texas border and I made my way to Dallas just so I can eat here again.

Their drinks are delicious. But their food has always been phenomenal to say the least.

Their fish and chips is to die for.

I remember when they had bacon mayo and it was sooooooo good. Unfortunately it was discontinued some years ago.

But I still manage to come by this place every now and then. Definitely one of my favorite Dallas spots.“

Our server, Raoul, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make it a special evening--from a card signed by the staff to a birthday candle + complimentary night cap, we truly felt honored and celebrated. Cocktails were excellent and there were so many delicious-looking dishes on the menu it was hard to choose! We landed on the rabbit pappardelle and a duck leg special, both of which were cooked to perfection and plated beautifully. Yard House prepares their food with tender love and care, and flavors that keep customers returning for more. Their service is welcoming, informative, and highly attentive.
