“I ordered 1 pound of moist cut brisket trimmed today my first time to visit. When I got home, I was very surprised at how small the slices were. The flavor was very good and the brisket, the baked beans are very good but loaded with sugar, very sweet Mixed with little small shavings of brisket which brought out the flavor, but still too much sugar. Also ordered the jalapeño sausage, which was great. But what shocked me the most was when I asked to look at a piece of pecan pie. They wanted five dollars for a very Small piece of pecan pie. That was not much bigger than a hostess Twinkie. I’m not joking Once went into a local store to do business, I asked them about the brisket house and they said it’s good but they were very expensive. That is very true. They are really very expensive. I was totally surprised at how small the slices of brisket were compared to other barbecue places in the vicinity, but overall the flavor was really good, but still it was very overpriced. The local People even said to me before I went there be prepared to pay a lot of money for what you get because they are highly expensive and I found this to be very true. The main reason that they do such a big volume of business is because they live very close to the local refineries and chemical plants and a lot of of companies employees go there to eat they pay for their meals and their supervisors usually pay for their meals because they get reimbursed so price means nothing to the Big companies but to the overall public people such as myself I could afford it but pricewise it still is very expensive. Very nice people very clean inside and out from what I could see you can’t see the kitchen compared to Rudy’s barbecue where you can see everything in league city But I live in Pasadena and by the time I drive to league city and back I would end up spending more money, but at Rudy’s they weigh their barbecue right in front of you at the register so you know how much you’re getting exactly to the pound, plus ounce Overall I guess it was pretty good. I’m stuffed right now and will probably sleep very good tonight. I will go there again, but it was a total joke that they were selling such small pieces of a pecan pie for five bucks a slice, which was equivalent as I mentioned earlier to a hostess Twinkie I’m not joking!“

“I got invited to try out a new BBQ place for lunch and Flossies BBQ did not disappoint. The flavors were good and meat was tender. Don't know how I made it home without pulling over to eat my new BBQ places best stuffed potato. Just look at it! You won't be disappointed!“

“I use to drive from Lufkin and only eat at Pappas on 59, they had the best BBQ in town. Moved to Houston and I live next to a Pappas on the East and was surprised how it has changed from my first experience. So what happened? Just fire the management on East and get someone who focuses on quality, and better staff performance; we still need DEI to get the job done. The staff/management -haven’t the clue about the brand and the high standards you expect as a 5 star BBQ establishment. I’m going to return but Do better! I will give a 5 star because it has potential to reaching top quality with teaching and coaching. Create a quality person to inspect all food prior to delivering to customers. Top notch parking a security, always clean on the outside, and has great lighting.“

We ordered the chopped brisket sandwiches; which were filled with of meat and perfectly cooked. Brisket was juicy and had a good smoke taste without the overpowering rub spice. I was lucky to have received a few pieces of burnt ends on my sandwich, which enhanced my enjoyment. I highly recommend Tony’s BBQ at the Laporte location.“

“Second time at this location that I was not impressed by the service. My dad loves Longhorn Steaks so for his 73rd birthday this is where we went. The server was very friendly however when he delivered our steaks he delivered the bill at the same time then never returned again to check on us until we were done. I told the hostess and our server that we were celebrating my dad's birthday. As the server, wouldn't you assume on a birthday that we'd also want dessert? It wasn't even mentioned.
Even if it wasn't his birthday it is incredibly rude to deliver the bill at the same time as the main course and never check on us again. I think we'll be crossing this Longhorn off our list of places to go.“
