“First, we were late and I don't want to encourage being late, but it's the truth and we walked in at exactly 15 minutes after. The staff saw my frazzled self as I apologetically explained and they said not to worry. They'd take care of us. I'm not gonna lie, we were seated and still frustrated with ourselves and our waitress managed to make us feel warm and welcomed and totally calmed us down with her understanding and calm manner. From there on, we enjoyed a wonderful selection of dishes. The first was the fire roasted tomatoes with burrata. It's too good to describe. I had the lobster scampi this time and omg it was delicious. My husband always has the red fish which is favorite and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you, Red Ash, for understanding and making us feel so welcomed and thank you to our waitress, whose name I can't recall, for soothing us.“

“My family stumbled onto Mandola’s ItalianKitchen in Odessa Florida. What a delightful restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was excellent. We were greeted at the door by the manager, Chris. He explained how the restaurant ordering and seating worked. We ordered at the counter, where the young woman patiently took our order, clarifying along the way. The wine selection for the casual environment was impressive. We were given a table number and we found a seat. Immediately someone brought warm focaccia bread and Italian oil to dip it in. Our food arrived at our table surprisingly quick. The portions were huge (luckily we were provided to-go boxes when we were ready to leave) The servers were friendly and professional. The chefs were visible as they prepared the food. Our used dishes were removed promptly as we finished one course after another. Then Chris, the manager who first greeted us, came to our table to ensure that our experience had been not just satisfactory, but excellent. Which it was! We are putting Mandola’s Odessa on our favorite restaurant list for when we return to Tampa. Thank you!“

“The pizza was fire. I had the shallots and Serranos and it had a solid level of heat but not too overpowering. Crust could have been slightly crispier but no significant flop so I was still very pleased with it. Highly recommend trying this pie but also adding sausage to it next time. I also hear their Caesar salad wrap available for lunch on weekdays is excellent as well“

I was honestly surprised not to see Juniper listed in the Michelin Guide. Compared to several Michelin-listed restaurants I’ve visited, Juniper delivers stronger dishes and more polished service. I believe Juniper would be a strong candidate for a Bib Gourmand, and with some refinement and stronger standout desserts, even a potential star.

Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend, and I’m already looking forward to returning.“

“I have been craving some good pasta and did a Google search for places nearby. I learned that this is a family business and the person helping me was so nice. Even gave me a sample of something they're working on. I would have taken pictures but I ate everything because it was incredible. The rigatoni was my favorite. “The bar with dance floor and billiards was open but the food truck was closed when we stopped by with a 5yr old after leaving the airport around 10pm. Asked the lady at the bar if it was too late for food and she said no problem, she can run out to the truck and make us some tacos. Great asada street tacos. Jess was our server and was incredibly attentive - you could also tell she really knew the menu which was so helpful. “Give Bufalina their Due! What an excellent experience all around.

The parking is a little tricky and there tends to be a little wait during happy hour, but trust me - it’s all worth it. This is high quality food made with expertise and love. Many of their major ingredients like the mozzarella cheese are made by a professional in-house and it absolutely shows.

The big stand-outs of our meal were the fried mozzarella and the vanilla ice cream. Yes - I did say vanilla ice cream. Don’t knock it until you try it. It’s also made in-house by a pro.

We also ordered the Talarico pizza and rigatoni pasta - everything was packed with flavor. The mozzarella started us out strong but the entrees still delivered.

We will definitely be coming back.“
