The food is excellent, especially the brisket kolaches and the breakfast tacos, the donuts are always fresh and delicious, and the service is outstanding! The people who work here are incredibly lovely, friendly, and so kind. The prices are very fair too!

“Aun is doing something right. This is the quintessential hometown donut shop that not only delivers delicious food, but a sense of community and camaraderie. The sweet smell of fresh donuts hits you instantly upon entering. Don’t get me wrong, this place is no frills; what you see is what you get, but what you get is damn good. The kolaches are pillowy soft and the donuts melt in your mouth. I understand why their parking lot is always full whenever I drive by.“

“Lady is a super sweet heart the guy that works there needs some work with his demeanor their hours are just a mere suggestion because I went in at 5:30 sign says they open at 5:00 but the guy that was there would not help me he ignored mebut every other time I've been in there mid morning it seems to be okay but if you go too early or too late you're not getting much of a selection“

“We have been coming to this place for over a decade. We have since moved out of state, but every time we come to the area we have to go. Have yet to find donuts and kolaches as good anywhere else with a great price and friendly service. Their glazed donuts are hands down the best, and so are their kolaches.“

“Everyone knows that finding delicious GF sweets is hard to do, but CAMBO comes close! I tried her GF donuts (plain, blueberry, & chocolate), which you can get without the glaze (!!!)-I went fully glazed and warmed up and the donuts were great. I also tried the jalapeno & cheese kolache (GF and Keto Friendly), and the sausage was tasty but the bread part was meh, and they are small. On the plus side, nutritional info for Keto is available on the glass, so it is convenient. My kiddos enjoyed donut holes and loved the star shaped donuts instead of the traditional circle donut. My husband really liked the powdered sugar donut and said it reminded him of a beignet (he is from NOLA) and also got the boudin kolache which he said was good.“

“I would say that this is a hidden gem but it's really a gem that MANY people know and visit...just off the beaten path a little. It happens to be on our bike route, so we often stop then as well as anytime wifey and I head out of town. Very friendly "staff" (family) and always clean. Food is great (coffee good too). I'm a kolache person, so they have a good selection. Seating is adequate as well.“

“I always get the sausage biscuit- the bread is a mix between donut and biscuit and so good. Fresh egg that I am lucky enough to get still warm as early as I go! Once they gave me a dozen donuts to bring to the nurses when my mom was in the hospital. I will continue to come here as long as they are open. The donuts are fantastic. Lo and behold, less than half a mile from our house, Dear Donut Man was there for us to check out! I’ve NEVER had a donut better than their cinnamon sugar donut. “I live in Ireland and I ordered doughnuts from Ashley’s through Uber Eats to be delivered to my dad (who lives in Clear Lake) for his 70th birthday! I mentioned in the order it was for a birthday and the very kind people at Ashley’s went above and beyond writing Happy Birthday messages on the package and even making a little handmade card! They threw in some extra doughnuts and even packaged one separately decorated with a birthday candle!! In these harder times Ashley’s has provided amazing service and made a birthday surprise feel extra special! Thank you and we will be sure to visit in person again when we can!! If you're able to, or haven't tried it yet, then you should go really soon after they open and try a super fresh hot glazed because they are amazing. The iced donuts are also great and the chocolate filled taste delicious, and are my personal favorite.“
