“Celebrated our anniversary at Truluck’s and it was wonderful. Greeted and escorted to our decorated table and introduced to our server Juan, who was attentive and gracious. The manager stopped by our table 4 times to make sure everything was perfect. It was! All the food ( shrimp cocktail.crab cakes, trout almandine and drinks) were perfect plus the were beautifully presented. The big surprise was a Complimentary flaming baked Alaskan which was delicious. It had coffee and vanilla ice cream with chocolate cake - the combination was outstanding. Highly recommend.“

“I was in Dallas on business, staying at the Westin a few blocks away. It was my last night, I was tired, had an early flight in the morning, and just wanted a quick meal to take back to the room. A quick search showed this fried catfish spot nearby… so yeah, say less. I walked in expecting a basic neighborhood carry-out, but instead was greeted with some of the best service I’ve had in a while which was totally unexpected. It wasn’t fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and had good music playing. It was a good vibe so decided to eat in at the bar. I didn’t catch her name but the bartender was so nice and kindly walked me through the menu. I ordered a glass of wine and the 2-piece fillet basket. Good Lord, that fish was HOT and delicious! And when I say “fillet,” I mean a full piece of fish not broken up little scraps. Two big pieces were definitely more than enough, but it was so good I ate every bite. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip and will be telling my Dallas office this is the spot! Thanks for the great experience and wishing you all the best in your new location!“

“My family and I stopped by Royal Fried Seafood and Grill when we were in Cedar Hill for a family reunion. The service was 10/10 and the food was absolutely amazing. My 7 year old son absolutely said this was the best food we had the entire trip, and though we’re foodies, my husband and I agreed! We’re already craving it again now that we’re back in Kansas! If we ever find ourselves back in the area, this WILL be on our list of stops! A true gem!“

My gluten-sensitive husband ordered their daily special of loaded fried that were topped with steak, shrimp, and lobster. The garlic aioli was a bit strong, but tasty! “What a divine meal!!! With so many options available in downtown Dallas, I cannot recommend this location enough. The service from Yacin A was phenomenal as he was attentive, kind, and extremely knowledgeable of both the menu and our needs. Jeff, one of the partnering managers stopped by our table to make sure our needs were met. Drinks were plentiful and and tasty. The scallops were divine as was the Gorgonzola crusted bone in NY strip. Our waiter informed us of the ability to order half portions of the cream corn with bacon and the au gratin potatoes. All sides were very tasty and plentiful as the half portions were more than sufficient for two people. Desert was also top notch, a flourless chocolate cake and a pancotta cheesecake. This place is extremely recommended and one should run, not walk to this location and prepare for a truly remarkable dining dinner experience.

Also: The atmosphere was decadent. Extremely clean and decorated well for the Holidays. Parking is easy in the self parking at the Crescent hotel/parkade. The restaurant also validates parking which is a nice bonus perk! Please do yourself a favor and dine here.

PS: Rock G was a great host and Jose made sure our waters remained full and the bread was warm and plentiful. Bonus points to Jose for boxing up the left overs and making sure they made it home with us.“
