“We stopped here on our way back to Oklahoma from South padre. The atmosphere is really nice. I had the pulled pork burger with French fries and Mac & Cheese. All tasted amazing. Our waitress was attentive and nice. The food was super fast getting to our table.“

“This was my first stop in San Antonio from Austin! I ordered a ton of food, it made for amazing leftovers two days in a row. I came around lunch on a Friday and waited only 15 min in line. They were already sold out of several items after being open an hour. I paid around $50 with a drink and before tip:
Positives- Pictured is the pork belly, brisket, pork ribs, mac, and street corn. The pork belly was easily the star of the show! It had some sort of sesame sauce on it, it was heavenly. The mac and cheese was also a top contender. It had a unique flavor unlike any Mac I’ve ever had before, almost like earthy. It paired really well with the meal. Also the STAFF was A+! Very friendly and seemed to take pride in their work
Critical- Facility could use some improvements. The parking lot has huge pot holes. I was so glad they had a small indoor dining area but it was still stuffy and not too comfortable to eat in. I get that it’s a no frills place but it wouldn’t hurt to invest in some small renovations. Many people ate outside but there was no shade and it was super hot that day. Small improvements could enhance the dining experience.

The service is always amazing, the staff is so kind and the food is delicious and has fair pricing. It’s worth it to eat here vs a chain restaurant.
My family and I’d top favorites are the Pad Thai, Vegetable Soup, Spring Rolls, Summer Rolls and Yakisoba Noodles.“

“My food was delicious I ordered the Plato Mexicano and everything was delicious except the beans tasted a little burned. I ordered a Blue Milagro margarita which was very tasty.
**Update- this is still one of my favorite places to eat Mexican food. The enchiladas were nice and cheesy but the rice has always been my go to. On top of that I love how they bring us chips and salsa before we even order our drinks.“

“Had dinner last night saw that it closed at 8:00 Husband and I really wanted to try but it being 7:30 we thought we were really pushing it hoping we didn't get the really they decided to come right before we're closing type of attitude but nope we were graciously welcomed. There was a small wait time 15mins because There was a full house. Im being observant looking at other customers plates as they were being brought out to see if they were made sloppy and rushed because it was at the end of their day and they WERE NOT!!! Every plate I saw had the Most perfect presentation. We had a salad with our meal and our greens and veggies were bright and crisp. husband had the fisherman's platter I had the chicken fried chicken plate and everything was delicious Even down to the sauces for his plate and the gravies for mine. The service was beyond extraordinary!!! highly highly recommend!!!“

“This is my old neighborhood but never saw this place before . I live in Kirby . Had a great meal , my soft chicken tacos were delicious ..My husband had enchiladas , he liked them ..just not crazy about carne Guisada gravy on them . It should be homemade enchilada sauce , Traditional .. I hope that changes ..We still enjoyed it n will return ..Loved the service . T you .“

“Went today for breakfast at 6:10 am. Waited till 6:15 at drive thru , no one answered, drove up to drive thru window ,there were 3 employees that saw me and walked away. I thought they open at 6 am. If they weren't ready they could have let me know instead of walking away. Very unprofessional, I frequent place alot after I get off at work at 6 am and never have had that treatment. I will never go to another las palapas again. Or will recommend anyone to them again.“

“This place is very standard. The food is good and the staff is attentive. Prices are not bad either.
Only drawback is that if you order ahead they won't accept it if it's more than $30. But I guess they've gotten burned by other people not picking up their food before.“

“It's called Vallarta Taco now I believe (Jamitos Taquitos sign is still up even when it was called Patty's 2). Delicious breakfast tacos and plates. Love those handmade tortillas. The waitress and cashiers are alway very friendly and fast. Small amount of seating inside and can be cramped but it doesn't matter when you're eating that yummy bean and cheese taco.“

“A Mexican restaurant at the end of the River Walk away from all the hustle and bustle of tourists and other restaurants. But make no mistake, this is a must visit restaurant if you want good Mexican food. We had Bloody Mary’s which were probably the best we’ve had. We also ordered the appetizer sampler for two and it was delicious. The bartender was very friendly and made us feel welcome.“

“I have been going to Shangrila since I was a kid . The food NEVER disappoints. Service is always fast. I recently tried the chow mein noodles (delicious). You just can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Dining room is now open so my family and I will start going back to sit down and eat.“
