“One of the reasons we love Schlotzsky’s is the customer service and ability to get gluten free bread and pizza- this location is no different. Our first visit here as we were passing through on our way back home and as soon as we saw the highway sign for them we knew exactly where lunch would be.The restaurant was clean, well apportioned, had ample seating and is handicap accessible. Plenty of parking space.Well lit with a bright and fun atmosphere. While the order taker was on her first day, the manager was spot on in helping her navigating the order process particularly since we had to have a modification for the gluten free bread as needed. He was patient and helpful in helping her ensure the order was taken and expedited correctly.Fresh Cinnabon was on the menu for the non celiac family members and it was fresh as could be.The flatbread pizza was a hit (available on gluten free bread) it was fresh and delicious. The roast beef on gluten free was delicious as well- fresh ingredients and perfectly constructed. The beverage bar was clean and the condiment section was fully stocked.Clean restrooms that have changing tables were in the mens and women’s rooms. While we won’t be up this way often as it’s a good distance from home- but if we do pass through again we are definitely going to come back.“
“The little Mexican girl that was behind the counter working by herself while she had a line of people all the way to the road. On top of that, doing online orders and prepping orders in front of people that little girl deserves a RAISE. I go to Subway all the time and it's never like that. All in all it was a good experience. A little girl took care of business. She handle herself very well and did not freak out“
“Julian ? ? knows how to make a sandwich with style. Most subways you go the sandwiches are thrown together and it's a mess. ? Here in Alma, the store was not only clean, & everyone was friendly, Julian took his time asking my husband & I about what we wanted and actually had a conversation with us vs. other stores where it seems like you are bothering them being a customer. Very kind! ? Good work Julian! Also saw him being kind to older people that were traveling alone, not rushing them.“
“Subway has upped their game. Twice we've stopped at a Subway on road trips this year, and we're 2 for 2 on good lunches. More options and everything tasted fresh and healthy. Kids loved the pizza and it looked delicious to us as well. This location, located in a Shell station, is run by a husband-wife team, which was fun. He handled the sammich making and she handled the adjacent Shell convenience store register. They clearly had fun together, which made the vibe more fun.Only suggestion for them: while I clicked with sammich-making hubby, he was a little abrupt with customers. When folks came in, he told them it'd be a minute if he were making other sammiches. That's standard and it's good to acknowledge customers, but he could add a little charisma and be a little more polite. "Sorry, it'll be a few minutes while I crank out these other sammiches." His flat, direct demeanor didn't bother me, but I could see it rubbing some folks the wrong way.“
