“The food is delicious, but when it comes to paying for your food they bring this little machine to your table to payout mine you they already put the gratuity on your bill, even if there is 2 or more. The waiter or waitress have a nerve to ask for additional tips, but you don’t know that they already charge you gratuity and asking for more money. I don’t think this is fair and right to do. Me and my husband came for our anniversary we enjoyed everything, but telling us that you have to share your tips with others and asking for more money is very wrong. Not good for business 🤦🏼♀️“

“Southern Gourmet Kitchen in Dallas, Texas, was the perfect spot to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. A time was most definitely had. Huge thanks to Aunt Janice and Uncle Marvin for the invite and showing us a marvelous time. From the moment you step in, the hospitality is exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond. The food, bursting with Southern flavors, is a standout—everything on the menu hits. Shoutout to Chief G, she the truth. The entire team, from the Owner Mrs Sparkel ,the hosts, bartenders to the busboys, they truly understand the assignment. DJ Chas adds a vibrant touch to the atmosphere, creating a memorable, grown folks vibe. (Love her ) moral of the story you can tell the owners have poured their heart into this place, making it not just a restaurant, but a celebration of Black excellence. “Absolutely delicious chicken, great service and atmosphere. I have never been disappointed and I have been coming here for years. Their chicken fried steak is top notch, as is their jumbo tenders and their Mac and cheese. Their Brussels sprouts are delicious and their green beans are perfectly done every time.“
