“This is a fantastic little bakery tucked inside a charming house. This was my boyfriend’s and I’s first visit here and immediately felt like we were part of the family that’s how friendly the staff was. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming. As soon as we stepped through the door, we were greeted by the warm, comforting smell of freshly baked pastries. The scent was just right, sweet but not overwhelming. Everything we ordered was fresh and absolutely delicious. The drinks were just as impressive. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. This place is truly a hidden gem.“

“My first winery experience when taking a friend out for her birthday. Peggy, our pourer, was excellent!! She was so friendly and really made the visit fun. Good staff is everything. The owner was a very nice guy who we chatted with before we left. Very welcoming place. Nice but casual. I’m more a brewery girl but I’ll definitely go back here. I liked the Rarity and Zin the best wine wise. And I recommend Mrs. Peggy if she’s working! 😎“

“Wicked Voodoo Espresso at Canyon Lake was awesome! I love the little shed coffee shop vibes. It perfectly fits the atmosphere. The latte was delicious and the service was friendly. They were so quick to assist us in our order and to decide what to get. I would recommend this coffee shop to my friends.“

“Any time I am in Canyon Lake, I stop here to get some great BBQ. So far I have had their ribs, sliced turkey, whole chicken, sliced brisket, and chocolate pecan pie. I have yet to try something here I did not like!! A must stop if you are in this neck of the woods!“

“Robyn and John have created a special live music venue. They've managed to improve it substantially yet still retain the original dive bar vibe. As the Backbone's reputation grows, it attracts a higher quality of singers/songwriters and it's not uncommon to have out of state visitors traveling in to see a show (we've met quite a few). The restroom situation is rough, and the bar service can get overwhelmed so have a little patience with the staff and enjoy the atmosphere of this amazing place.“
