Been going here for yearsss.
While there may be a lot of options in the area, there are incredibly few as good as this spot. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for food, drank, or vibe - THIS is the spot you looking for!
I’m not from New Orleans, but I visit several times a year and it is my favorite place to go!
I would say that SCDF is quite authentic. They have karaoke nights, live music, and other events. They even had Eggnog daiquiri flavor during the most recent holiday season.

“First time here…we will be back without a doubt. The food was fantastic…we had the Salmon Cakes & the Salmon Stack (both seasonal specials). Amazing food aside…our server, Cream, was a true delight. Plus the manager, Zach, made sure to make us feel welcome. The atmosphere is bright and beautiful. My husband and I highly recommend!“

“Just so we clear it is currently a food truck. However it doesn't negate the quality of the food. Fresh made red beans and rice, sauté spinach and Cajun potatoes with fried pork chop. It was seasoned well, cooked well and was delicious. My associate had the hot sausage po boy sandwich. I was told it was as it is cooked in New Orleans. Definitely would recommend and I will be back.“

“Table of 7. We all ordered different drinks and food. We were all happy. The service was awesome. I order fried pickles and shrimp basket. it was fried in a tender crust with perfect shrimp. Try the gator aide with your meal. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu that I could see.“

“I love Boo-Ray’s But.!!!! My 3lbs of the smallest crawfish i’ve ever seen or had . 🦞 unbelievable $36.00 $12.00 a pound is unbelievable They were so small they were over cooked. I will say they had great taste. but if I was if I wae the owners. I wouldn’t be serving this small crawfish and pissing customers off.“

“I recently had dinner with friends and family and found the food to exceptional and well prepared. Frog legs were delicious, our main course was a delight and the bread pudding was unbelievably good. highly recommend!“

“Jimmy the manager is amazing. All his staff are very friendly. Busy or not busy you will get the most friendly service food service is amazing. Food very fresh. They all go above there duties to make every customer feel so welcome as family. The food quality is amazing. Jimmy the manager we see him 1 or 2x a week because he and all his staff makes you want to come back for all the great sea food. They are so family friendly here. My lil girl is autistic and when they see us come in the accommodate our seating to make her feel comfortable. Go jimmy.. You are the best. “My first time trying C's Cajun food and I was not disappointed. I got the 2 catfish and 4 shrimp w/ cajun fries and it was good. Nicely seasoned on the fries, the 4 shrimp were nice sized and crispy, and the catfish was good but I did admit I thought they were chicken strips at first but all still good. I wanted the shrimp Po'boy but they didn't have it anymore but I will be again“
