“It’s a nice place with diner vibes. I will say our waitress was one of the most cordial and gregarious person I’ve ever met! Charo was super sweet, helpful and welcoming. I was impressed with the historical setting as well with the causal family type vibe of the restaurant. The lunch menu was great, offering an excellent variety of tasty options and all well priced. We had a quick stop for lunch prior to our visit to nearby Surfside Beach. What a great find. Clean restaurant and restrooms too. Plenty of free parking. Nice area in Lake Jackson.“

“My husband and I had a wonderful weekend here away from the city to celebrate our anniversary. The food was incredible! Bedroom at the bed and breakfast was clean and cozy! It’s a short drive to the beach and Lake Jackson. Karen and her employees were great hosts and the hospitality was incredible. We will definitely stop by again! Thank you!“

“0/2015: Again this place never fails, food was excellent, Chicken fried steak with the garlic mashed potatoes and the Fish and Chips were awesome. Reagan our server was very professional and very courteous.I stop by Saturday night (2/19/22). Very nice place and a very nice atmosphere. Freddy was the server and he was very professional and very courteous. The place was pack but he was checking very often that everything was right. The only issue and is not about the place is the parking area common to all the business in that street.“

“A positive thing. Our little group SAS (Senior Adult Singles) had a little holiday/Christmas party and we chose to eat at The Jay Cafe in Lake Jackson. We also elected to have Turkey and dressing (dispite gorging on this since Thanksgiving) Amar accomidated serving this on Saturday night (instead of their usual Sunday offering of the same) and the food was great. Our server was so sweet and accommodating it only added to a great evening.“

“If you want to enjoy a game with friends or family this is a Great place lots the menu is awesome artisan Pizza the Wings are burgers are delicious.if you on a diet well they got you covered like 6 different salad options also lol the atmosphere is awesome. “Went in with no expectations, and glad I did. The customer service was great. The ice cream is top tier. The chicken tenders and fries were really good. A bit salty but still good. 2 of my tenders were over cooked but by the time I finished my ice cream and fries I didn't care. Prices aren't bad either. Highly recommended.“

“My cousin came to visit from Abilene. Enjoyed a day at Kemah Boardwalk and finished the day at the Lake Jackson Texas Roadhouse. We had steaks and beer and we enjoyed watching the staff dancing. A great way to end our day.“

“Always great server, food always fresh and hot, wait time varies. Chili's has been my little random night out i dont want to cook or do dishes and the price stays good for me and my kid to leave spending less than $30 if we want. Been going random for 3 years to this location and all these things never change, good server good food good price“

“New organization, Chowboys, running the restaurant part now.
Tried the hot dog, fries, and regular cheeseburger.
All were good. Home made burger patty, not that frozen puck you'd get from other places.
Fries were seasoned and fresh.
But the star of the show was the hot dog.
Tasty and made to order.
The lady working the grill was nice and generous. It was a pleasure meeting her.
The atmosphere? It's ok... Can't expect everything from a gas station restaurant.
Needs some updating... 🤷♂️.
Overall, I'd say it's worth a stop.“
