“Rios for the win!! So delicious.“
“This is the best place for wild game processing. I recommend Schotts to all my clients. From bacon wrapped chopped steaks to chorizo and buck sticks and sausage. It’s all top notch. I purchased the bacon wrapped jalapeño popper stuffed chicken yesterday. It is a 10 out of 10. So easy to make and it’s big enough to share. I made it for dinner last night and I’m having it for lunch today. The broccoli cheese and rice stuffed bacon wrapped chicken thighs are equally as good. Both locations are always clean and well maintained and the staff is very friendly. I’ve never had a bad experience with them. I highly recommend them. Oh, and the ribeyes…honestly the best I’ve had. Perfect marbling. And the young, sweet girl at the counter even showed me how to determine if a steak is fresh or not.“

“Been a few years since my last visit as ive traveled a lot of for work outside the Metropolitan area. Got there just before the lunch rush.
Ordered 2 PC fried chicken and a chopped beef sandwich and a Dr pepper.
It didn't take long to get. The chicken wasn't piping hot, but was crispy and moist. They done away with the Louisiana hot sauce bottles for in store dining. You now must request hot sauce packets.
The chopped beef sandwich wasn't horrible, but they've definitely reduced the amount they put on the sandwich. Could be they were slammed in the kitchen due to the lunch hour.
The place was still clean as I've come to expect.“

“Ate there for the first time this weekend and it was so so good, they were so accommodating since we were from out of town and could not take our food to go. We will definitely be going again very soon!!!“

“Found this place while visiting San Antonio and decided to give it a try. The reviews were right: this place if fantastic! The loaded baked potato with brisket was huge! Two people could easily share this! And while sometimes restaurants will serve up large portions to make up for quality, that’s not the case here. The brisket was excellent and the potato was cooked to perfection. The ribs were perfectly done as well. Very flavorful and juicy. We also had the Mac Daddy sandwich. Another excellent choice. Brisket and mac and cheese on a grilled cheese. So tasty! The food and service were both excellent! You won’t be disappointed!“

“we always go here and have always been happy with our order. This time was a little disappointed in the peach cobbler. I ordered to small servings and both were filled less than half.“

“If you are looking for fast food TX BBQ I’m not quite sure why you would go anywhere else. This place puts Bill Miller’s to shame. It’s been quite some time since I’ve been to Smokey MO’s but all I know is every time I go I am impressed. The meat is so tender and not chewy at all. The brisket has a nice layer of fat marbled in it and the chicken was seasoned very well. The pinto beans taste more like refried beans with bits of brisket in it. Again this is a go to quick spot for some TX BBQ.“

“I definitely recommend El Monte BBQ for your next baby shower, event or family gathering. They were extremely friendly, on time. Everyone was asking where the Brisket was from and how tasty and delicious everything was. They definitely did not disappoint and will recommend to anyone looking for good brisket and friendly customer service.“

“There isn't just one thing about this place that brings us back.... it's the consistency of its parts! The bartenders are all friendly and knowledgeable, and honest. The drinks are better than most places. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm. It's what you would want to be doing even if it didn't exist, so having it here, in real life, makes all the more special! My favorite is TommieGirl! She rocks!“

“Best dry rub bbq I’ve had so far in Texas. We got pork ribs, beef ribs, sausage, oxtail, catfish, brisket, corn bread, mac n cheese, and fries. I wish my stomach was bigger so that I could eat more because everything was so damn good!! Definitely stop in and try because it was so worth it. The owner was super friendly as well! Support this local restaurant and you wont be disappointed!!“

“Rudy's has always been one of our favorite destinations. This place is the original, but it needs a bit of attention. The fountain drinks are inside of the gasoline station area, and there is only one attendant. She is running around doing a lot, and you can tell. I saw several people waiting to be attended. You have to request the water cups and the non standard bbq sauce. All of which is addressed in the other branches. The atmosphere is very rustic, but a bit too much. It needs an update but I don't quite know how to state it. Maybe better chairs, or different decorations, but it looks like it hasn't changed since it was built. Of course... delicious food. But by the time I sat down to enjoy it, it had cooled down too much for my liking.“

“I have been coming since it opened (re-opened) I love the staff, atmosphere and general vibe. The bar ladies are always with a smile that make you feel glad you came. The bar manager Lisanna, is very pleasant, hard working and engaging. The food is good, not great, but a good home feeling. Thanks“

“My wife and I went today for lunch, she had the Chicken fried chicken and I had a burger with mushrooms and sautéed onions. Also a cactus blossom for appetizer. By far some of the best food we have had in a while. Complements to the chef and team. Devon was our waiter and he was great! We will be asking for him for now on when we go back. Also if you haven’t tried the Raspberry tea, you’re missing out lol. Just wanted to share cause great service is hard to find these days and again great job!“

“It was great but our server told us that our meal came with two sides each then we noticed we had to pay for 3 out of the 4 sides. Got some story that made no sense.“
“Since recently indulging in Brisketeria's Quesa Birria Tacos, I have been enamored. Enthralled. Perhaps even in awe. This dish is my everything, and I yearn for it as I know that I personally cannot perfect it the way the people behind the counters of the Alamo Ranch Food Truck Brisketeria location, (who are true purveyors of fine foods), can do. The dish is so simple, yet so exquisite. So humble, yet brash. So recognizable, yet unique. Starting with components as simple as the corn tortilla, or even the beef, the Quesa Birria with a side of Consommé" doesn't miss", as the youth these days like to say. Brisketeria takes prime ingredients and masters their places in the dish, as they dance smoothly en route to tie the entire experience together. While the crunch of the tortilla and the comforting warmth of the melted cheese are the two sensations I recognize immediately, the robust flavors of the ever-so classic pepper is admittedly the first taste that hits my tongue. Many people with inexperienced palates call it "overwhelming" or "too much", but I say nay. Because soon thereafter, the savory beef that has been tenderly cooked, takes center stage. Hand-in-hand with the wild flavors and the perfectly stewed consommé, these main components eloquently give you that base that makes you think "this is not only the pinnacle of fine dining but also a meal that will top off any day." In the middle, you get a bit of the bite from the peppers, which gives you reassurance that a serious chef was behind the dish. Food feeds the soul. It is my love, it is my passion, and it is one of many reasons why I will keep coming back to Brisketeria. Well done“

“Audra M. was notably one of the best servers we've had in a very long time across a large variety of nicer dine-in restaurants. To begin with, we were celebrating my girlfriend's and her dad's birthday and brought a red velvet cake. Without hesitation, Audra offered to put it in the guest refrigerator while we ate. That is something NO ONE has ever done in the past. It seems relatively basic, but it opened up some table space and kept it nice and cold. Little things like that really go a long way in the service industry. She went above and beyond to make accomodations for us, keep our drinks refilled, and quick witted taking notes for our order. Obviously, that kind of job is easier when you can multitask well and memorize a lengthy list of requests. Thank you Audra for outstanding service! This is why we don't go to Texas Roadhouse anymore.“

“The food truck comes to our neighborhood every so often on Friday evening and we enjoy being able to have family dinner at the neighborhood center. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone downhill over the course of the year we have lived here. Tonight, I ordered the loaded Pulled Pork potato....the potato is just cut in half (not fluffed up) with pork and shredded cheese thrown in the middle. The potato is a brown/tan color and it is not even cooked completely- meaning I can not eat it. The entire thing is Luke warm at best....What a giant disappointment and a waste of $12. My kids got the nachos and they also were a disappointment . I really hope they get someone to work the truck that actually takes pride in the food they are serving.“
