“This is the best Starbucks around! The employees are so friendly they always have a smile on their faces and they go above and beyond to put a smile on mine and my kids faces…

I have however noticed lately someone in the industry (manager or owner maybe?) has been there more often and it tends to bring the crew down and really deflates the atmosphere. It’s pretty sad to witness actually. Hoping they fix whatever’s going on because I’d hate to see this crew broken up :(“

“First off CHAD, and for other rats in the comments Chick-fil-A pays $15 an hour. These other places are understaffed and pay anywhere from $10-$12 an hour. Perhaps Chad should complain to Congress or legislation and get something done about working for less then 15$ all of these restaurants are understaffed and workers are being pushed to the limit. There’s so much pressure to get the orders out in record time., it’s unreal!!“

“Had never been here before and will definitely come back. Comfortable atmosphere, very good coffee & tea and the owner, Landon, was very nice. Local artists can hang & sell their art and musicians can sign up for Saturday morning. The buckwheat chocolate chip cookie was delicious. Landon…I wish I knew more about bagels…LOL“

“It’s such a cozy little place for morning coffees, the atmosphere is just so welcoming and the second floor seating area is such a cool experience. Great customer service, super helpful with questions about app services, and delicious coffee and bagels (my favorite is the cinnamon sugar bagel)!“

“I fell hard for roti buns in Indonesia about 10 years ago, and my wife and I have often reminisced about those fluffy, buttery, semi-sweet marvels, and talked about how perfect they are as a breakfast food. However, we were never able to find them anywhere... until now.

PappaRoti doesn't quite live up to the Indonesian roti chains (Rotiboy and Rotio), but it's still absolutely delicious. I've only tried the signature bun, and today I had some chai with it. The chai is excellent - very authentic, nicely and not too sweet (like it is in just about every coffee place). The service is also always friendly and helpful.

“I came in stressed from work for a comfort coffee. I was immediately greeted warmly and offered things not even on the menu. I was even asked to “please stay” when I said it was to go. This place lifted my spirits and I left much happier than I came in. It’s also huge in here, so a great place to meet friends…next time.“

“The staff was super friendly and the energy was great.
I tried the Golden Eagle Breve, Dutch Canyon Frost, Strawberry Horchata Chai, and Cold Brew with Soft Top + Chocolate Macadamia Syrup.
The drinks were creative and over the top sweet, but a couple of them actually hit. The chai was warm and refreshing, the frost was like dessert, and the soft top cold brew was smooth and balanced. Solid stop overall.“

“This place was super chill and I will definitely go back. My only hesitation to visit was wondering if it was dog friendly. I did not see anything mentioning outdoor seating or being dog friendly. The most disappointing thing about my visit was arriving after dropping my dog off at home only to find that it is in fact dog friendly and had 2 dogs inside. The drinks were good and tasted better than the straight Kava I have made at home in the past.

“This has been my go to the last couple weeks & I looove The Kicker! Their suggestion was to add a little hazelnut and a shot…. It’s DELISH! Just left this location & the girls at the window were so friggin sweet, that alone makes me want to return. “Avoca has some of the best iced coffee in Denton. My go to is the iced vanilla latte with oat milk or the TX Bourbon butterscotch iced latte with oat milk. They usually have a decent pastry selection as well. The atmosphere is great for meeting a friend or just relaxing by yourself with a morning coffee. There is an outside patio also. The barista’s are really nice and know their coffee. Highly recommend!“

“Strawberry lemonade smoothie and three pop cups. Even my picky dog loves the pup cups. If you see a long line don't fret they are fast. I was turning into the parking lot I saw about five or six cars in line and by the time I pulled up to the end of the line. My order was taken, I looked up and every single car was gone like magic.. “I love coming here! There are so many good restaurants nearby, yet I always find myself stopping by here. The shop feels so homely and relaxed. Every single time I have come here, I have had nothing but the friendliest staff. They are so helpful and nice. You can tell they really enjoy the environment. This is alone is a big reason we visit.

Not only that, the coffee and food are top-notch. Their coffees are fantastic. I have been trying all of the different varieties and they were all great. On top of that, both the cheese dogs and tteokbokki are were great. They have a few varieties and the ones we had are spot on.

We are vegetarian. The staff not only helped us find the vegetarian options, but they gave recommendations that they would customize for us so we could also try them. I have had a consistently good experience every time I have visit and am thankful to the owner/staff for having such a pleasant experience in the hectic neighborhood.“
