“I travel all over the country for my job and have visited more than 65 Starbucks locations, so I feel pretty confident when I say this: the Hickory Creek Starbucks is one of the best — if not the best — I’ve ever been to.

The staff here are genuinely warm and welcoming. They remember their regulars, ask how you’re doing, and actually seem invested in how your life is going. It’s not just about getting coffee and moving on. They turn a routine stop into a moment of real human connection.

You can get coffee anywhere. What you don’t get everywhere is the feeling that someone cares whether your morning starts off right. This team does that consistently, and it makes a difference. They make me feel better about my morning every single time.

“First off CHAD, and for other rats in the comments Chick-fil-A pays $15 an hour. These other places are understaffed and pay anywhere from $10-$12 an hour. Perhaps Chad should complain to Congress or legislation and get something done about working for less then 15$ all of these restaurants are understaffed and workers are being pushed to the limit. There’s so much pressure to get the orders out in record time., it’s unreal!!“

“Had never been here before and will definitely come back. Comfortable atmosphere, very good coffee & tea and the owner, Landon, was very nice. Local artists can hang & sell their art and musicians can sign up for Saturday morning. The buckwheat chocolate chip cookie was delicious. Landon…I wish I knew more about bagels…LOL“

Just don't make the same mistake I did when picking up your food. They will call out the order, but not your name, and the name on your food is the employee's name so don't let your food set out too long 😂.“

“One of the best coffee shops in DFW, and hands down my favorite espresso in Denton. Family-owned with an amazing staff and an owner who truly cares every visit feels special. “Avoca has some of the best iced coffee in Denton. My go to is the iced vanilla latte with oat milk or the TX Bourbon butterscotch iced latte with oat milk. They usually have a decent pastry selection as well. The atmosphere is great for meeting a friend or just relaxing by yourself with a morning coffee. There is an outside patio also. The barista’s are really nice and know their coffee. Highly recommend!“

I came to this Starbucks location for the first time and absolutely loved the service I received. Jailan was amazing! I had bought a drink at another location that I didn’t like, and he kindly helped me by preparing a different one based on a TikTok video I was watching. It turned out more than delicious!

The Mango and Pineapple smoothie was very refreshing, and both the cookies and coffee were standouts. We also tried the Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake, while it looked tempting, it didn't quite live up to the hype for us, as the cheesecake base seemed to distract from the chocolate flavor. That said, all the desserts looked beautiful. I’d love to return on a quieter day to soak in the atmosphere again!“
