“02/03/24, 3:20 pm. This bad review has nothing to do with the food. The food was, and always, has been great. This is about the lady who works the front register. I'm not sure about everyone else, but I don't like going to a business, where I'm about to spend a decent amount of money, and the first words out of the employees mouth is "yea." How about, "Welcome in. What can I get for you?" If I wasn't running a little bit behind before work, I would have let her have it. This is not the way I was raised. It kinda shocked me. I thought I was on camera, about to be punked. This will definitely be on my mind next time I'm thinking about food to take to work, and will definitely turn around and leave if this lady is working the register. I gave 4 stars, which should have been 5 stars if it weren't for the lady at the register.“
“Stopped in from League City to grab lunch. 2 meat tray with 2 sides offered a ton of food for 2 to share. Sliced brisket was moist and well smoked. Well balanced bbq sauce is very tasty and just the right amount of vinegar and pepper. Mac n cheese was creamy and bbq beans were tasty! Homemade pickles were tart and crunchy. Abita root beer on tap was a nice surprise. Tasted my daughter's grilled cheese and the sharp cheddar made it a top notch grilled cheese. Kids meal is large and comes with either Mac n cheese or chips. Friendly service and atmosphere and definitely will return for more awesome food. Next trip I plan to try the Kat's Mac bowl.“
“We had lunch there and let me tell you, they had one of the best hamburgers I ever had. Well cooked but not dry, the bun was toasted, purple onions and ripe tomatoes. Seasoned fries to complement and a coke. The service was excellent and fast and prices were good for the quality of food we got.“
“Went by today to drop off a deer to be processed and ate while we were there, I had the sliced brisket sandwich my wife had the brisket tots. Absolutely delicious we will definitely be back great Folks Great Grub. Loved the ambience like being in a country store but in the heart of Dickinson. Give em a try I know you will be pleased“
“Amazing place where everyone is so kind and welcoming! They had amazing food with exception to the spinach which seemed to have a odd taste.. I normally love spinach but I'd avoid it here! They let you select the type of cut you would love and ut made the experience that much “
“We stayed in Texas City to avoid the crowds in Galveston and the inevitable long wait to get a table in a restaurant.Gus was a comfortable restaurant, good service, GREAT food for a reasonable price. I had the blackened catfish, she had the fried. Both were excellent!“

“After church, I had been craving a sliced beef sandwich with Potato Salad. I was headed home, and decided to stop here. I am Super, Uber glad I did. This place is very, very nice and clean inside. TV's to watch every different Sports Major win there. The Food was DELICIOUS !! OMG! You have got to try this place. There were other people there, atmosphere friendly, and did I mention the Food? Get over there as soon as you can. I was not disappointed at all.. Texas Pit Stop, I will be back next Sunday, after church ❤❤“
“Everything was perfect, unfortunately a long drive but worth it when you arrive, the chopped brisket on a poboy bun is one of my favorites the staff was nice and polite, the drinks were a landscape of flavor, and the atmosphere just reminiscent of a old 80's style dinner, overall great place highly recommend.“
