My husband is a pizza connoisseur, having made plenty in his life while working at a pizza place as a cook and a manager. He always will have a critique about the pizza anywhere we go, lol. But not today! He said, and I quote: "This is the best Italian sausage pizza I've ever had." He doesn't complement cooking easily, so kudos to the baker and this place for the amazing pizza. This is a beautiful place and convenient for hanging out after visiting the MFAH. It was about 4 p.m. and they were already out of the tomato gnocchi soup. Mind you, they close at 6 p.m. Plus at $4.50 for a small cappuccino, they should have brown sugar available. If you're a member of the museum, you get a 15 percent discount.

This place is a great stop. It has a great view of the sculpture garden. The gelato selection is great. The coffee and teas are good too. The dessert selection is fabulous. I have never had a full meal there, but it is a splendid stop even if you are not going to the museum.
