“This is my 2nd time coming here and Tim was our server. His service is like you’re being treated by family. He gave us the newest updates to the menu since we last visited and it was all delicious 🤤 My favorites of the night were the mussels and the foie grois. Ask for extra bread because you’re going to slurp that mussel broth right up.“

“Updated- I was able to try the “new” Andiron recently. The menu is a bit different. Gone are the expensive Wagyu meats and some new items have been added. Fortunately, the space kept its classic elegance and much of the same great staff remains. The martinis are still the best. I wouldn’t say the place is much less expensive but there are more options at a fair price for the quality and service. I had the market fish with a green pea hummus and curry sauce. The Caesar salad was delightfully unique with plenty of freshly grated Parmesan and a hint of citrus zest. This place is still one of my favorites in town. AND they still have their happy hour, a great way to give them a try.“

The food, the live music, comedy show, the cocktails & most of all the staff make this place one of Houston’s best hidden gems. “Roger was our waiter and he made the experience unforgettable. The bread service was a welcome surprise (sourdough bread and chive-butter) and they were absolutely incredible. We were in the mood for seafood, so Roger recommended multiple “favorites.” We went with the Lobster Tacos which were very well-made with sizable portions of lobster. We also ordered the Sea Bass, prepared in an off-menu fashion —per Roger’s recommendation— and it was so wonderful. Wish we’d taken photos, but just know that the presentation matched the unparalleled service and food quality.“

“I'm quite critical of restaurants. This place literally has it all. The ambiance is like a Las Vegas restaurant. The service is impeccable. The food is ridiculously amazing. We sampled a bunch of stuff and absolutely everything was just perfect. Best steak in town plus you can eat sushi and Korean BBQ too. “We have been here a number of times, almost every time is excellent. This time however the server was very bad, she had an unhappy attitude from the beginning, and when there was an issue with the drink there was a problem with getting it fixed. We didn't want all of the espresso grounds in the espresso martini. A couple of beans on top is no problem but there were also a bunch of grounds which made it gross to drink. They didn't want to get us a new one. When we ordered the banana flambe for dessert she didn't even let us know she was doing it on the side, very uninterested in serving our table. I've been to many very nice restaurants and if there is ever any issue there is typically a quick response to fixing it above and beyond. The food was still very delicious, I was just very disappointed in the service this time.“

“Brenner's never disappoints! We had attended the spring wine tasting and had dinner in the dining room afterwards. Since we had had numerous appetizers during the tasting, we split our salad, filet and potato. Our server, Robert, never hesitated or said there would be a charge for splitting our food items. He was a very attentive server. Our food was perfect as always! We shared a Caesar salad, 10 ounce filet and a huge baked potato. It all was cooked correctly and tasted heavenly. We will certainly return.“

“New favorite steakhouse in Houston!

Tried out King Steak this week and wow—I’m seriously impressed. The vibe is upscale but not stuffy, and the pricing is actually super reasonable compared to some of the other high-end steakhouses around town.

The food? Incredible. You can tell the chef knows what he’s doing (found out later it’s Eric Aldis, who was at Federal Grill and Mo's). The steak was cooked perfectly, super tender and flavorful. Bacon wrapped scallops were superb, chicken parmesan and short rib are my other two favorites! Sides were just as good—definitely recommend the beef tallow fries and the jalapeno hashbrowns.

Service was top-notch too. Attentive without being overbearing, and they made great drink recommendations.

If you're looking for a classy night out without dropping a fortune, this place is a must-try. Can’t wait to go back!“

Filet Mignon, two ounces of chargrilled lobster, and three plump chargrilled Gulf shrimp. They remove the food from the hanging bar and prepare the lobster, shrimp, and filet, removing the shells and presenting them eloquently on a hot plate. They are accompanied by 3 sauces: velvety Truffle Merlot Demiglace, with its luxurious depth of flavor, or the bold and peppery Peppercorn Reduction sauce, and a homemade bearnaise. I will say the Truffle Merlot Demiglace was amazing. Surprisingly, their signature homemade bearnaise was a flop. I told the waiter, and he went to the back to try it. He told the chef that it wasn't prepared properly; it was missing an ingredient. But overall, the food“

“Second time at this location that I was not impressed by the service. My dad loves Longhorn Steaks so for his 73rd birthday this is where we went. The server was very friendly however when he delivered our steaks he delivered the bill at the same time then never returned again to check on us until we were done. I told the hostess and our server that we were celebrating my dad's birthday. As the server, wouldn't you assume on a birthday that we'd also want dessert? It wasn't even mentioned.
Even if it wasn't his birthday it is incredibly rude to deliver the bill at the same time as the main course and never check on us again. I think we'll be crossing this Longhorn off our list of places to go.“
