“I found about this location through TikTok so I was a little worried about it being packed or having long wait times. I went on a Wednesday evening and there was no wait. We were seated and how we first order was a little complicated. We came in and nobody was there to let us know if it was open seating or we had to wait to be seated. One of the employees kind of ushers us in and pointed to a table. We sat down and waited. The menu was pretty straightforward but I was a little confused at first on the differences between their combo A and their general combo. At the end I tried a few things. The shaggy dog spicy roll, the crunchy lovers, country boys and also the pork gyoza 🥟 Everything was amazing! The only thing I didn’t like was the beef low mein. Super salty. I couldn’t finish half of it. Honestly still 5 stars. That’s how good their sushi was.“

“I was taken here by a client and had a party of 10. This was by far one of my favorite restaurants in the DFW area! The food was impeccable and the service was amazing! We had three or four servers for our party and allowed us to order as we went along in our journey. They created two omakases for us, one for sushi / sashimi / nigiri and one for our desserts at the end of the meal. They were so much fun and gave us a taste of almost everything on the menu. “This was my first time here and we brought the family. I visited this location before when it was Lava 10 and I think the seating is the same. There is a long booth-bench with tables and chairs on the other side right through the center. The booth-bench side sank down a bit more than the chairs which made for a little bit of a comical eating situation. There is bar seating, what I think was normal tables on the east side of the restaurant, and high top tables as well. When you go, DEFINITELY arrive before 6:30 so you can take advantage of the happy hour menu. Excellent prices on apps, and you can sample a bunch at a great price. Cocktails were also on happy hour! We had a smattering of rolls, sushi (octopus & escolar), ceviche, pot stickers, and a spicy tuna over crispy rice bite (that was the star!). The octopus was a bit tough (didn't snap clean, was quite chewy), but everything else was absolutely excellent. The wine selection is elevated as well, so if you are a fan you will find something lovely. Definitely recommend this place and we will be back!“

“I brought my mom here for lunch yesterday. The waiter that served us had kind of a crappy attitude honestly. In some moments he was nice but my mom asked what comes on a bento box because she's unfamiliar and he told her "it's on the menu". She just wanted someone to explain it to her because she was confused by the sushi and the meat options. Obviously not an item she orders often. She asked what the meat is for (i think she thought you get sushi or meat she wasn't understanding it was a part of the box) and he looked at her like she was stupid and pretty flatly answered the question. It embarrassed her. My mom is a really kind hearted person so it was frustrating watching someone make her feel dumb for asking a question in an unfamiliar environment. Sad. The food itself was good. The waiter likely was having a bad day. I've been a server and understand. But wish he'd been kinder to my mom.“
