“Couldn't eat much but what I did eat was a little cold. Flavor was as usual, just not as fresh as usual. I know it's not the restaurant's fault but all the hyper kids just running around, blocking, yelling made me feel like the staff should enforce the signs they post about unaccompanied children under 10“

“I’ve been to Taste of Mulan a few times and each time the food and the service exceeds my expectations. “Small store, always crowded, it is good for both dine in and takeaway. Roasted pork belly is just right, not too dry, not too salty. I dont try roasted duck here but heard many good things about them. The large box comes with fried rice / white rice and 2 meats, its is good portion for one, maybe you can split into 2 portions for lunch and dinner. If you dine in, they have puerh tea to help you digest with all fatty from duck and pork. Free. Parking is always filled up on the ground, be ready to park upstairs at no cost.“

“I can now understand why this place is popular. The food was phenomenal! The noodles were so good and had a nice bite to them. The entries in my opinion were really big for one person so you get your money's worth. We tried a few items from appetizers to entries and our favorite was the General Tso's Chicken w/ regular noodles, Takoyaki, and the Xiao Long Bao. Staff was super friendly and always came to refill our cups. Just writing this makes me wish I lived closer to have their food more regularly!“

“Our dinner was amazing! Hands down the BEST Chinese food we've had in a long time. We went on a Wednesday at 4:30 pm. Our order included egg rolls, vegetable fried rice, China Garden Hunan Beef, and roast pork egg foo yung. “FLAVORFUL food!!! This hidden gem in Pasadena packs a punch. The servings are very large, you get the bang for your buck. All the food was delicious.I placed an online order for pickup (first time customer) and forgot to put my coupon for a free eggroll, so I called and they added it to my order, and they actually gave me two free instead of one. They didn't have alot of chicken and veggies options. They didn't have orange chicken. Their jalapeño chicken was lacking in veggies and in jalapeños. Their dessert options were good, the jello was good. They didn't have watermelon and my granddaughter was looking forward to that, as I was. “Star Chef has a variety of dumplings you can order. They have steamed (vegetable, pork, or chicken), pan fried pork, and deep fried pork or chicken. ThI've tried all of the ones that Star Chef has and enjoy each one. You can get a mixed dozen for $9.99 plus tax but it's a good portion. They also have an excellent WonTon soup! Their customer service is impeccable and they go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience each and every time.“

Only complaint is that when you spend $51.00 dollars on 5 egg rolls, 2 orders of fried bread and several large orders of entrées that require at least 4 or 5 sweet and sour sauce- little cups but only get 2 and when one request 2 more but they tell you they are going to charge you for 2 more after paying $51.00, it leaves a bad taste in one's mouth.“
