“A little disappointed in our meals on Mother's Day. Very little avocado on the avocado toast, and for the price, it should have been more. Hamburger was just so-so, not even a special bun, just plain. I chose this place for myself and my daughters to visit with high expectations, because I have been many times and always loved the food, but this time, I was disappointed.“

“Very nice people working here!! Food was good!! Prices were decent as well!! Doesn't look like much on the outside but it's pretty neat to see the murals painted on the walls on the inside. This place was a suggestion from the lovely lady that runs the Gone With The Wind Museum about 8 miles up the road. She loves this place!! Definitely go to the museum it's worth it!!“

“Very tasty soup, salad, sandwich place. Cute and clean inside and the service was friendly and efficient. Ice tea was refilled appropriately and the food came out at the proper temperature. I had a spinach soup, chicken salad, and quiche combo. Good value for the money. Recommended.“

“Tiny place so everyone was elbow to elbow, but the 2 ladies working were down to earth and working their butts off. The food was pretty good except I got a large fry for $4 and got maybe a handful if I was lucky and were a little soggy....but burgers were awesome!“

“Excellent service and food quality The brisket enchiladas with queso were super good tonight. Came with rice and three more veggies so I opted for salad (which is now larger and on a square plate, not a tiny salad at all),pinto beans and corn.“

“Had my first awkward coffee date here on my way to Ohio last year with my now wife. Like all waffle houses, the food and coffee is yuck but in a strangely good way, and the atmosphere is great. Only real complaint I have is when I interviewed here for a job they said they were gonna hire me and look at their schedule and call me back and never did. I don't like when companies lie over awkwardness.“

“Unique gem in the heart of downtown Cleburne. We were lucky enough to stop by on a Saturday during a shop the block event. The restaurant is bistro style with unique finds to purchase throughout the store. Food was fabulous, the potato soup is probably the best I've ever tried. The place was packed but the servers handled it well and didn't skip a beat. Super cool intimate window seating options, I wish I took a picture of it, but great for people watching. Will be back if we're ever in the area.“

“my family loves this place. we only wish it were closer to Waco. when we lived closer we ate there a couple times per week and even now we get there as often as possible. the food is wonderful and although it is buffet the wait staff is professional quick and courteous. I really wish they would open one in Waco. wonderful down home atmosphere.“

“We stop at The Daily Special Cafe every time we come to Alvarado—which is often. Prices are reasonable. The Daily Special is popular with locals. It’s the food. Check out our photos to see what I mean. We always order breakfast (served all day). Based on how delicious their breakfast is, I feel confident the rest of the menu is prepared just as well. The decorations are from the “down home” design school. Lots of license plates, metal chickens, and coffee mugs. The Daily Special is in a strip center next door to Brookshire Brothers supermarket. Alvarado is conveniently located at the intersection of Interstate 35W and Hwy 67 about halfway between Fort Worth and Waco. Worth your time and money.“

“We are visiting family in Cleburne and checked this place out for breakfast. First time here. You seat yourself wherever you want. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in and tended to right away. Our waitress was kind and made sure to get our food order correct to avoid any delay. The other servers kept up with coffee refills and were kind as well. I tried the migas and they were good. My husband and daughter had the French Toast platter and that was really good as well. Overall, great experience and food. We will visit again for sure.“

“The brisket is delicious. I’ve tried that the ribs are so tender. They pull apart with a fork, but this cheeseburger is probably the best cheeseburger I’ve had in many many years.“

“This is a family place. Locals go here, many from the larger city, to get a little away from the city. If children bother you, don't go. Our waiter was very, "on it!" As he served many other tables, ours was not let alone. Food was ok. No restaurant is ever going to cook like grandma, so if that's something you need, either learn to cook, or go to grandma's. You can get lucky, but if a place has ppl, they're good enough, and if they have ppl, they have quick procedures. That's how it works. You can pay seriously good money though. I can't, and the ppl that can don't waist they're money. It's food. You didn't cook. You didn't clean. You wasn't poisoned. Be ok, unless you're one of those mean ppl, and if you happen to know you are. Here's what you don't know. You've already eaten gross stuff, hidden. You've waited longer. Even Cowboys didn't mess with the chef. Same thing with your mechanic. Leave them alone. It's been figured out. Let them work. If they mess up, deal with it after. Then you have something to complain about. Be nice. Eat here. It's a good wholesome place.“

“I'm not from Burleson, and I was in town looking for a karaoke spot. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. Cowboy was the first bartender that served me. He made an excellent margarita and was very friendly from the first drink to the last. I didn't realize that karaoke would be on their back patio....what a pleasant surprise! They had so much seating, a stage, and another decent sized bar, where Jason was bartending. I kept ordering drinks from Cowboy because I started my tab with him, but Jason was still very friendly. I didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food. But, the karaoke, ran by Karen, was crazy fun! I did not intend on staying as long as I did, but the locals were unbelievably friendly, and the karaoke was good. I will 100% come back to this spot when I'm in town. I am a service industry professional and these guys are crushing it. It's truly rare to recieve such great customer service. Kuddos to all the fellas that were there Sunday night. Thank you so much for a fun evening. ?“

“Visited the catch yesterday and we'll definitely return. So let's start with the food:•cooked perfectly•the seasoning of the crab boil juices is what landed 4 stars. Me personally I would've like for it have more seasoning. The juice was translucent with not a speck of seasoning in sight. Compared to places like Red Claw where you seasonings all thru that bag and tantalizing on the pallet/taste.•shrimp was good just need the seasonings in the juices like I stated for the crab boil since that was what I requested in the form of a crab boil.•sausage was good•crawfish was good. I just needed those seasonings to be superb•atmosphere perfect•staff was very kind with smiling faces•clean restaurant and restrooms•I liked the free margaritas•corn was good•potatoes cooked goodParking: Parking lot had availabilityKid-friendliness: Most of the patrons that night were families. The atmosphere is inviting social.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair access from parking lot to door.“

“I met Kristin this week who is the manager at the Cleburne location. She promptly seated me when other staff was busy, took my drink order and asked if I would like to order an appetizer. Then, Caleb was my waiter and took my order. My food arrived promptly and was good. Kristin checked back with me a couple of times during my visit to make sure everything was OK. I appreciated Kristin checking with me as it seems that dining alone "anywhere" usually receives minimal service.“
