“I went there with a bunch of my college friends and honestly everything was great. Chips and salsa was excellent and the guacamole tasted great. We ordered a few top shelf margaritas pitchers and they were just as strong as he said they would be. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately my friends were being rude and lying about what they ordered once they saw the price of the bill. Felt kind of bad for our server because our experience couldn’t have been any better.“

“Rios Barbacoa #2 was amazingly delicious! The barabacoa, tamales and beans are a MUST you must try! The phenomenal customer service that makes you feel like family was an additional PLUS! I recommend anyone wanting the BEST barbacoa and tamales stop at Rios Barbacoa #2 Deco District! That will definitely be our choice always for our family breakfast traditions!“

“I have been so excited to eat at La Fonda for almost 20 years! This was a wonderful experience - the food was delicious, the service was fantastic and the ambiance was perfect! The margarita = perfection, the Enchilada Verdes was so tasty and to finish the churros and flan are worth the trip alone! What a treat!“

“Never did I thought that in the 13 years that I’ve been in this country I’d find something so close to home! This Tex-Mex restaurant had more Mex than Tex. It is the MOST authentic food I’ve eaten and brought me back to my childhood. The prices are good, the food is delicious, the service is decent. We come from Dallas and best believe we’ll be coming back to Melanie’s!“

“Went with the family and had a great time. Service was excellent. Obsessed with the creamy jalapeno sauce! The Stuffed Poblano is amazing! Margaritas are super strong! Go hungry and be prepared to leave with a to-go box because you'll fill up on the chips/salsa and creamy jalapeno sauce. I'd put that sh*t on everything! 😉“

“althought the food is great service is not, this was our 3rd time going as its conveniently close to our church,but defenitly will be last, and each time it took at least 15 mins to even have anyone come to at least take our drink order, this time we had to go up to owner and ask if we could get a waitress and she stated she would go as soon as she was done with the drive threw and the front register all whole 1 girl stood around making chip basket and another organizing decor shelves, on top of the fact for 2 tacos and a coffee new special breakfast cost is almost $9 now before 10 am“

“My grandparents owned several businesses in the area and as a child we would go there for lunch. I visited the restaurant last Wednesday for the first time in over 60 years. The food and service were excellent and authentic. I visited with several staff members to share my story and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend visitors to San Antonio to eat at the Blue Moon.“

“We stopped by Teka Molino around 11am on a weekday and had a really great experience. I ordered the Carne Guisada breakfast plate, which came with fried potatoes, refried beans, and tortillas. The carne guisada was tender, flavorful, and easily one of my favorite things we tried.
We also got their famous Bean Cup and a Puffy Taco. The Bean Cup looks tiny and simple, but it was surprisingly delicious. The Puffy Taco was another highlight — perfectly fried, crispy and light rather than greasy, and honestly pretty cute too!
This is a casual counter-service spot: you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the dining area was spacious, bright, and very clean.
What I also liked was how local the place felt. Even though we were there around 11am in the middle of the week, people kept coming in for breakfast and lunch. It definitely felt like a neighborhood favorite rather than somewhere that exists mainly for tourists.
Everything was reasonably priced, portions were satisfying.“

“The Spinach Omelete is my favorite and is always cooked to perfection. I usually add jalapeño and mushrooms. Unfortunately, after waiting, I had to choose another dish as they were out of Spinach? It happens I guess.
So I chose their Machado plate as a last resort and was pleased with my meal. I've had their Menudo in the past and it's very tasty as well....lol, I probably should have just ordered that, but it wasn't the weekend yet.“

Dietary restrictions: I was allowed to order off the kids menu. Alot of places don't allow that, I was thankful for that, because I've had weightloss surgery so I can not eat much at all. “I am born and raised in San Antonio in which I have always gone to Tex mex restaurants in the city with my family and I’ve never even heard of this place until now. It was way better than I thought and it is a good portion of food. I got the big teka. Their cheese enchiladas were good with the chili on top being the signature part. The puffy tacos they provide were puffed up well and tasty. This is now a good option for whenever I come back into town to get Tex mex.“

“Atmosphere is always hot. they have poor ventilation. The AC they have is not very cold and they have very little fans blowing. I no longer eat inside because it’s too hot. food is very good. Tortillas are good. Homemade I pick up all my orders to go.“

“I usually love this place. Go there all the time the service is usually great and so is the food. Today….However, I was severely disappointed. I sat outside this afternoon to enjoy the weather and literally had to flag down the bartender to get her attention not once but twice and then had to ask a different girl walking by if I could tab out she was more interested in having conversations with another bartender than paying attention to the people outside and they weren’t even busy.“

“Yesterday (1/22/2021) after a long school and work week I didn’t want to cook so my family & I decided to get Freebirds. My fiancé said “you can’t go wrong with Freebirds” but unfortunately you can.... the women doing our order (super short hair, the receipt says her name is Kyla) was EXTREMELY rude from THE MINUTE WE WALKED IN. She was so rude that my fiancé actually told her that “the attitudes not cool” which she then rolled her eyes and got worse for the rest of the order. My fiancé NEVER complains so this really says something when he feels the need to confront someone..... I was going to but once he took the step to do so, I was proud of him and let him handle it. Kyla is lucky I didn’t end up saying something because I wouldn’t of been as easy as him... We both got to the car and discussed it. Love the food but I don’t think we’ll be back at that location which is a shame because it’s so close and we got quite frequently... Oh also when we were paying I told her I’d like to use my free monster burrito coupon. She said okay but then after the card was ran I realized the price didn’t change. I asked why the price didn’t change before she ran my card which she THEN informed me that the coupon is only valid on a vegetarian burrito. I think the lack of communication was due to my fiancé calling her out on her crappy attitude so I wasn’t shocked. Oh and I also asked for a monster salad, not a regular. 🙄“

“I gave four stars only because the food didn't really taste fresh. I'm not saying it was bad but it seemed like it was warmed back up. Like I said it wasn't bad, but the tortillas were the worst. I opened the tortillas and they were hot fresh and super soft but after like 2 mins they got hard and kinda crunchy 🤷. The staff was nice.“
