“I went there with a bunch of my college friends and honestly everything was great. Chips and salsa was excellent and the guacamole tasted great. We ordered a few top shelf margaritas pitchers and they were just as strong as he said they would be. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately my friends were being rude and lying about what they ordered once they saw the price of the bill. Felt kind of bad for our server because our experience couldn’t have been any better.“

“Never did I thought that in the 13 years that I’ve been in this country I’d find something so close to home! This Tex-Mex restaurant had more Mex than Tex. It is the MOST authentic food I’ve eaten and brought me back to my childhood. The prices are good, the food is delicious, the service is decent. We come from Dallas and best believe we’ll be coming back to Melanie’s!“

“Rios Barbacoa #2 was amazingly delicious! The barabacoa, tamales and beans are a MUST you must try! The phenomenal customer service that makes you feel like family was an additional PLUS! I recommend anyone wanting the BEST barbacoa and tamales stop at Rios Barbacoa #2 Deco District! That will definitely be our choice always for our family breakfast traditions!“

“The queso is 🔥 and so is everything else. You're safe getting anything on the menu! It'll be tasty. Be mindful if you dont like cilantro though, they have a couple sauces that have a lot of it.

“My grandparents owned several businesses in the area and as a child we would go there for lunch. I visited the restaurant last Wednesday for the first time in over 60 years. The food and service were excellent and authentic. I visited with several staff members to share my story and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend visitors to San Antonio to eat at the Blue Moon.“

“althought the food is great service is not, this was our 3rd time going as its conveniently close to our church,but defenitly will be last, and each time it took at least 15 mins to even have anyone come to at least take our drink order, this time we had to go up to owner and ask if we could get a waitress and she stated she would go as soon as she was done with the drive threw and the front register all whole 1 girl stood around making chip basket and another organizing decor shelves, on top of the fact for 2 tacos and a coffee new special breakfast cost is almost $9 now before 10 am“

“Alamo Cafe is a must-visit whenever we are in San Antonio. They have the best tortillas I have ever had, and the enchiladas are absolutely out of this world. The food is consistently delicious, which is why we always make a point to come back every time we visit.
Beyond the amazing food, the restaurant itself is such a unique experience. The decor is full of character and charm, making it almost worth visiting just to take in the atmosphere. Alamo Cafe is a true San Antonio favorite and a place we always look forward to returning to.“

“I had an absolutely fabulous experience at Teka Molino on Eighth Street in San Antonio! From the moment I was greeted by Victor. I felt welcomed and well taken care of.
There are so many food options — perfect for bringing the whole family! I chose the tacos and was pleasantly surprised — they reminded me of the authentic Mexican food I used to enjoy at my best friend’s home during college breaks. The salsa brought back memories of her mom’s cooking, and the chicken was exceptional — moist, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned.
But honestly, the best part was the service. Victor and Heri went above and beyond to make the experience special.
Do yourself a favor: say hello to Victor and Heri, tell them you read this review, and don’t forget to order the puffy tacos and the green chicken enchiladas — top-notch! Thank you, guys, for an amazing experience, I WILL be back!!!“

“The Spinach Omelete is my favorite and is always cooked to perfection. I usually add jalapeño and mushrooms. Unfortunately, after waiting, I had to choose another dish as they were out of Spinach? It happens I guess.
So I chose their Machado plate as a last resort and was pleased with my meal. I've had their Menudo in the past and it's very tasty as well....lol, I probably should have just ordered that, but it wasn't the weekend yet.“

Dietary restrictions: I was allowed to order off the kids menu. Alot of places don't allow that, I was thankful for that, because I've had weightloss surgery so I can not eat much at all. “I am born and raised in San Antonio in which I have always gone to Tex mex restaurants in the city with my family and I’ve never even heard of this place until now. It was way better than I thought and it is a good portion of food. I got the big teka. Their cheese enchiladas were good with the chili on top being the signature part. The puffy tacos they provide were puffed up well and tasty. This is now a good option for whenever I come back into town to get Tex mex.“

“cannot believe this location doesn’t have 4.9 stars. i was a chilis hater until i started coming to this location. every single staff member goes above and beyond for service, food always comes out hot and consistent, and it’s a legitimately warm environment whenever i go. one of myself and my partner’s comfort places. also lets us split meals without ever feeling bad (pls always tip like you got two though!!)“

“I usually love this place. Go there all the time the service is usually great and so is the food. Today….However, I was severely disappointed. I sat outside this afternoon to enjoy the weather and literally had to flag down the bartender to get her attention not once but twice and then had to ask a different girl walking by if I could tab out she was more interested in having conversations with another bartender than paying attention to the people outside and they weren’t even busy.“

“This is our first time coming here. Small restaurant and small parking lot, but it looks like there may be additional parking in a big lot adjacent to the restaurant. The restaurant is small, not too many tables, but they accommodate large families by putting tables together. They also have a few booths. My husband and I visited and the food was so delicious. The salsa and house-made chips was good. I ordered shrimp enchiladas with a verde sauce. My husband ordered the carnita burrito. It came with rice and beans. The refried beans were authentic and rice was very good. She waitress was so sweet. The portions are big and the price is very affordable. It was only my husband and I. With our meal and two drinks it was only $35. Don't let this little place fool you. The food is so good!“

“I gave four stars only because the food didn't really taste fresh. I'm not saying it was bad but it seemed like it was warmed back up. Like I said it wasn't bad, but the tortillas were the worst. I opened the tortillas and they were hot fresh and super soft but after like 2 mins they got hard and kinda crunchy 🤷. The staff was nice.“
