“We’ve had the pleasure of working with Smokey Mo’s Catering Team for our Player Appreciation parties at Texas Two-Step Gaming, and they absolutely knock it out of the park every time.

We host monthly events for 75+ guests, and Lindsey and the catering team are always incredible to work with — from helping us choose the right quantities to making the ordering process smooth and stress-free. Their experience really shows, and it makes planning these events so much easier on our end.

We usually pick up from the Leander Smokey Mo’s, and the in-store staff is just as outstanding. They’re friendly, double-check that everything is correct, and always help load the big orders into the car — which is hugely appreciated.

“Love the Sirloin cut steaks, very tender and not a lot of fat. We had good service. The only bad thing is, the music is way, way too loud, its hard to have a conversation especially if you have hearing problems/hearing aids, I hope that the management will take this in consideration and turn the music down.“

“The brisket, ribs, and some of the sausage were a little dry, but I’ll give them another try. The chicken, though, was incredible. Hands down the best BBQ chicken I’ve had in Austin. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and worth going back for. The dirty rice was delicious, and I’m excited to try the chicken and dirty rice plate. Potato salad was a bit too eggy for me, but my husband loved it. Friendly service, and I hear the turkey legs sell out fast. I was there at noon on a Wednesday and they were already sold out. If they’re anything like the chicken, I get why!

“I recently moved to Austin and was pleasantly surprised to find a great BBQ spot in my neighborhood, located in McNeil Crossing, the strip mall next to Palmer H-E-B. I don’t eat out much or eat a lot of red meat, but I love brisket—and theirs was tender, not too smoky or salty, with a classic BBQ sauce instead of the thick kind.

I also tried a chorizo breakfast taco. The chorizo wasn’t greasy and came in sausage-like chunks, which I actually liked—I just wished there had been a bit more of it.

Service is excellent. The owner, Eric, is very friendly, and the place has a small-town, welcoming vibe. I also really like the restaurant’s cheerful, clean style. Great spot overall!“

“Delicious food, attentive staff, and cool decor. We always have a blast and a delicious meal when we go to Honey Pig. If you don’t know what to order, my recommendation is to pick a combo. The severs will cook it for you. They always give our toddler balloons weighted down with chopsticks to keep her entertained while we eat. Sometimes there’s a wait, but they will text you when your table is ready, so you can go browse H-Mart while you’re waiting. Highly recommended!!“

“If you haven’t tried Bill Miller’s brisket tacos, you’re missing out on pure happiness wrapped in a tortilla. The brisket is juicy, smoky, and so tender it practically melts in your mouth. Every single bite hits with that perfect Texas flavor.

The bacon and potato tacos are another level... crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Just perfection.

The restaurant smells amazing, the service is quick, and the vibe is relaxed. But fair warning: don’t order the small drink unless you’re really just thirsty for a sip. “Small” here means tiny, blink and it’s gone.
